  1. This one is awesome.
  2. I think this album has bumped Shpongle's Tales of the Inexpressible out of the top spot for me. I don't know it's a very close run. It's definitely in my top 2 or top 3. Yeah, not all the tracks are original but they are so damn good. Especially Beneres (Varanaci Edit). That song just makes me die of happiness. This album is definitely 10/10 in my book. Maybe 11/10.

    Watchmen

It's been awhile since I've read the novel but wasn't only NYC targeted in the attack at the end? The alien was teleported in and it sent out brainwaves to people on the planet with images that the aliens were going to invade and that the should be as ready as they can be for it. As for the movie, Adrian made it look like Manhattan was the culprit and that multiple cities were targeted to make sure that any country would think it was their enemy that cause the attack. Since they knew what Manhattan can do, people feared at what he might do in the future. With Manhattan as the enemy, they could connect to him in a way that an alien would not because they know for certain that Manhattan is a real entity rather than some fictitious alien that only has a rotting corpse. I can see why they changed it but I don't know whether or not there is any proper way to measure what each different outcome would impact the world, imo.
  4. Not a bad album. My favorites are Circles, Computer Disorder, What the Fuzz, and Lo-Fi Adventures. Usually I don't like progressive trance too much but this album definitely was a great listen.
  5. It's definitely a wonder album. Kind of interesting that the names of the songs are named after the duration of each individual song. 14:31 and 12:18 are probably my favorites.

    Ott - Skylon

The Queen of All Everything, A Shower of Sparks, Roflcopter, and 382 Seaside are awesome. The fact that he named a song Roflcopter is hilarious also. I don't see why people should complain that Skylon is similar to Blumenkraft. So do you complain when a good thing is replicated a few times? Perhaps if it starts getting too repetitive but it just sounds like a bunch of whining to me.
  7. I have to agree with Joe and Towelie. It's a bit trancey to be fully enjoyable. But there were some tracks that were nice like Cosmic Flute and Trace.

I think so. Not sure if it's going to be topped anytime soon. So beast.
  9. oooo can't wait until the next YB album, same for live albums too.
  10. Happy Pills, Elephant Machine, and I Am A Freak are my favorite tracks. I guess I Am A Freak vocal samples are a tad bit cheesy but I don't mind them. The song is still badass.
  11. So it's grown on you a bit eh? hehehe Good to hear. I kinda hope beyond hope that they have maybe one or two tracks on the new album that area as long as ...And the Day Turned Into Night (or at least somewhat close to being that long). That would be super sweet dealy. But back to this album. I was hooked on it when I first heard Shpongle Falls. At the time when I first heard it, I was looking for some nice downtempo, ambient kind of sound but this fit the bill and then some. It was so mysterious and enchanting at the time to me because I didn't really know much about music in this kind of genre before then. It was a great experience to discover something like this existed, a very nice and enlightening surprise. I just hope they can still keep that Shpongle magical energy alive with the new album.
  12. This is definitely up there with Movements for me. It's really good. When Edges Meet is probably my favorite track.
  13. "And the gnomes have found a new way to say hoooooooooorrrraaaaaaAaAaAaYyYyYYYyYyYY" Edit: You can guess what one of my favorite tracks is on the album. I also love Around the World In A Tea Daze very much. But the whole album is all kinds of epic.

    Watchmen

+10 Rorschach is motherjunking beast! "Never compromise in the face of armageddon." Only beasts can truly say that. Loved the Comedian too. (Who is John Winchester in Supernatural ). He was a beast too but not as much of a beast as Rorschach.
  15. That's good to know. But it would/does feel weird to necro a thread...
  16. That does sound more accurate to me. Though, I suppose that people thought he came off as being bored of it and the rumors spread. As long as he has the strangled cat on the new album I would be pleased... maybe as a bonus track or something. heh
