  2. I agree that it sounds like a sample, "the way it loops" as you said. @astralprojection so Juan doesn't answer because he is too important to reply to the average miserable people? Lol. The guy is the definition of one hit wonder, never felt he had any talent...

  4. The bassline sounds very aggressive and supports the track very well. The Kickdrum is very hard and supports the whole track very well, too. I find the bassline and the kick amazing. Another trackwith a very good bassline and kickdrum is Doof - Sacred Sun.

  6. Astral Projection - Visions of Nasca (ambient mix) The mastering sounds a bit like selfmade, but the track is one of the best track of Astral Projection and only Communicatio by SFX is as good as this track.

  15. Can someone recommend me similar tracks to the album Boris Blenn - Berlin Future Lounge? Especially the rakcs Kosmonaut, Sunshine and Northern. It is similar to oldschool goat rance by Boris Blenn, but with other synths. I hope for recommendations
  16. Everytime I finish a new song, I perform the following steps to enhance the quality and also the loudness: 1.) I apply low-pass and high pass filters on the most tracks to filter all ultra-low and ultra-high frequencies which aren't really audible. This damps the amplitudes clearly in many cases. This step can be skipped for all instrument tracks which already have a low peak but sound loud enough. 2.) If the first step is not sufficient to raise the track volumes enough without clipping, I play around with limiters and compressors. There is no common plugin I always use. It heavily depends on the track content which one is ideal. Playing around with the settings I try to damp the amplitudes and keep the audible difference as little as possible. 3.) If some remaining tracks still sound to quiet and are nearly on clipping, I try to search for alternative patches and sounds. 4.) Now, the requirements are met to adjust the mixer settings of all tracks to find out the best interaction. If some sounds remain to much in the background due to the dominance of others, this problem may be solved with different panning or in the case of atonal elements or drumkits with a slight pitching. 5.) If some tracks could sound more expressive, I apply EQs, reverbs, chorus or modulation effects on them. 6.) I export the whole song now. If it should just become a freebie for Soundcloud and similar platforms, I continue with the Audacity program (a free audio editor). With the visibility of the waveform, I use included limiters there to exploit the given dynamic range with a loudness that matches the similar music. But if the music is for a commercial release, I forward the exported audio to a mastering engineer. If a vinyl release is planned to, a different master is required than the one for Spotify, Deezer and whatever.

  18. I will try to improve the track and work on it a bit more then I will share here, to see if I'm moving forward.
  19. Opinions are having a common point, I guess jc303 aren't just working well, maybe is better do the bass with synth1, the pattern is very repetitive but the melody sound good imo I just need to do some variations, synth1 is a great synth it sounds very clean and have some depth texture, reaper is fine it have nice effects for mixing and mastering I just need more skill. I want to do an creative goa trance an original oldschool vibe from the 90's, I don't want to use vital or serum for now, I not wanting to achieve a track all pumped up, I trying to do something simpler and natural now.
  20. eheheh it's a valid opinion but you are comparing my music with what artists just to know? I have the notion that the track don't have a story structure and needs a lot of work but there are some positive points sounds clean at least, in my opinion is not that bad you are pushing too hard.
  21. Oh come on, that's a bit rude @astralprojection! There are kinder ways to express what you just wrote... Nothing wrong with posting music online (even "bad" one) to receive constructive feedback So that's what I'll try to do! Sure the track is very repetitive and the structure are very simple, but I think it's on purpose in order to better test reaper so that's not an issue here There are some parts that are way emptier than others, though maybe once again it was to test reaper in different auditory environments? I think the atypical tonality you used is supposed to be more mysterious / dark compared to most Goa Trance? Then you'll need to add more atmosphere and FXs, and of the unsettling kind if that was what you intended your track to sound The high-pitched 303 doesn't have enough modulation to my taste The bass doesn't really work imo, I would either use a more typical Goa Trance bass or add modulation to bright out its acidity! I would make the kick louder (no need to turn into a Nitzho-producer like me though :p) and increase its basses and the snare more... powerful. Not necessarily loud, just powerful if you see what I mean. It shouldn't be too loud compared to the kick. And the kick should be louder than the tambs I would add more variation to the tamb pattern And little reminded that musical taste is subjective and most people probably dislike Psytrance in the first place 😛
  22. Sounds like straight butt. Since noone seems to be telling you your music is ass I will take this responsibility. Sounds like ass! 😀There's no redeeming qualities neither unfortunately, tbh. Well the hihats sounds pretty clean. Start over and try again. Also, why do you post your music online when it sounds like crap. Reminds me of me back then. I used to do that very same mistake some 20 years ago. Even here I posted it, on another username.. I wish someone told me then it was shit.. It would've helped me alot. So hopefully this will be of some help. It's trash. Go again. Peace ✌️

  26. lolololol I woke up with this sample in my head this morning. Did a Google search for <<goa trance sample "I feel like I'm losing my mind">> and this thread was the first result. I laughed very hard when I opened it and realized that I had created this thread and it appears to be a common issue in my life. FFS
