Similar tracks to Boris Blenn - Berlin Future Loubnge
Radish6404 posted a topic in General Psytrance
Can someone recommend me similar tracks to the album Boris Blenn - Berlin Future Lounge? Especially the rakcs Kosmonaut, Sunshine and Northern. It is similar to oldschool goat rance by Boris Blenn, but with other synths. I hope for recommendations - Yesterday

Tips about mastering
Progressive Anarchists replied to spacer's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Everytime I finish a new song, I perform the following steps to enhance the quality and also the loudness: 1.) I apply low-pass and high pass filters on the most tracks to filter all ultra-low and ultra-high frequencies which aren't really audible. This damps the amplitudes clearly in many cases. This step can be skipped for all instrument tracks which already have a low peak but sound loud enough. 2.) If the first step is not sufficient to raise the track volumes enough without clipping, I play around with limiters and compressors. There is no common plugin I always use. It heavily depends on the track content which one is ideal. Playing around with the settings I try to damp the amplitudes and keep the audible difference as little as possible. 3.) If some remaining tracks still sound to quiet and are nearly on clipping, I try to search for alternative patches and sounds. 4.) Now, the requirements are met to adjust the mixer settings of all tracks to find out the best interaction. If some sounds remain to much in the background due to the dominance of others, this problem may be solved with different panning or in the case of atonal elements or drumkits with a slight pitching. 5.) If some tracks could sound more expressive, I apply EQs, reverbs, chorus or modulation effects on them. 6.) I export the whole song now. If it should just become a freebie for Soundcloud and similar platforms, I continue with the Audacity program (a free audio editor). With the visibility of the waveform, I use included limiters there to exploit the given dynamic range with a loudness that matches the similar music. But if the music is for a commercial release, I forward the exported audio to a mastering engineer. If a vinyl release is planned to, a different master is required than the one for Spotify, Deezer and whatever. -

This is our bandcamp site offering our physical releases: https://progressive-anarchists.bandcamp.com/ And this is our very old-fashioned 90s-style website: https://www.progressive-anarchists.org/ -
Opinions are having a common point, I guess jc303 aren't just working well, maybe is better do the bass with synth1, the pattern is very repetitive but the melody sound good imo I just need to do some variations, synth1 is a great synth it sounds very clean and have some depth texture, reaper is fine it have nice effects for mixing and mastering I just need more skill. I want to do an creative goa trance an original oldschool vibe from the 90's, I don't want to use vital or serum for now, I not wanting to achieve a track all pumped up, I trying to do something simpler and natural now.

Oh come on, that's a bit rude @astralprojection! There are kinder ways to express what you just wrote... Nothing wrong with posting music online (even "bad" one) to receive constructive feedback So that's what I'll try to do! Sure the track is very repetitive and the structure are very simple, but I think it's on purpose in order to better test reaper so that's not an issue here There are some parts that are way emptier than others, though maybe once again it was to test reaper in different auditory environments? I think the atypical tonality you used is supposed to be more mysterious / dark compared to most Goa Trance? Then you'll need to add more atmosphere and FXs, and of the unsettling kind if that was what you intended your track to sound The high-pitched 303 doesn't have enough modulation to my taste The bass doesn't really work imo, I would either use a more typical Goa Trance bass or add modulation to bright out its acidity! I would make the kick louder (no need to turn into a Nitzho-producer like me though :p) and increase its basses and the snare more... powerful. Not necessarily loud, just powerful if you see what I mean. It shouldn't be too loud compared to the kick. And the kick should be louder than the tambs I would add more variation to the tamb pattern And little reminded that musical taste is subjective and most people probably dislike Psytrance in the first place 😛

Sounds like straight butt. Since noone seems to be telling you your music is ass I will take this responsibility. Sounds like ass! 😀There's no redeeming qualities neither unfortunately, tbh. Well the hihats sounds pretty clean. Start over and try again. Also, why do you post your music online when it sounds like crap. Reminds me of me back then. I used to do that very same mistake some 20 years ago. Even here I posted it, on another username.. I wish someone told me then it was shit.. It would've helped me alot. So hopefully this will be of some help. It's trash. Go again. Peace ✌️

the goa constrictor replied to the goa constrictor's topic in General Psytrance
lolololol I woke up with this sample in my head this morning. Did a Google search for <<goa trance sample "I feel like I'm losing my mind">> and this thread was the first result. I laughed very hard when I opened it and realized that I had created this thread and it appears to be a common issue in my life. FFS - Earlier

P.D.F.O.S stands for Psytrance Dolls From Outer Space, the brand new single track by Koera Noera. From the abyss of dark psytrance, the track morphs into an entrancing forest of hypnotic rhythms, before culminating in a radiant twilight crescendo that feels like the rebirth of stars. This electrifying anthem, crafted at a pulse-racing 160 bpm and infused with intricate sci-fi and cyberpunk elements, tells a story of celestial mysteries and cosmic energies. Imagine traversing an enigmatic alien jungle, where glowing bio-luminescent trees pulse in harmony with cybernetic beats, and shadows twist and shimmer under twin moons. A true masterpiece under Mushlight Records, this release promises to resonate as a genre-defining experience, igniting dancefloors and leaving listeners spellbound. nitzhogoa Azétris - Sunrise Dance (Nitzhogoa Version)
Azétris posted a topic in Free Music Promotion
Hi! Not sure how many people check topics on this part of the forum, but it doesn't cost anything to post my music here! 😛 I just published Sunrise Dance (Nitzhogoa Version)! This is the fully-Nitzhogoa version of a Funkot + Nitzhogoa track I made for a compilation with fellow internet genre nerds! (Funkot + Nitzhogoa (Nitzhokota? :p) version: Azétris - Sunrise Dance) As you may have noticed if you clicked on that link, I based the cover art of this single on that of the compilation of the original version. I hesitated between 155 and 160 BPMs and ended up going with the former as I already made a Funkot version of this track that was 180 BPM lol. Posting once again the link to the fully-Nitzhogoa version for emphasis on this one instead of the hybrid Funkot version:https://soundcloud.com/azetris/sunrise-dance-nitzho-nitzhogoa-version Have a nice day! ^^ -
I actually listened to Balbalot 2 after this one and somehow, it manages to be even worse! 😭 I couldn't keep a straight face through the first 2 tracks ahah. Also, why the fuck are many / most (don't wanna check, hope you understand why) of its tracks straight up atonal?! I didn't have the strength to write a review for it. Didn't know about Palavot though! Thanks for the suggestion, though I'll need to rinse my ears before trying this sort of experience again! 😛

Can't believe the day actually arrived someone reviewed this CD in such a lenghty fashion. Bravo. Also I concur with opinion. PS try out Palavot or Balbalot 2 for some more ≤ 2.5/5 Nitzhonot.
