Fabien, give him a call then, so we can finally know what's up -
beautiful shots! thanks for sharing

my god, is this really what goa gil plays now? it's a mixture of delirant robotic metallic 180 bpm sounds.. there is no track to identify here mate. really.

The video was super cool, and the track is nice. But I wonder, are they allowed really to shoot such videos? They risked quite some lives there, not to mention it's all completely illegal. at the end it says dvd coming soon, but maybe it was all staged and filmed with license and stuntmen and whatnot, although it would cost a lot to close so many roads probably.. wicked!

I was wondering, what are the most important releases of 2010 and 2011 of full on (not neo-goa), that you would recommend me to listen to? Being always chasing oldschool tracks, artists and whatnot I haven't had the time to follow or listen to any new productions if not really a few. So I am wondering who are considered to be the best artists and the best psychedelic tracks produced in the full-on genre? Please no cheesy pop-trance, no metal trance, absolutely no dark-psy, twilight or Suomi, just melodic psychedelic trance, and not boring or repetitive if possible . I heard a set by Shane Gobi in London a month ago and he blew me away, it was like being in the 90s many melodies and psychedelic landscapes but it was not neo goa nor oldschool , it sounded modern and full on but extremely good. I would like to discover some new productions and who knows, maybe DJ it a bit too. Thanks for any suggestion with all your suggestions so far i summed up the best psychedelic modern full on not sounding oldschool here: Albums: Aphid Moon - Super Collider (2010) Astrix - Red Means Distortion (2010) Atma - The Secret Of Meditation (2009) Bitkit - Logical (2007) Fearsome Engine - Biting Point (2009) Fraktophon - Nachtvolk (2011) Hyperion - Drop Psychosis (2008) Jirah - Pretty Chaos (2010) Kiriyama - Reach Escape Velocity (2010) LOUD - The Remixes (2011) Man Machine - Reintegrate (2010) Master Blasters - Life Changing Experiences (2011) Mekkanikka - 2046 (2010) Micky Noise - Maya EP (2010) Ovnimoon - Geometric Poetry (2009) Ovnimoon - Signals From The Surface (2010) Ovnimoon - Magnetic Portal (2011) Protoculture - Premonition (2010) Psilocybe Project - Brave New World (2010) Psilocybe Project - We Are All Creators (2011) Psychomental - Mind Needs Heart (2010) RAZ - Recorded Dreams (2010) Snag The Sunshepherd - Realities (2010) SOM - Morning Trip (2011) Sonic Elysium - Mahaon (2011) Terrafractyl - Chrysalis (2009) Wizack Twizack - Space No More (2010) Yudhisthira - Civilization & Transcendance (2008) VA: VA - Goa Culture Vol. III (2011) VA - Myriad Expressions (2011) VA - Temple Of One (2009)

One of his best albums, and half of the tracks on this one are pre 2k, so pure mindblowing goa, not to mention the awesome cover, Great review, you said everything already!

Here we are with a fresh mix for you all . I think this one is quite nice as I went through many different styles and vibes, I hope you would enjoy. http://www.sendspace.com/file/c4h5bs Best!

Wicked , i didn't know what to expect from this but well they went a completely different direction. Of course here people expects to hear/read only about psychedelic music but as far as i am concerned I like also alternative rock / folk and many other vocal genres, so i was quite surprised to hear this style coming from Simon and Benji. I cannot say this is better / worse / similar to Coldplay as I don't know their music too well but I found this release refreshing and relaxing. Vocals are nice and the electronic parts very well done. There are different moods through the tracks and that's make it a release to keep on the ipod to listen to smth else. Will edit later with a list of favorites but so far there was no tracks i hated or found bad.

In my opinion this is a strong solid album, one of the best downtempo release of the year, come on, the fact there are different vibes from dubstep to almost reggae is to be praised as a very interesting way of using different musical genres into one big psychedelic Calderon. The use of weird voices also creates an interesting pattern into one of the track (can't remember the name). Still, I liked the most his debut album which was a masterpiece, but this one is pretty cool and found myself listening to if over and over again. I give this album a solid 8/10

draeke replied to Walkabout's topic in General Psytrance
Jos you cannot not mention the greatest find of all times u did, I will always remember how i couldn't bid for that auction that i was following since days, with the whole blue moon catalog, you won it for a ridiculous amount. i had prepared an offer or 300 eur for it and arrived home too late.... :=) . But I was happy it was you and not some unknown bidder from God knows where -
cd/psytrance madness is starting to kick in! 2 problems
draeke replied to technosomy's topic in General Psytrance
Rip all the most precious and keep the FLAC (save space instead of WAV and it is the same)archived on 2 drives (one for listening one for backup) that seems to be the only way to preserve the music as long as you live. Physical media will deteriorate eventually at some point for different reasons (smoke, humidity, scratches, etc). I started ripping some years ago but I also have way too many and am not even near the 15% of it probably :/. -

http://www.discogs.com/Various-Infinity-Hz/release/48808 in mint conditions for 1 pound would be my best deal at a Camden Market stall in the year 2000. There were so many top bargains cd back then widely available there for ridiculous prices, I think I got almost the entire dragonfly , flying rhino and tip back catalogue's (95-00) for 2 to 5 pound each back then, all were available around. -
Hey Komix, i'm not familiar with your nick, but obviously you have been buying for a long time too, got an accout on discogs too? is always nice to know all the big collectors out there!

Pleiadians - I.F.O. for Hunab Ku - Magik Universe
draeke replied to Phobius's topic in For Sale/ Trade
Hi Pat, yes they probably do but it is not very easy to reach or deal with them, that said if they are listening I would be interested. -
Thanks once again to you all for all the praise and the positive reactions, many hidden gems were indeed finally released here, we are all so happy! @Technosomy, ahhaha no the Godfather will always be only Raja Ram!! @Sideeffect...: most of the tracks were never mastered before and we got the studio takes from the artists, a few that were released only on vinyl were remastered but most of them were treated for the very first time. @psytimeofmylife: I am afraid so, it sold like nuts , 10 copies a day or smth like that, people realized it was going to be a special thing and indeed it was. Thing is on the market were placed only something more than 300 copies, the rest was given to artists and or contributors, I kept a few and sold all the rest but maybe some of the contributors still have a copy for sale, ask around ! Thanks again, we donated with all your help a bit over 4000 pounds to Children Walking Tall, a FANTASTIC success! http://www.childrenwalkingtall.com/Newsletter/2011-10.htm we have our own paragraph there now, check it out!

http://www.altar-records.com/alwoods.html What a nice surprise, this album comes out today courtesy of Altar Records and it is a very nice piece of work. At first I was a bit skeptic because I have never heard the name of the artist before and after a quick check online i couldn't really find much, but i decided to give it a go and listened to it anyway. It opens smoothly and progress into what we can define as a beautiful journey into the lands of progressive trance and downtempo vibes. The production is good as well as the mastering and the artwork, Zen did it as usual and it looks pretty brilliant! Let's go through the tracks: 1 The opener is great, has the beat but is somehow relaxing and that sets the mood for the whole album, nice. 2 The first of my favorites, excellent use of a voice in the background, dreamy and psychedelic, the way it should be. A superb track with an oriental touch, bravo! 3 Near Light: Good solid track, could have been a little longer maybe but it prepares you for the nice journey that is about to begin with the next track. 4 Psychedelic Dream: is a very relaxing track, possibly my most favorite on the whole album, really floating out there and that gave me a sense of inner peace. 5 Low Red Moon, it's an OK track, actually is the only track that I don't like too much, but it has an interesting moment right before the end. 6 Sun Trap is the most "positive vibe feeling" track of the whole album, it feels like summer, a great track that would be surely reserved to melodic and joyful sets. 7 Samo8raki: Is another favorite, it is entrancing and captivating, with the repetition of the word used in different ways so that it creates a deep connection with the rest of the music, mystical atmospheres and excellent use of pads. 8 Kerkini Lake: The closing track is a middle tempo acidic track that tells a story, it has its apex in the middle where an intriguing melody appears in the background, a great closure to a very nice album. Another solid release from Altar!

DAT Mafia Recordings is working on its own while with DAT I am trying to work with etnica, more news soon.. Re releases of Blue Moon records seems to be very very hard, but if anything hunab ku should be re-released in my opinion and Psy Nergy as well.. -
http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=145286&ev=rb Minimal Elektro probably sells the original pressing, 45 eur is a great price for that cd

@ALL: I am not in the position to share anything, I run a label and receive music from artists which trust me, so do not ask please. Regarding etnica, I am working towards a possible release of their live sets, stay tuned Regarding live sets of KoxBox , do not share the live at burning man please, KoxBox may want to release it at some point. As far as what concern the hyperstate I am not the one having it, who has it will decide for himself what to do with it.
