It always amazed me, when someone who's reading the same posts as me is interpreting them completely different. It's like splitted personality, one reads I'dont like it and the mind transforms it into I hate you and everything you stand for.

Reading this topic and playing detective searching older posts & topics mentioned here was (mostly) a guilty pleasure. Great time to stop just reading and start posting on psynews . The same feelings has to have guy who walks into a store five minutes before lunch break.

For some people the tune has plenty of 'oh no - not this one again' factor, being played almost as often as Sweet Dreams, Final Countdown or >insert random all-time hit here<. Personally I don't mind hearing Children in radio, elevator or during commercial - it always brings smile to my face and I think 'this one has slipped through your music borders'

I thought there will be some 'shame on you' posts, so I'm positively surprised Robert Miles gets kudos on this website. I loved dream dance back in the days, even the level of cheese and cliches was through the roof from time to time.

I read a short review on Discogs about this one and I'm almost on agree with the phrase it's just a big blob of sounds at the same volume with nothing standing out - let's erase the word "just" and we're on the same page. Having said that I think this album is well produced and should please anyone who likes their goa loud, screaming and melodic.

Speaking about mainstream music I hope some change is coming, look at the success of 'Get Lucky' and 'Blurred Lines' this year. They both of course have some electronics in it, but the sound has mainly retro-organic feel and I'm more than glad, cause pop has became very loud, screaming and unhuman, sometimes simply unbereable, most of the times they're not using the knobs correctly (imo of course ). Focusing on local electronic scene, after d'n'b/jungle fever came breakbeat/dubstep hysteria and now there's everything and nothing depends of the week/month.

Just finished KiloWatts' ‎ Ground State album, damn - great music, the farther into it, the better. Any similar recommendations apart Native State Records catalogue?

This could be right also because there are lots of them in terms of population, so they win statistically (I'm half-joking here ), but before someone mentions China or India I'd like to add that Germany and Japan have some sort of love and interest for fresh and innovative technologies. I agree with Purple Sunray aswell. Kraftwerk (along with some others) started something nobody imagined will be that big. Bringing up Japan reminds me that I often can blind buy their lounge/chillout/easy-listening tunes, because they almost every time take good care of it. Their love for instruments like piano, violin or cello (+ mixing them with electronics) is almost touchable.

Only If by 'ignorant' You mean people who don't listen to any kind of electronic music and don't know the concept of it. I remember listening for the first time to some grime music and thinking I'll wait for the final version, cause it's rough and missing lots of stuff. Well, it was the whole song made by one of the genre-stars. Consider me mainly deconfused .

Happens to the best Good timing with this comment - I've just listened to Artifakt's 'Artifakts' (wow, psyception here) and someone please help me with track no. 4 'The Pimp' - does it suppose to skip like this towards the end or read my previous post? In two different situations people have asked me 'is the CD broken?', and you could see they're not joking but quite concerned. I guess they've confused psytrance not with other genre, but with mechanical failure / .

My thoughts exactly. +1 Although it's pure goatrance we have for about 20 years, Goasia still found a fresh, tiny spot - the album really sounds a bit different than your everyday psy experience. To me, this album is something opposite to E-Mantra's 'Pathfinder' or Nova Fractal's 'Fractal Landscape', where I can't differ the tunes from time to time (is it third or sixth track already?). Goasia's LP is more like layercake, where you can see/hear all the instruments, some of them lead the whole music, while the rest is playing in the second row or background. In those two mentioned later everyting reminds me of salad - mixed flavours, nothing wants to stand out (but the flavour is netherthelss tasty ). I must be hungry writing culinary review of goa trance music. All comparisions aside - if you're into expressive analogue melodies, 'Dancing With The Blue Spirit' is worth the attention. Fans of not overstuffed and sometimes sentimental/melancholic, yet all the way super danceable goatrance should definately check this one out. 8/10.

At least he belongs in this topic, since You've thought about his music like that . I like those pauses, ending phrases other than a loud crash could be quite innovative (that's one of the things I like in full-on, some producers came up with nice ideas there).

I can't think of whole album now, but I'm sure Radiotrance - Plasma would be on such album. I use climax in this one to unclog pipes in my bathroom .

X-Dream - Freak Simply because it was the first track I've ever listened grasping the concept of psychedelic trance('Oh! So that's what psytrance is!'). Powerful tune.

Etnica - Tribute This tune will always be my favourite, when I heard those 'frogs' in the break, strange organ sound only Etnica uses and THOSE MELODIES for the first time, I was sold. Taygeta and Alcyone will be my monster picks by Pleiadians, but we all know those fellas are playing for the dream team almost every time

...and I see top tens all the time - top ten this, top ten that, best and worst album of X and so on. To be honest I'm almost sure topics like those are posted quite regularly. I think there's no need to exclude those themes, it's like having a beer with some friends who like the same stuff but have diverse opinions - some subjects are like boomerangs . My 'underrated artist' vote goes to Darshan.

One of few tunes from the golden era I've discovered recently and have listened since every week. Pure energy.

For me, the first statement is a normal opinion just in the second part (i find it boring and uncreative), does shitty music slides into an insult category, maybe because it looks like a statement, but it's just my opinion .
