who should complain about moderation? owners and mods should be always right no? beside, who's the kid still messing around on forums.. seems pathetic to me

thanks for such a great review!! i tend to try different mixing techniques altough i am far from what i would like to achieve, if you've ever seen mauri or young mixing you would just go nut.. their skills are amazing, i tend to try to imitate, but still playing 2 tracks simultaneously from beginning to end and switchin ping pong from one to another is like impossible to me.. but i'm working on that. The mood transition was ment to be i decided to blend really different kind of styles in this mix for the reasons i explained when i posted the mix on first place. Now for a flow of "all the same music" u should check my blue moon dreams . again i'm happy of the review! cheers to finalnd!

how to see if your mp3 / wave is of high quality
draeke replied to draeke's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
I knew there were other ways to check audio quality but since i spoke to a lot of people unable to check their mp3s or waves i felt an urge to make a guide on a forum where there are many people I am sure once u sober and get sane from beyond sanity you will understand. Another reason is that there is a lot of etnica material floating around which was rencoded from 128 or 160 xing to 320 and a lot of wannabe traders who think they can fool around other collectors -> hence my guide .. be sure to check everythign before u trade! -
All Facets of trance according to me (2007 version!)

truly xcellent, it was nice with covers but this way is much more readable! it's incredible how many sub styles there are -
how to see if your mp3 / wave is of high quality
draeke replied to draeke's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
aliened, i dont really understand what you're talking about , i will check this program, but my intrent was to teach how to check your own collection of unreleased tracks, or even released stuff that someone gave you. of course ANY printed cd that u buy in a shop is full cd quality, this is to check other material . it seems strange something checks directly from the cd without ripping to hard drive in any case. -
how to see if your mp3 / wave is of high quality
draeke replied to draeke's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
what's to compare? once u checked your track, you understand what quality it has. did u understnad how it works? every track at wave/cd/dat quality should be like the one i presented as wave: with full spectrum of sound (means all cloured up to over 20.000). u dont have to compare it with anything else -
how to see if your mp3 / wave is of high quality
draeke replied to draeke's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
nah this is the only real and very easy way to tell! only your eyes can see the level of the frequency, besides, once u open the program, load the file and click the spectral analysis button, it appears immediately. -
I decided to update my guide to recognizing a proper WAV from an MP3 at different quality and/or a MiniDisc Rip. This is the only reliable way to tell because you can actually SEE how it is.. Let's start with the images: Image 1: the typical mp3 back in the late 90s , encoded with XING (one of the worst encoders in terms of quality) and usually at 128 kbps Here u can clearly see how the frequency are all CUT: There is a maximum level of 15000 hertz and a lot of loss in quality. Image 2: Mini-Disc RIP: this somehow is almost a wave, in the meaning that this track was probably recorded from good source to a mini-disc, and although not perfect it is way higher in quality than a badly encoded mp3 Typical Mini-Disc RIP, some frequency loss. Image 3: A true WAV, you can see there is no cut whatsoever, and the track goes up to all the frequencies. True DAT/CDDA Material, no compression or loss of frequencies, whatsoever. Image 4: Scene MP3 in VBR or 320 kbps quality: this is the typical "mp3 scene" quality, is not bad at all, only really high frequencies are cut, and these tracks can be played on high-end systems too. Program used: Adobe Audition CS6 (same as Cool Edit 1.2, just the newer version). Guide Revised and Updated 14 July 2013.

here we go.. it was a while i wanted to make a pure oldschool mix, so i picked the 8 blue moon records cd and made a mix with them, plus a bonus track which i discovered lately and totally adore but let the tracklist speak for itself: 1 RA - Beyond Control 2 Dimension 5 - Transformation 3 Hunab Ku - Phoenix 4 Electron Wave - Gravity Well 5 Dogma - Eastern Dawn 6 Astral Projection - Maian Dream 7 Moon Tribe - Moon Child 8 Ganesh - Eastern Trip 9 Blue Planet Corp vs Jaia - C’Est Un Belle Journee enjoy! link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U5GUIFLE http://rapidshare.com/files/40693454/DJ_Dr...07-iND.mp3.html PS: last track isn't exactly pure goa trance but i wanted to put it there . Removed yousendit link as it seems it doesnt work

i read all your comments and i understnad what the fuzz is about more or less.. reger, anoebis, divine and everyone, this release wasn't aimed for you probably, it has oldschool elements and maybe some electro influences but it was born as psytrance. The fact that andrea rizzo made the music in it didnt automatically mean it had to be goa trance, did it ? they all moved on from that genre, they never intended to make it, so you really must compare the album with what's being played at parties, and what's being produced right now, excluding people making oldschool because arkanoydz aren't! they aim to be a great psytrance new generation band and i think that the result is really well packed, well mastered and sounding brilliant! I am not an expert to make comparisons really but i heard positive comments around from people producing new style music! I got my original copy yesterday and it really works on the stereo! PS: for sure i would love to hear some oldschool produced by andrea , etnica and the old gang but that's another story

My friend Andrea Rizzo ex-etnica is selling his jd 800 with all the sounds and presets they used to make the album alien protein and all the etnica tunes of the time. Just so that you know alien protein was 90% made with this keyboard. The keyb is in quite good shape and u can see some photos here: http://s103.photobucket.com/albums/m122/draeke/JD800/ he doesnt need it anymore and thought that maybe to someone might do better. Is located in Milano of course and either you can come and pick it up or we can ship it anywhere.. just know it would be quite expensive to ship it (probably 100 eur or more no idea honestly, have to check). Otherwise if u want to trip over here, meet me and andrea, see arkanoydz studio and all, well you are just welcome (but u must do it in the very next few days). The keyboard was cleaned very well after i took the pictures (sorry there was no time when i went to the studio to make the pictures) and Andrea tested it for over 3 hours, everything works. cheers!

Kisjar dj-set: "Trans-Atlantic Flight.mp3" [61MB, 1'07"]
draeke replied to Kisjar's topic in DJ Promotion
excellent stuff.. too bad at 128 kb/sec.. if u have the wave can u rencode at higher bitrate ? so i'd burn it and keep it in car for listening -
humm.... running in shadows hiding.. must relisten to filteria and asia 2001 with more attention then... but are you sure ???

first track is israeli... might be power source or something similar.. very nice one, i recognize some elements here and there.. typical of 98 sound.. second track is also somehow known, melodical all the way, still israeli i guess.. but w8 it may be somehow filteria.. third track is french.. total eclipse or blue planet for sure.. but not the title.. i know it very well.. i also know the sample but maybe is a remix, not sure i heard in this form. fourht track.. hum...never heard it, not any hint of the sound either, just powerful psy fifth track is known.. ahh damn.. i know it. filteria again i guess. sixt track i dont like and doesnt totally fit... is somehow sounding strange deep and with some fx too opened but then there is a indian line which is good. seventh track i also already heard, a classic, but as usual no idea, maybe toi doi i know the main synth line 8th track as a nice chorus, and is pretty straight in your face, known as well. mixing is ok, quite smooth, few suddne changes here and there but now please reveal us the names, my crappy review is too generic
