I've been listening to this EP alot now, and if the rest of the tracks keep up the same standard I will buy it for sure. Even if it's a crappy mp3 download I would still do, if that makes any possibilities to get it in materialized form some day...

Prahlad: Movements of Consciousness Release info: Movements of Consciousness was inspired by an interview with Dr. Goswami, a leading quantum physicist. This radical new science is revolutionising many people's view of the world, and being fascinated with its fundamental theories, Prahlad became drawn to write a unique accompanying soundtrack. The album spans a wide range of electronic music: influences can be heard from Electro, Progressive and Full On. However, the overall sound is distinctly different: besides contagious groove elements and psychedelic effects, it also leaves space for expansive arrangements and captivating melodies. These are augmented by introspective breaks that incorporate sound textures from all over the globe: Buddhist mantras and ethereal female voices are varied with acoustic instruments from the eastern and western music traditions. The album concludes with a hypnotic ambient track that shows a glimpse of what is to come in the down tempo album which is in production now. Tracklist : 1. Hommage to Moog 2. Meditation 3. Man Up 4. Psyched 5. Astronauts 6. Movements of conciousness 7. Shantified 8. Illusision 9. Raver for life Review: It's hard to find good psytrance releases these days, and I was very suspicious when I first heard of this album, I have never heard of Prahlad before and I was very skeptic while listening to this release. I feel as it hasn't been a really good release of psytrance since 2003, at least not for my taste. I like melodic psytrance, and if it's not to be melodic it has to be really good for me to appreciate it. Prahlad's album is kinda slow paced comparing to most psyrance that comes out nowdays and extremely melodic. And having a soft spot for that I fell immediately. It's not something ground breaking, or innovative but the tracks are nice, well composed with nice melodies in them. The more I listen the more I appreciate this album. The intro to Psyched I believe the sound is taken from one of Bluetech's tracks just can't figure out wich one. All in all a really nice album that fit just into my taste, and one of the better releases in many years. I urge all of you who are into more melodic music to check this one out.

Ok this album is getting better and better, I don't know you're connection with metaphysics and so on and I do not take part in the argument that seems to go on between some folks here, I just say what I think of the music. What I want to say is that I was never a fan of Goa, and recently (recently = some 1 and a half year)I have been trying to listen more and more to it, and this album made what IM did for me in the psytrance genre, what Bluetech did for me in the Ambient Genre, you really got me to appreciate Goa. And truly I find it hard to listen to most psytrance nowdays, IM were great but to be honest I don't really think there were many others that good in the genre. At least now the psytrance genre is degradating in my opinion, and I don't like fullon at all only in small doses at right occasions, and I think I am leaning towards Goa really. It will be fun to follow you're progress and hopefully you will evolve and it will be a blast to see you're future releases. Time will tell... nothing is certain but death and taxes? well it was those capitalistic swines that made that up... -

Well judging from you're avatar and name of the song it seems that you are a fan of Infected, and I must say that this sound very much like infected. But ofc I as a fanatic fan can hear it's not I can't say the track is bad but it bothers me it's almost a rip-off from Infecteds sound. But you do have added you're own touch to it though. I would see this track as Rare is to the gaming industry, take the best parts from other games, put in you're own touch and make a game that indeed is a rip-off but still a very good game that will entertain. So I give you thumbs up, I like it. Wait! Is this a remix of an infected track I do not know about?! If so I got it all backwards... I just realized that my statement removes all the artistic sense of the music created in question, and I still enjoy it? Well I can't help thinking it's a nice track even if it's not good music in that sense... -

Ehrm well as I said I don't know anything about music making or mastering and so on, and I miss the vocabulary to describe it in English but I will try. Well most psy/goa trance songs are built up of basslines and sounds (including acoustic in some cases), and I believe that's the only thing. I think this is the case also in some of Vibraspheres tracks on their latest album, the sounds are not given enough boost so they get lost in the basslines and are rather difficult to hear. They become like some background thing, maybe this is how it was supposed to be in their tracks or yours but, in my taste I want sounds to have a more "main character" feel over them. Cause often basslines sounds roughly the same with small differences and I think that it's the sounds that really characterize the tracks. I hope you understand what I am trying to say I don't think I can describe it in any other way unless I take lessons in how to make music and learn all the proper words I need to describe it. note* it could have to do with my stereo set, I've heard the treble can be undermined on it in some reviews, but I have listened to other artist and there I don't get the feel of sounds being undermined the basslines. update: I heard Son Kite are good at mastering..ehhrm I wish they would help out a member of the psychedelic family....well.. -

Sry for my confusion but you are a new band called Eight Gates Infected? -
Yeah I enjoyed this track, it's so nice to see ppl trying to do their own interpretation of things rather than make some cheap fullon track. Cheers!

I like this track, a bit dark and sinister feel over it. One thing I didn't like was a particular sound that came just before the first sound sample, it felt like random noise coming at the completely wrong time bringing like an abrupt stop to the enjoyment of the track, also there were not really any climax, felt as a peak with more energy burst is needed, that is only my opinion though. Other than that it was a nice track.

I like this track, has a nice sound to it, very different from many things just mass produced out there...

I want to bring another thing to attention, I don't know anything about mastering or so, but this is just my feeling after listening to the album that many tracks I think the treble is too low, meaning the higher sounds get lost in the basslines. I really hope the retail cd will sound a little bit more clear and crisp, just a note. -
I feel the need to defend Vibrasphere here. All albums they made are great, and yes I agree you could start off with Lime Structure, but if you listen to newer albums you will hear that it is just a natural evolution of the artist. Also you can pick up Echo, and about the Selected Downbeats that Malevol3nt mentioned it is not available in retail so you will need to get it somewhere else.
