Yeah, those too. My statement was relating to Anoebis' post, 'there is no god, because I say so' people are also very enjoyable.

Oh yes, I forgot about Sienis, sometimes he's too fast for my taste, but knows the game . Thanks for those above, I'm digging in! Pre-IM I know and like, also I've heard 'Launch For Lanctus' before and it reminds me of some Sesto Sento's work (happy, hands in the air full-on), but not this kind of crazy . That Fragletrollet is a scary one, schizophrenic stuff , will go deeper into it. Damn, You gave me three labels worth checking, this could take some time...

That's very interesting read with all those theories and insults, both present as usual when there's debating religion. Glad to see smiley at the end . I don't know if it's belief itself, I think it's more about the way some folks are using it, the 'you're not believing in God, so you're going down' or 'my God has better apps than yours' type of people. Nice one with Plato's Cave, Oopie . We're living in such times that even when something truly amazing/impossible (delete where applicable) would happen (idk, Second Coming for example), bunch of people would be denying it's existence until the very end, the same with the opposite. To ease the tension a bit (I hope it won't be other way around ), few weeks ago I've listened to an interesting private discussion about magician Dynamo being a god-like figure. One of debaters said, that if the divine being would come to Earth, he/she/it shouldn't connote himself with any religion, simply because of the denial of the others. He should just familiarize everyone with his abilities and make another step. Perhaps Dynamo is doing it right now...

Listening to 2Minds' <Wave Shell> reminded me how much I like those crazy artists trying to do psytrance sounding like some circus parade on drugs (well, sort of ). Instead of describing, here's my subjective list - I know of IM, Talpa, Misted Muppet, Terrafractyl, Planum, PoF, Intriga, Escape Into and maybe Spacey Koala. So, who's missing? Thanks in advance!

One sentence description fits very well, breath of fresh air. Thanks for pointing this one out, great release.

Pure quality & great ideas + tons of energy + sentimental value = Tribute More than 17 years have past and this one is still my no. 1 psy/goa trance track of all time. Go Etnica!

Depressing as hell, one bad thing causes another even worse and so on... But, yeah - it's woth the time.

, this and reviews I guess, because many times I've visited this forum or Discogs looking for some infos I've stumbled upon the same names all over: Yours, SkeletonMan, DeathPosture, PKS & some more (now it's mostly one man's job left for T2MU). Great way to leave mark for later

That's an impressive number of posts for an one-year absentee. Hi, btw

So, those are the times first wave goatrance producers are starting to look like Rolling Stones or Deep Purple nowadays, nice dads or granddads anyone can notice in the park .

I've seen John Woo's epic war movies: Red Cliff part I & part II and I liked it a lot. It floats around events leading to the Battle of the Red Cliffs. Althogh according to the director, it's not all historically correct, the movies itself made great impression on me (and on bunch of people around the world aswell, in China it topped Titanic ). Recommended.

Hmmmm, how I missed this thread is a mystery... ...anyway, hello! Although I've registered here in '07 I was more of a reader (some say 'lurker'), nowadays I try to write sth on psynews from time to time. I'm an on-and-off goa/psy listener since '96-97 (it comes in phases, I'm in goatrance/psychill period since july ), garage house & 2step has my second hemisphere. I did some producing although not counting the very beginning it wasn't trance, well now it's creative impotence since I even forgot when. Once again hi, & see You all in different topics .

Did You have some funny situations to tell about?

What music are you listening to right now?
ptn replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
I remember this one, good times . -
Did I just have plastic bag on my head for a second ? Interesting experience, I think I've listened to few tracks which were playing with the idea, but it was some time ago and I'm pretty sure it wasn't psytrance. Good idea but in small doses.

I don't know if You by 'stress' mean violence and gore or simply tension. To me it's a no-brainer. Extreme stress as a plot device vs moderate stress + well crafted plot are both acceptable. It all depends what do I want to watch at the moment. For example, there are less than plenty martial arts movies with good plots, usualy it's some sort of revenge, training or quest/mission type of movies, so the viewer is counting on some good choreography and slick action which should generate stress to achieve its goal (of course not too inventive plot can be told in a great way aswell and it will be a bonus). The best ones are those with great plot and plenty of stressful situations .

A little bit off topic: could you explain those five stripes in Neogoa logo? Does it have some special meaning? Sorry, if it was clarified somewhere else.- 17 replies

I've just freshed my memory on this one, good times . Some of my favourites are present (Crystal, Vesuvius, Stratosfierce 2001, Klunk), but there are bunch of tracks foreshowing more dark and minimal era, so the subtitle 'The Next Generation' is spot on.
-
Interesting, what about music available only digitally? You're missing bunch of good ones.

How come we love psychedelic trance, and it irritates people?
ptn replied to Goa Travellers's topic in Off Topic
'I knew goa before it even became part of India, now hand me this glitch-fairy-abstract-hop compilation' Glad I made You smile, yesterday was a good day . +1 Yeah, I don't know why it's so hard to just simply say 'not my cup of tea' for some people. -
I'm aware of that, creating tension wasn't my intention, hence the smiley, sorry for my poor attempt in black (dark?) humour area. Fallen joke I say.

You're welcome. For me Artha is like Portamento - just pick random tune and You will be pleased .
