Ok sorry to keep asking about downloads but I still don't quite understand it..
I purchased an MP3 file from trackitdown.net at 192kbs - when I download it, the window shows a "transfer rate" which continuously changes, but was usually between 90-100 kilobytes/second.
Is my MP3 file still at 192? Does the "transfer rate" effect the MP3 file?
Also, when I go to record the MP3's from my computer to a CD, I use the built in Record Now software on my computer. Does this software record the MP3 to CD at whatever I bought the MP3 for?
I know that the Record Now program will only encode a CD-->MP3 at 128kbs - does this mean it only records an MP3 to CD at 128?
This same program will make exact copies of CD-->CD discs though..
I didn't get into "Forever After" that much - sounds to me like a lot of other old-school goa...
Sort of like X-Dream's first album - "Trip to Tranceslvannia" - that one didn't impress me much either...
Hi all, I see that I-Pod encodes CD's to MP3 at 128bs - is this sound quality noticably worse than a CD?
Is there an I-Pod type thing that does MP3 at 320kbs or so?
I've had the double CD set - Energy/Synergy for awhile now...
I like the Blue Energy disc better I think...
Still don't absolutely love it but I think it grows on me...
Dang man, hook it up - can you make copies?
I've got a CDr that is:
1. Bring Your Own BIOS
2. Logarythmic
3. Idiot
4. Snickesnack
5. Degauss
6. Errorhead
7. Dit Nam I Min Mun
8. Lex Rex Perplex
I'd happily send you a copy of that one if you want for trade...
Or if anyone else has misc tracks they would swap for those that I have send me a pvt msg...
Never heard of it - is that available anywhere?
I posted this link on the promotion forum, but here's a little known Hux Flux track - "Equivelent Equations" which is fantastic - can download it from this link:
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/psy_tranc...ack/106449.html
Hux Flux is like 95% Dennis Tapper - listen to the tracks he released by himself... Logic Bomb is great too but that distinctive Hux Flux sound has remained with Dennis Tapper...
I didn't like "Division by Zer0" that much though - gone are the insane twisted melodies they incorporated before...
"Radio" is amazing - it came out a little before "Cryptic Crunch" too didn't it?
Both albums are just so phenomenal and unique though - the advent of the "tech" style and that whole breed of un-earthly sound effects...
Well this album looks like a dissapointment...
"Borat" though was fantastic! I swear that movie was better than sex - I never laughed so hard in my life!
Oh jeez, there's heaps in that other thread too!
I haven't had much luck trying to find downloadable electronica... I check beatport, trackitodown, and cytopia..
None of those places have anything that isn't really mainstream, like Hallucinogen and IM...
Can you recommend a good site for such downloads?
Hehe ok:
The Gathering - very good
Classical - Outstanding
BP EMpire - Very good
Converting Vegetarians - very good
IM Supervisor - mediocre
Even IM the Supervisor had some good tracks - the last 2 are killer...
Converting Vegetarians has some moments too - and the experimental side is excellent...
Ok maybe I'm being a little closed-minded but still...
Let me say it like this - if this wasn't Koxbox but some unknown act that released this album, I bet it wouldn't get much notice...
Music is weird though, sometimes when I hear something at first I just don't "get it" at all, and later I do... The first couple times I've heard this album it isn't bad, but sounds an awful lot like a bunch of other stuff...
Mercy... Sort of like later year Autechre and someone from Finland got together and went on a crack and ether binge... About 4 days into the binge, having not slept at all, they decided to start making some music... And the rest, as they say, was history...
