Classic tracks that you think are nothing special
draeke replied to Manuser's topic in General Psytrance
So I don't know if this was already brought up but... blasphemy coming here: Electric Universe has never been my thing Except some tracks that are classix, many others are truly forgettable and for sure after stardiver it really never appealed to me. The full on stuff, i have never heard anything of it, so I can't judge, I am only speaking of 95-00 -

Thanks for letting me know about this release on the other thread Trance2MoveU! I became fond of a track that I will surely enjoy and use in some sets So once again, kudos for you! Does anyone know who's the producer behind this? I'd be curious to see if he did other music

Thanks for the honest feedback, but as all is subjective, as I have to say that Tiara grew on me up to the point where I like it more than Phantasmagoria... Long ago in '98 I had the same reaction as you guys but nowadays the buildup till the wonderful finale with all the swirls and the layers makes it the track i really like the most of the EP and that brought tears to my eyes when heard for the first time in all it's glory courtesy of the great makeover it got from Samuel . Abstraktd is a difficult track, surely most oriented for people of the tracking scene and for who used to listen to primitive forms of electronic trance and ambient and dare to say chip-tunish, but I like it as well and think it deserved to be on the EP as the closure of this psychedelic chapter. @Trance2moveU: I had massive laughs reading about your master-plan about the Van and well, it would have been awesome and fun to do that ... I'd be very happy to meet you whenever you'd visit old Europe! And thanks also for the awesome reviews you always give, wohoo!!

@radi such a shame there is no scene in Bulgaria but i know that some people do like it, and they don't go to chalga parties (although these can be fun to attend to)..

I also think it is all goa trance and guess what there are now other old names returning to their roots, releasing awesome newly produced mixture of what we used to call full on (post2k) with psychedelic swirls and elements like if we were in the 90s. Check out the TIP releases and you'll listen to something that we cannot define like "neo full on mixed with neo goa" but simply call it goa trance the way it was in the 90s if they had better equipment. So, the revolution started by Suntrip in early 00s finally spread its message around and even old timers re-appreciate the use of psychedelia mixed with top notch production and guess what, i like it very much! That said I think we can still use neogoa vs oldschool goa just to differ about the age in which it was produced but that is all... with no negative connotations whatsoever

"Ooo it's Elysium who opened the thread, the biggest maniac of rhetoric, lol! Joske lied a bit there. He says he never used the world "newschool", but it's actually wrong. He promoted it more than once at event sand on different promos on the net, hehe. Well basically, this word came in a conversation I had with Filipe (Lost Buddha) in 2006. We differenciated ourselves from the old gold era for obvious reasons: based on technologies (analog vs software), and fresh modern sound & skills. Also at that time they were some compilations who appeared under the title Neo Full-On from Yellow Sunshine Explosion, meaning that a new kind of sound that differenciates from well-known standarts. But yes, of course it's all goa music. No question about it. " That's Cosmogenesis speaking, who wrote this in response since he is no longer a member.

got any vinyls left mate?

yes Penzoline, it makes no sense, mastering and artwork are very important and have to be chosen wisely but I can also understand that professional mastering for 3 cd can cost almost as much as the pressing itself, for the artwork on the other hand you can find some talented designers who would do a full cover even for as little as 100 eur (yes complete), so that should not be an excuse..

Just a quick one to bump up this thread, as there are still plenty of tshirts, as of today: Black: 3S + 5M + 2L Blue: 4S + 6M + 8L Green: 3S + 6M + 8L Red: 4S + 6M + 8L + 3XL I have sold out the XL (black/blue/green) literally in one/two weeks but they were enormous, so please check the size-guide images that are on my website and I am sure that for who normally likes big tees a L is more than enough and a M would fit most of the people (me and mauri from etnica use this size for instance). Now I also take the chance to tell you I ran a little research before realizing my tshirts and after having analyzed the market and whatnot I feel like the quality I offer and my price is not really bad. If you check the following producers, of psychedelic shirts, you may see prices far higher than mine: Threyda/Nomad-Wear/Public Beta/ Space Tribe/Shaman Electro/Uggagula/PlazmaLab and more... I have noticed that prices range from 25 to even 56 eur for a t-shirt (excluding shipping!), so all considered I think I am offering a product in line with the market prices and of high quality . Furthermore remember that the sale of the t-shirt will help me release more music since I invested a lot in this and I really need to recover somehow to ensure a smooth continuation . Boom!

[DATLP004] Etnica - Live in Athens 96 LP - On Vinyl!
draeke replied to draeke's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Hi KiNG and all the loyal fans, I have enquired more pressing plants to see if I could find a better deal since I went a little low on the campaign but not too worry, it is going forward. I am also in the process of pressing my first VA ever, which didn't help for timing (was supposed to come out way earlier) but anyway, the LP will be a reality, during the summer probably. Cheers!- 29 replies

Scientists Discover Normal Looking Psytrance Fan
draeke replied to Imba's topic in General Psytrance
I've always looked normal, my entire life, except some psychedelic clothing's, mostly in the heydays and now when i dj, and I saw many people like me at parties, especially in the uk. not to mention at some twisted records parties i even spotted some gentlemen in their 40s-50s wearing elegant shirt and jacket, just removing the tie to be more comfortable, so there is really everything -
This is hilarious mixing up Jaja and Jaia first of all and then some people recommending stuff from both artists . Abasio obviously recommended you something great from Jaja, but also Jaia has ambient stuff, so to sum it up, listen to both Radi. Finally Jaia is one top notch talented producer who did marvelous outside of reality pure goa in the 90s, some killer ambient in the 00s together with excellent melodic progressive trance. A talented producer, without any doubt, but I don't feel it has a connection with Astral Projection.

great news and solid sounding remixes!
-
the first one is either stanley shanti and the chillum wallas or another on POF, either way quite famous tune to me, but name cant remember, played it loads long ago track 10 is the best, want to know it
-
Some tracks surely deserve attention, good luck to him in his new projects though and you never know, he may return to it in the future!
-
he surely tweaks tracks on live sets and maybe desk mix them with some of the samples and fxs placed in different points of the track to create a unique live version...
-
yes, soon enough the tshirts will be back in the shop!
