  6. It would be better that way indeed
  7. I think that's actually just a show he's pulling off
  8. Two very good tracks on Aurora 2, hadn't listened to it for years and forgot how good it was
  9. No he's been married a at least a couple of times and to a woman
  10. As this seems to be a somewhat official idm topic here I'd like to extend my appreciation to these old classics which I've been listening lately... Xela - For Frosty Mornings And Summer Nights & Logreybeam - It's All Just Another Aspect Of Mannerism
  11. I can't choose from the trance tracks so I'll go with An Ancient Tale
  12. Had forgotten how great Vollyed Iron was. Finally realized that it his best work <3
  13. Bricolage because of the memories followed by Supermodified and Permutation sharing the second place. Out from Out Where and Foley Room are very good too And for murphythecat; What I got from your first posts was that you thought that Amon Tobin had no real talent, ripped everyone off and was bearly listenable. I think you might wanna do some research and think before you post. It's natural to say that you don't like something but you always seem to come off like as you were the only person on earth who has a good taste in music and if someone disagrees they are just stupid.
  14. The cat named Murphy because originality and complexity mean everything even though he has no idea what he's talking about
  15. ...and what I actually got from your posts was that you thought Amon Tobin was ripping everyone off and had no originality and was mediocre that no one should listen to his music. Of course artists use same elements, some by mistake and some intentionally, it's the end result that counts
  16. Who the fuck cares? Just listen to the music and be happy
  17. Various - Boomkat Selected Mixtapes Volume 6 - Listen With Xela Yes, it's great
  18. Dude, all you needed to say is that you don't like his stuff, but what you did was bring up alot of comparisons to artists that are no way similar to Amon Tobin. Seriously, I don't think Amon Tobin's jazzy breaks is no way near Kettel or Venetian Snares. Some other Ninja Tune artists may be the closest, but Amon Tobin is one of a kind even if you don't want to admit it
  19. Well none of these artists sound like Amon Tobin imho First of all you listed some random IDM and breakcore artists that have nothing in common with Amon Tobin's music. Breaks with jazz samples vs. melodic idm like Kettel or insane breakcore like Venetian Snares. And can you give me some examples of who Amon Tobin is ripping of exactly
  20. So what are these similar yet more original artists?
