What a marvellous EP! I think Roman made some incredible improvements in his composition skills, he really made some tripping psychedelic music here. The bass is fat, the sounds are swirlings and the atmosphere is cool all over the release. I remember hearing his early works and they were good but not at this level, he reached the status of serious producer. So about the tracks: 1 Analemma starts slowly and adds elements to the track, in a subtle way, they are in the background but are surely trippy elements and u catch them as they appear, very nice atmosphere all along. Vote 7 2 Patterns In The Chaos starts with a wicked voice that soon gets the support of a FAT kick and bassline, really well done! In no time you find yourself flying with the rest of the sounds and it evolves with a wicked metallic sound that really does its job.. later on the voice comes back but just in little parts and the main synth takes in.. a nice rotating effect that blast till the moment a nice melody comes in the background and leaves you enchanted, deep and good. Vote 9 3 Iapteus a bit darker and less melodical but equally well done and at a certain point a melody comes in, somehow acidic and keeps on repeating and adding some echoing that does nice to it. Up in the third part of the track the melody takes more part and more importance and makes it a very interesting track, it takes sometimes to kick in but at the end is a nice track. Even if the best still is the second for me Vote 7 4 Echolot powerful kick and fast speed here, on the same mood of track 3, but in a more funky wicked way, i like it more as there are some surprising mental effects, a deep track, nice! Vote 7/8

moksha is no more as one of the band members (Thorn Hoedh) unfortunately passed away in 2003. on this band i have to say that the productions are really mysterious, and many albums are totally missing, like these that i know of but never found anywhere: 1994 DLS - Planet Arrakis (Ambient Homage to Frank Herbert’s Dune) TPL 010 TP MOKShA - Settings 1992-94 (Electro Trance Edition) TPL 018 TP 1995 DELYSID (DLS) - Purity Ov Substance (Ambient Live) TPL 019 TP Spiritual TRANCE + Psychick RHYTHMS (2nd Karma Compilation) TPL 025 TP 1996 DLS presents SUB/NAVIGATION (Ambient Live Illumination) TPL 023 TP HOSTIA/MOKShA - Morphik Labyrinth (Ambient Musique) TPL 024 TP 1997 THORN HOEDh - ALRAUNE (23 Neurolyrickal Essays) TPL 032 PB MOKShA - In Lak’ech (Neuro Psycho Chemickal - Promotional Edition) TPL 036 MCD 1998 DLS - Deus Lux Solis (Ambient Musique Project) TPL 037 CD does anyone know how to get ahold of Paul Hostia ? i'd really be willing to have a word with him. to joske: about toi doi i hunted everywhere, i even think i found his brother but no answers regarding Gilles anywhere i looked, i am damn interested in releasing his old unreleaseds but seems like an impossible deed. same story for Gilbert (asia 2001) nobody knows where he is and great mystery regarding amanite fx too.. as for me i wonder where are : Christos Tatitzikidis & Kostas Alekoglou (Magus members) i know chris is now igneous suria and kostas is phacelift but they are not reachable since some years.. i was speaking with kostas back in 2005 but that's all. .. oh well seems that kostas is back now that i looked around: http://www.phacelift.co.uk/ with some updates in 2008, so he is not lost anymore.. but the website was outdated for a long time.. i guess i'd leave the info here so somebody may look the site as well. i wonder where Marcello Bonifacii aka aeternum is finished as well alphanaut disappeared as well, even if i know one of the two is making house music now (murray antill), and is sad they stopped making psy as they had an album ready back then. many more will come to mind... nice topic in any case

WOW, you do have a serious setup! glad to read that i wonder how it does sound on your gear goa trance ehe, my 2 setups together are much less valuable! ehe.. I still think not many people have floor standing speakers, and i listened to them for the first time in this shop where i tried the rf 82. i am kinda ALWAYS into oldschool stuff ahahah, oldschool to the bone.. ah hem not really lol, and no, is not about crop circles sales, that money is very well saved for the next project that i am currently cooking eh! and i suppose that i cannot afford the tube amps.. i wonder, though, how are valvolar amps, i have been told they sound fery well even if they need like 10 minutes to warm up before giving their sound.. have you tried them ? thanks for your nice answer btw, i will read better about your gear now!

I bought the AKG K701's!

top killer headphones (or cans as they call them in the US). i think the original color looks fantastic even if everyone seems to prefer blue ones. i can tell i have had Sennheiser, first a pair of hd455 and then hd280 silver (and still using these) but these last ones managed to kill my left ear... after DJing the Sylvester night of 2003 from 23:00 to 8:00 am in a small club (YES i did that) at some points i was having just one ear covered (the left one) and i got it overtired with high volume.. at the end of night it was kind of "ringing" inside and from that day on, with certain high frequency sounds at very high volumes i feel some sort of crick crack in my ear, just that one so i understand where this permanent damage came from.. so: PLEASE, be cautious about the volume of your headphones.. i learned it on my own... now back to topic: i've read that the only headphones able to surpass the akg701/702 are the grados gs1000 but they cost 1000 dollars.. and frankly, they look terrible + probably not the best for the psy music . So overall, i think you have the best headphones out there! i am tempted to someday consider upgrading to this brand, but i want isolated headphones, not some that people can listen from the outside, in this my Sennheiser are excellent and if i understood well the ones you have sound also outside. maybe another model of that brand will do for me -
OK a bit of story of the "studios" every band member had some gear, like Andrea was the owner of the jd800, and the rest of the team, each had some stuff so when the band formed they joined all their gears. The old studio moved around, in Milan as well, in different locations (soundbuster studio was called at the time of alien protein). Then when the time was to move to Ibiza Max and Mauri brought there what they owned and Carlo and Andrea kept their stuff. There was also a time in 96 when the studios of etnica and lotus omega were joined and that's when they made the crop circles material for instance. I know that they had a Oscar synth as well, property of Franco. As I should see today Filippo of lotus omega i will ask him what they also had and if he remembers exactly what gears the etnica had etc.. and write down on a paper so i will update the gear list here. about the new studio of Etnica? i have photos, i will upload them but i know right now they just realized a new recording studio and i haven't seen it yet! beside: Diaks you have some serious graphical skills. I checked your website, just couldn't find any music as they seem to have been removed. I wish my website looked that awesome

Hello, i currently have 2 setups for audio listening, one at my parents and one in my place they are composed like this: after this i want to ask an opinion about a possible change of the setup i have at my place. legenda for amplifiers : model name / power / impedance / year of production legenda for speakers : model name / max power or rms power / ohm / hz response / crossover / db / year of production @parents: amplifier: Sansui AU-5500 (japan) / 32W RMS x Channel / 8 Ohm / (1976) speakers set A: Tannoy Surrey Esher SL 25 (england) / 100W / 6-8 Ohm / 52Hz - 20kHz / 1800 Hz / 90 / (1985) speakers set B: Wharfedale Denton 3 (england) / 18W RMS / 6 Ohm / 60Hz - 18Khz / 4000 Hz / ? / (1972) this works well with warm music like classical, jazz but i listen to hallucinogen with it and still rocks the voices play very well. @my place amplifier: Sansui AU-G33X (japan) / 45W RMS x Channel / 8 Ohm / (1985) speakers: Indiana Line Arbour 5.40 (italy) / 40W RMS - 80W / 8 Ohm / 55Hz - 22kHz / 3100 Hz / 90 / (2003) but the result are not excellent, the sound of indiana line is great, but can be better and also my ampli has now died, so i was thinking of upgrading to this: amplifier of dreams, if i can find it: Sansui AU-919 (japan) / 110W RMS x Channel / 8 Ohm / (1978) speakers that i listened and found for an excellent price : Klipsch RF-82 (usa) / 600W / 8 Ohm / 33 Hz - 23 kHz / 2000 Hz / 98 / (2009) but there are other options such as: amplifier marantz pm7200 or superior and other speakers like wharfedale (england), tannoy (england), B&W (england), dayens (serbia), audes (estonia) i was nicely impressed by the sound of these klipsch and i could listen to lunar remix on them, if anything the sound is very loud and a bit metallic but they were made to play loud music in first place. Also it would be very nice to see your setups guys and what kind of sound you like etc, just don't advise me to get the TA-10 as i don't really like such a tiny device to be used as an amplifier. Just for the record i could listen in a shop near my home the blueroom speakers, funny was to see them, but they used a jazz cd to preview the sound so i don't know how they work with electronic music. PS: any suggestion on other vintage amplifiers is accepted, i love japanese sansui though and will be hard to change for me, i grew up with the sound of it since i was a kid. Hope this topic may interest someone .

I want to tell that etnica, never had a real TB 303. their setup was more or less the same that Filteria has: Access Virus B Clavia Nord Modular Clavia Nord Rack 2 DSI Evolver E-mu Morpheus Ensoniq ESQ-M Korg MS-20 Korg MS-2000R Korg Prophecy Novation BasStation Oberheim Xpander Roland JD-800 Roland JP-8000 Roland MKS-50 Roland SH-101 Roland V-Synth XT Syntechno Teebee Waldorf Q and as a mixer mackie 64 channel now i don't know if in these machines above there is something extra but as far as i remember he recreated the exact same studio the guys had. the main synth used for alien protein album and vimana single was the roland jd 800 and roland sh-101. the swirls made in lunar civilization remix were made with ms-20, when i was in Ibiza Mauri showed me a realtime tweak of the track and i immediately recognized the same sound manipulation of lunar civilization remix. i am not an expert in technical things and this is all i can tell about the issue + EDIT: OH and by the way, the track nice toy was made in 1994, i seen it in the studio in Ibiza on DAT, it was released many years after, they used to play it in livesets and no, is not a remix or remake the one released after, is the exact same track.

superstars in israel yeah! they are coming back, one way or another and i am happy about it. also nice remix and let's hear how will the new tracks sound!

sounds quite psychedelic but the sample is very short.. i don't know it, not too oldschool from the kick i'd say

from google cache, year 2003: " This is Pzeffan from NarcoleptiK Trolls On ACid. I currently live in the Murfreesboro Area of Tn. I've spent the last year working on developing a style and learning the craft of music making with pc's. I've made enough tracks to have an album. I have decided to make this album available to everyone for free through download. The name of the album is called "Firefly Soup". It isn't up to my standard to market as an official NarcoleptiK Trolls On Acid album but there are still some really good songs on there. Check out my artist page for info on how to get a free copy mailed to you in 48kz stereo 24bit .wav format if you like it that much. I just want to get the vibe out early before I let loose. My studio is getting a professional overhaul at the moment but new tracks will be available by the end of the year. Thanks to everyone who has supported my music. http://www.besonic.com/narcoleptik_trolls http://www.mp3.com/narcoleptik_trolls " did anyone download this full album or contacted Pzeffan to have the full promo in wave? is he still around here? hopefully someone will give me a contact to him maybe...- i do have 5 tracks from him but that came from another person, and i was doing some researches till i found this.. and i also found he had many other psytrance project. i liked the 5 forest trance tracks that i have received.

thanks for so many comments, i will have to compile another cd for her! about the younger brother track and other similars, these are lovely but i don't really need to make her listen tracks with voices heavily distorted, i need clean vocals as i would want her voice to be heard and not computer alike (even if melodious like in younger brother). again thanks for all the input
