Ok is about time i reveal some info . Etnica live is postponed because of some technical problems but WILL be done, no worries. Now is time to announce that my next release will be the crossing mind album. Be sure that I will have his music remastered from the original WAV. Stephane is veyr cool and is doing an amazing job in preparing his liveset for Belgium next month and finiding all the original files for the purpose of the release. I must thank you all guys from psynews because if it as not for you i wouldn't have been able to track down Stephane. He sent me many more tracks that were not shared in my previous post of his free material and among them i found some mindblowing goa you can't believe.. or better, you WILL believe when you hear them So wish me good luck for this one and I promise to make it out as soon as possible! Thanks for all the information and IMba, all the contacts you can find are valid and will serve for the label purpose! Now back to work, some serious stuff to remaster etc! Oh and thanks for the great vibes and support!

Elysium Live versions - Best rated on Ektoplazm
draeke replied to Elysium's topic in General Psytrance
Hi Kris, I will comment the music after I hear it but I am sure I will like it . The point about bookings is that there are always friends of friends, personal favours and the alike but be sure of one thing, all the music you shared won't be for nothing. Maybe it needs some time to fully kick in and get people (read organizers) to seriously consider booking you. I am surprised if anything because you are not a newcomer and had been playing for many years (let alone release on many different labels back in the gold times) but anyway the point is that there will be some feedback sooner or later and the fact that a lot of people are enjoying your new music is a good start. So think positive and I am sure things will change. If I hear about any organizer in Italy willing to have "new" artists I will surely reccomend them to ask you. Regards and thanks for sharing! -
what was that supposed to mean exactly ? If anything I suppose I am entitled not to like darkpsy am I? I save some stuff out of darkpsy such as the old xenomorph stuff, magus, toi doi, parasense-paranoic sensations, xp voodoo, some ocelot and most of dark forest psy. I just don't like russian metallic garbage sounding darkpsy (russian is just the place they produce most of it i think). About Gil interview, I listened to it and i don't think the message he spreads is wrong, i just wish he would do it with suntrip records music and the similar. I think the impact or the vibe generated at these parties would be much better. i wonder if we should send him some promotional stuff so that he would be able to hear the difference with the dark music he plays. he must remember how it was back in the 90s. But some points he touched are true like when he says that the global knowledge has incredibly mutated, evolved if you wish and with so many forums and websites people are surely more aware of what is out there and also what was out back then. And another thing he siad is true, we are all the same everywhere in the world. We want to have a good time at the parties and have a good life generally.

i got myself 1351 psytrance albums now.. here's my list.
draeke replied to a topic in General Psytrance
This topic was fun to and make me realize how in 2005 was really l33t to own over 1000 records. now with discogs i see collections of over 4000 records so often and i think nobody is surprised no more (but tell they often are of mixed genres). On the Goa side i am happy to be one big collector myself and i always had so much joy in finding some rare obscure record and to discover it was worth the chase . Also i think joint/shared collection are a real rare thing nowadays. -
hey i like abstrakt 3, that one is nice. The rest is so-so but maybe you can try using another program as the ideas were OK. cheers

draeke replied to Djuna's topic in Free Music Promotion
talented you are mate, i like your track get you ass to psy harmonics or even to inpsyde media as this could work also on some forest trance compilation -
penzoline: the last track is a superb track isnt it ? is a track almost nobody has unfortunately, a unknown french project that i discovered only recently :/ They released 2 ep only on vinyl and nothing else (and they are insanely rare as they were sold only in the south of france in a few shops in 97-99). Will reveal the track-listing a little later

this mix was realized for the hunab ku contest mix, courtesy of marsh of the goat ranch USA. it's a mental mix with some of the most wicked tracks i found in my collection, assembled just with the purpose to give the idea that psytrance should be diversified and varied and that to create a psychedelic mix one has to dare. so have a good listen and see if u can identify the tracks in it . i am sure some of you can. the tracklist will be posted later on. no mysteries! i also enclose the description i gave for the contest: The mix is structured in this way, and is conceptual (track number followed by a description): 1 the intro, one of my favourite pieces ever of electronic music, is simply terrifying. as my mind is. the acid part 2 a track from 1994, a monstrous stormer, a secret well kept, obscure purple vinyl (a real gem). 3 a track from a known composer but strangely enough it never made it on any cd. a b-side, but what a track. 4 this is the mystery track i love most, is just insane beyond sanity, the sample is simply perfect and for the rest, hear it, i have no words to describe it. also a vinyl-only track. incredible it never made it anywhere else. the insanity part 5 one funny story about this track. i started hunting for this track back in 99, i heard first from a guy in india who sent it to me while we were trading unreleased and it was really a mystery for a looooong time. until i got it identified by a swedish guy, because well, he was the guy who made it and asked me how i got it, since i used it in a mix of mine and he somehow listened to it. it is somehow sort of unreleased cause it was given around to friends on some cdr the artist compiled and never properly released, but circulated a lot and many knows it nowadays. 6 at this position i had in mind to place a track by magus, i have dozens but simply couldnt decide, i burned 5 of them on a cdr and tried to mix them with the previous.. none worked, until i got an illumination, a revelation from above… what if i place here that insane track i always planned ot use in a mix? maybe is it too crazy.. hmm maybe not.. marsh told me to experiemnt.. and there we go! have a GOOD LAUGH. this track is a stomper… i couldnt really pitch it down as it would have sounded much less interesting. so enjoy it at regular (155) speed.. lol. 7 the end of the insanity part.. a fantastic freaking funny finnish track by a VERY talented musician and bass player (the final part was played live i have been told). this track is based on a incident happened on a heavy metal concert where someone threw a sausage to a very famous band while playing (cant remember who but in the caliber of motorhead or metallica). this guy unfortunately released only 2 tracks buyt made like dozens, i have only like 10 but i know he made many more. he is very famous in the finnish trance communities. 8 the end of the insanity part is with one wicked sample, you will hear. is one of the first piece of moog made music i ever heard in my life, i think i was 7 when i first heard it and i immediately fell in love with this. i had to use it. the goan part 9 and at the end i couldnt bring on the full goan energy that connects us all, so here is a stomper track that is somehow a transiction from the previous part, is still a bit wicked but it surely has a goan sound to it. just released on vinyl this one. 10 a very nice psychedelic piece courtesy of a french guy, vinyl only. 11 a beautiful track that was also vinyl only but this one u can easily recognize made by who ; ). although i hope u never heard it. 12 the surprise of this week, a french track that is nowhere to be found if not on a ep we have in 2 only in discogs and that was never distributed anywhere else than in south of france. such a shame. but here i come to bring you a smile with a perfect conclusion to this essay. http://www.sendspace.com/file/sudnr4 enjoy and let me know if u dig it!

i usually get inspired after i meet a nice girl and therefore want to crreate smth, that's usually how it happens. But no, none of them got seduced by my mixes . unfortunately i have YET to meet a girl liking goa music... since they all usually listen to commercial stuff. btw penzoline, i wish! hopefully one day some of these artists will want to work with my label

About Fluorotronik: Kalle of Tranceform has all the mastered files and the entire artwork of course. He proposed me to release it on DAT records but i heard it all and the sound doesn't fit my label. I suggested him to ask phototropic records or some others. It has a few nice tracks but is too modern sounding psytrance for me, it's somehow oldschool oriented but there is some full on too.
-
that's an instrument used in the last shpongle album and i seen also one guy playing this in the city of brugge (belgium), it sounds amazing!
-
can we narrow to pre 2k releases this list? it could be interesting to list the real oldschool tracks
-
this could result in being an interesting topic: was ever made a complete list of tracks containing oriental melodies, sitars, chants and so? we all know shiva sidpao had many of these and surely a lot of other producer tracks, but the ultimate guide to "ganesh/shiva/indi" oriented tracks was never made, as far as i know. what if we gather our knowledge and make one ?

I think the guy just happened to seek labels in the wrong moment and yes he really chose the wrong ones. if it was 96 he could find a deal immediately I'd say. Unfortunately the year 2000 was really the moment when EVERYONE was fed up of the goa sound (except the old-schoolers) but the main scene was looking for smth diverse. The people that followed since 93 or 94 were really bored of the straight in your face melodic goa and wanted diversification. Now 10 years after I can see there is a return to the roots of goa and melodies are somehow striking back, even in some full on modern produced tracks. In any case now there are many labels that will be interested in releasing his music and i can agree a bit that he needed some proper mastering but the tracks are really good at par with imperial project. Shall i go hunting imperial project too now ? Nah.. is enough for now

http://www.discogs.com/Bass6-Probe/release/174775 maybe? give us more details, was a tune listened at the radio? at a party? was it a vinyl? or a CD? this is a bit vague
