Nocturna - Cronik Inpsyde Media, 2006 1. No Fear 2. Out There 3. Blasting 4. Nocsak 5. Back In Island 6. Craket 7. Loco Pirulo 8. Skating Solar Planets 9. Enterrador 10. Uda Project I must admit that this is the first time I have stumbled upon Willie Buetas, the man behind Nocturna. He is another musician from Ibizia, but, unlike some other artists from the land of never-ending parties, he chose a different path than, lets say, the Spun Records crew, which can be easily heard even after a quick glance at the CD's musical content. "Cronik" is a debut album of Willie under the guise of Nocturna and it was released on Inpsyde Media, a label which always pops the likes of "Psychedelic Sparks" compilation (remember Psynews.org contest?) and Derango's "Tumult" album into my mind. It goes without saying that the cover is really awful. As far as I am concerned, it evokes the same emotions as a woman with moustache or a fly in the soup. It stands a real competition for some other butt-ugly covers like the one on "Most Wanted presents Raja Ram - The Godfather", a resemblance of what the scene looks like, or the cover of Hypersonic's album "Freedom", which depicts perfect wanking fodder for gay magazines. Fortunately, major drawbacks of this album end with its cover, as the inside proves to be a match for my picky music-buds. We start off with "No Fear". Despite the name, the track gets under your skin and gives you the chills with its effective climate and stimulating samples. Definitely one of the best and distinguishing tracks on this CD. The second track, "Out There", kicks off with some well known phrases from a well known movie ("The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell in the air.") and quickly turns into a dark-trance acid frenzy. It manages to sustain the climate of his preceeder, though there is clearly more power in it. Hard and pounding, just the way I like it. "Blasting" is another tune with a solid backbone, though less straightforward than the previous track. Track 4 has taken me by surprise with its intro - astonishing! "Nocsak" is really willing to show who is in charge around here. I have the feeling that mr Buetas has reached his full potential with this track, this is really something and I mean it. The track is skilfully packed with samples of crying children (simply breathtaking and jaw-dropping), there is even something for the Indian-chants-freaks. One word: phew. "Back To Island" is much more minimalistic than the rest, which can prove as a certain disadvantage, nevertheless it is still deep and moreover hypnotic. With "Craket", Buetas takes - surprise, surprise - a more optymistic approach. On the whole it is not as profound and catching as the previous tracks, which makes me want to skip it. Luckily, "Loco Pirulo" easily dissolves this let-down in its subtle acid pit, serving one of the fastest and pounding tunes, yet maintaning sparks of joyfull atmosphere. If you don't like it, go f*ck a sheep or something. Smashing and mouth-watering piece of a mad dancefloor mo-fo. After an outstanding track came a mild tune, "Skating Solar Planets" to be exact. Nothing impressive here really. Unfortunately, "Enterrador" is not an attention-grabber either… "Uda Project" comes to the rescue and closes the CD with a faster tempo. A bizzare though well built tune to end the whole thing. In the end, the album is like an atmospheric thriller (though not entirely dark and scary), which is sure to creep you out with its highly effective elements. It stays with you, even haunts you. Willie Buetas a.k.a. Nocturna did a splendid job here, no doubt about the fact that he is a talented guy, though there are parts of "Cronik" that could be much better than they are. Still, the album leaves an overall positive impression and most of the tracks are a gripping and satisfying experience at the same time, great for the dancefloor as well as for homelistening. Some people will definitely get hooked on it. I did. Lucas Presents God Save The Machine TIP World, 2006 01. Raja Ram & Lucas - Intro 02. Eat Static & Lucas - Primative Earthlings 03. Tristan & Lucas - Porcupine 04. Dickster & Lucas - Living Dangerously 05. Laughing Buddha & Lucas - Binary Bonanza 06. Aphid Moon Vs Lucas - We Are Your Friend 07. Hallucinogen & Lucas - Pipeworm 08. Queens Park Derangers - Create A Hippy 09. Prometheus & Lucas - Nerve Centre 10. Sybarite - Liquid Lunched Info: WOW we love this! This album has been a long time coming. Our Tip DJ and Raja Ram's right hand man, Lucas has given us the album we have dreamed of for a long time. He has got together with all the best UK Psy Trance prodcers and put together an album that can only have been done in the UK. It feels a bit like classic Old School TIP but with new ideas and production. Really forward thinking, deep, mature and very psychedelic! There are many highlights to pick from. With Hallucinogen they have given us a very contemporary edge. It sounds like a more psychedelic "Trent Moller" The Eat Static track is also a very up front sound with electro and techno influences. The Prometheus is a master class in sound dynamics... very soulful! The Dickster one packs a serious heavy weight punch and Tristan, Aphid Moon, Laughing Budha all give us some excellent, banging UK Psy flavour. Then there is our new local Psy collaboration group. The Queens Park Derrangers! Lucas, Laughing Buddha and Aphid Moon combine to give us another killer slab of deep Trance before Lucas's band "Sybarite" take us out with a slow, heavy, chugger that almost sounds like the old X-Dream. A magnificent album and for TIP a welcomed return to a UK sound. COOL BRITANNIA! Links: http://www.tipworld.co.uk http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=5677

Lightsphere - Reflexion Mental Arts, 2006 Tracklist: 1. Reflex 2. Holon 3. Chinese Disco 4. Taniec Wymiarów 5. Time Guards 6. Lucidity Wavers 7. Yey Lot 8. Bender Info: Lightsphere are Aga & Waldek Biskup (DJ Dharma). They are born in Poland, but found their home in Hamburg. They live and produce together. Their music style is a progressive trance with warm atmospheric sounds, tribal percussions and positive vibes. The sound of Lightsphere is deep and groovy with some psychedelic and housy elements. Waldek was always listening a lot of different kind of music. When he heard trance for the first time, he was fascinated of the energy and magic of this music. He started djing 1995 under the name Dharma and played a lot of gigs in Poland. He decided also to try and produce some trance tunes. Aga is attracted by morning, sunny grooves. She likes weird sound effects and melodic elements in the music. She loves dancing after the sunrise and feeling the energy of the smiling, celebrating people. Aga & Waldek started their music project with a PC, a pair of crappy speakers, 2 synths, an analog mixing console, sampler and some hardware effects. Now they are using more software and mixing stuff from a various sources. They spend a lot of time sitting in front of the computer, experimenting with different sounds and try to express their feelings in the music. Lightsphere try to create a space and special atmosphere in their tunes. They got lots of inspiration from parties, the nature, good music and mind expending books. In 2005 Lightsphere produced their first album, which will be released in february 2006 on Mental Arts. Heh, funny to see that You are missing the third chapter of "Colours" in Your collection, while I'm looking for the second part. I've bought mine in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz, but I doubt there will be another copy, since it was some years ago. Still, on numerous occasions I saw "The Colours Of Shiva" series pop-up once in a while on our Allegro. Maybe try to post it also on Psytrance.pl in the Pchli Targ section. Apart from Gizmo there are some other people with quite impressive collections (Asphodel, Wujek Jurgen...). Anyhow, best luck in finding it. ps. "The Infinity Project - Hyperactive (Acid Rockers Mix)", "Psychopod - Dreampod" and "Sandman - Starfinder" own!

When I was watching this video it reminded me of the samples from "Astral Projection - Open Society" (9/11 samples if I remember correctly), but this is something totally different. To be honest I was trying to come up with a good comment on this, but in the end I can't... This thing is more confusing than eating a dingleberry pie would probably be. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7796090242499480819 Discuss?

Boy, this sucks donkey's balls. On the other hand, this is pretty much what I would expect from the "artists" who managed to rape the all time classic "The Delta - As A Child..." with their crappy remix ("X-Noise - Anjuna Beach" anyone?). Anyhow, congratulations and a cold beer to DETOX for running the whole "best of..." thing and counting all those votes. It was also nice to see two of my favourite albums from 2005 (Shpongle and Jaia) plus Tribal Vision Records, Penta and Wizzy Noise in the winning group. Really strong titles and names here. ... I think that the next "Best Of ... Results" will be full of Twisted Records.

Hi All ! "Hardcore Goa Trance Vol.1" is compiled by DJ MegaRaver. The direction of this compilation is massive full-on (except the last track) for bomb the dance floors. 1. Ibiza Armageddon - Drunk Clubber Has No Home (Escape To Goa Mix) Alex with 100% full on track. The first part of the track is very familiar to the regular full on tracks nowadys, but on 05:30 created a new story in the track - beautiful melodi enter together with male vocal and atmosphere of freedom and happiness, all together show us Armageddon's unique style. It's a refreshing change from IA. 2. MegaRaver - MegaRaver In Da House The second track came from pure full on artist. This tune just prove me the big improvement on MegaRaver's music, it just fit to all full on rules - fast base line, powerful kick and a lot of playings all over. One of the best track of MegaRaver for me. 3. The Prodigy - No Good (Midi Killiz Remix) Cooperations is a good thing (most of the times) and here we have one between two full on projects. Midi Killiz present a nice tune with good building and a lot of groove. Avarage full on track. 4. The Mafia (Interlude) Avi and Yanniv also unite forces for this comp. Avi's baseline and Yanniv's power. Without even see the artists, I knew it's Avi's tune because he have some special atmosphere and unique kick, now together with Yanniv the result is perfect...recommended !! 5. Skazi - Hit & Run (Shiva Boom's Christmas Terror Mix) One of the big hits of X&I get mix by Shiva Boom. Awesome remix, it's like a completly new track except the vocals & melodies. The remix is more energetic and agressive than the original version...way to go Shiva Boom. 6. Voice Of Pot - You're Not Free Very nice excellent tune. Voice Of Pot music is always something to look for, and here I finally got what I asked. Colya and Andrey did here very good work and take it to his direction with save the original melodies...special one ! 7. Astral Projection - Aurora Borealis (Boom Shiva's Return Of Goa Remix) After the release of their debut album, Boom Shiva keeps to rock with brand new release on full power ! dance floor stormer ! The style is not change, still the fast baseline with pomping kick and a lot of effects and games which punp you high every time...and the melodi...delicious !!! 8. Medical Crew - Nuclear Holocaust (God Will Not Help Us Mix) The crazy project Medical Crew. DJ Death, DJ KillerKick & Robocop always suprise me with something more genious...they have no rules and now they join DD to this game. Brilliant track with unexpected elements and suprises which come from no where...thats what I call enjoyable full on because you never know what will come now and jump automaticlly. 9. Toilet Master - Bathroom Vibes (Secrets Behind The Door) Now, after all the bombs, it's time to give some relax to the legs and for this target Toilet Master intended for. I very like his music because it is not regular full on style with purpose to "kill" in the dance floor - it's music with brain and wisdom. His music won't make you dance like crazy but still you won't stop to dance becasue it so fun to move when this tune on background...great work man. 10. Dark Noise Trauma - Run Bunny Run And now it's time to the dessert...and this why Dark Noise Trauma guys came for. Amazing, brilliant, magical, excellent or whatever you want to describe it...I'm speechless so much groove, so much talent...I'm ask fromm all the full on projects to excuse me but this is the best tune in this compilation without a doubt ! please people get this compilation, if not for the full on tracks, so for this one...AMAZING !!!!!!! The last two tracks live me breatheless so I shall finish here and jerk off for a while. Thanks DJ MegaRaver for a delicous end for this comp. http://www.chaosunlimited.co.uk http://www.suckmydiscotheque.co.uk ps. 100 Shiva bows to my inspiration: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/...c/75216/forum/9

All taken from Deedrah's web site: Here are the news: First of all, sorry I haven't been giving news for so long. We have been in the studio working most of the time or touring around, but there is a new Deedrah web site coming, with more content, interactivity and all so stay tuned! As for some update , we have now 4 track running with Christof, we know it's too long to come but we want to make it so good.Actually it took us some time to find the proper flow but I think now we are fully tuned and it should be coming faster. Unfortunatly Absolum is very busy and I am too and it's very hard to find free studio dates. Nevertherless little by little the fourth album takes shape and you know what? I like what's coming out of the studio, I hope you will! GBU (The Goog The Bad & The Ugly) album: Waoh! We have 9 or 10 tracks now, we keep on playing them live and it's kicking. It's going to take us a bit more work to fine tune everything untill we reach mastering stage for a release date in early 2006. I'll post mp3s as soon as I can but be aware that we are going to launch a GBU web site just for GBU fans! Frederico Baltimore: well Freddy B.'s opus is nearly done too! The album is called "Belleza!" and it's s a mix of jazz and hiphop with probably guest singer Michelle Adamson on some tunes and a few covers and remix works, like a trippy version of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" or Eric Satie's "Gymnopedie" for example. This is my own very personal and intimate project so I have no release date to give by now, though the album counts 11 tracks this day. DSD: We (Dino, Shanti and I) are starting a new project. We have only 3 tracks done at the momment but this is gonna rock some dance floors, that's for sure! http://www.deedrah.com

Idea FX Horns & Hoofs Entertainment, 2005 1. Epi Centrum - Noise Exodus (Kino Oko Rmx) 2. Kali Frogz - Wotau 3. Fuzzion - E=MC2 (Epi Centrum Rmx) 4. Weird Walker - Layer-1 5. Fuzzion - Launcher 6. 3 Lay Airs - B.M.W. (Benicassim-Moscow-Warsaw) 7. Metalogic - Forcefield 8. Bigwigs - Vibraphone (Fuzzion 2005 Rmx) 9. Worm Food - The Shakes 10. Epi Centrum - Drapacz Chmur 11. Mass Turbo - Archival 12. Triple Distilled - Expertiza (Epi Centrum Rmx) The Moscow-based label Horns & Hoofs Entertainment serves music, which could be easily described as a fusion of techno and psytrance, with the evident emphasis put on the former. While one can get lost while one can get lost while counting full on labels, we have only few tech-labels. "Idea FX" is the fourth release of H&H. The content of this CD was carefully selected by Epi Centrum, who is Jerzy Przeździecki a.k.a. Praecox. Jerzy, also known from the Bigwigs fame, is an A&R in H&H, which allowed him to have a certain artistic freedom. The mentioned compilation is a cunning collection of hard (but not entirely) technoish tunes, which can surprise with their original form. Among the presented artist rooster we have of course the flag musicians of the label, like Fuzzion, Weird Walker and Metalogic. The unquestioned leader of this V.A. is of course Jerzy, who appears here not only as Epi Centrum, but also as 3 Lay Airs and Mass Turbo. There was also a place for mr Kino Oko and the Bigwigs lodge on the experimental branch. We start our fore game with a remix of Jerzy's track made by Grzegorz "Magnes" Magnuszewski, who is going to release his debut album as Kino Oko. The track creates passionately an overwhelming atmosphere, we hear a lot of sonic trickery in Kino Oko style. It's not bad, but definitely it could better. I wonder how the original track sounds. Two Frenchmen from Kali Frogz continue the trend set by their preceeder, injecting the thick as tar "Wotau" into our ears. Dirty techno all the way, instantly bringing shivers down the spine. I'm impressed. Fuzzion, one of the label's old-timers, presents his tribute to one of the greatest minds of all times in a remix of this compilation's main man. From the beginning one can hear that there is no place for clichés concerning Shiva, space and drugs. Low humming bass and synthetic elements lead us in a 137 tempo. The presence of Jerzy is very obvious, when we consider f.e. the jazz-esque parts. Number four is a track one should label with a sign saying: "Warning, this motherfucker bites". Weird Walker brings good old memories of the times with Bigwigs and Praecox, invading our ears with a rolling piece of an industrial bastard. It is a pity though that the track lacks some proper intro and thus the whole thing seems to be too insistent. However, all the throbbing and sizzling sounds in a familiar manner made me like it. Definitely another gem on this CD. An aggressive and massive technoish behemoth with signs of electro, meaning the track by Vladimir Kozlov (Fuzzion) named "Launcher", gives us some real ass-whooping. I think it is a perfect dancefloor option. Let it lose on a suitable soundsystem and this track may be the cause of a real tectonic concussion. 3 Lay Airs is a three-person-combo: Alex Tolstey (the head of Boshke Beats), Peter Serkin (Weird Walker) and the guy responsible for this whole mess. "B.M.W." was created in three separate studios, after which the final fusion of three layers took place in Jerzy's studio. Again we miss a sort of intro, but the composition, dynamics, hypnotizing though a bit stuffy atmosphere and a variety of electronic, raw sonic trickery compensate for this. As a whole it does not fail. Nr seven crafted by a guy from Toronto (mr Frederick Hatsav) is rather neat. The dreamy intro embodied by spacious pads brings, to a certain extent, a reminiscent of The Delta or the "Irritant" album by X-Dream. Next we have Bigwigs, who marked themselves as one of the most active projects from Poland. "Vibrafon" is among their most prominent tracks. Here it was subjected to a make-over by Fuzzion, who dressed the track in a very cold vibe and frustrated moments, although left enough hints to the original, so that everyone could follow the tune without any confusion. I must admit that I had a bigger penchant for the source track. "The Shakes", track with number 9, is, in my opinion, a crossover between the effects of a hangover and a soundtrack to another masterpiece by David Lynch. On the one hand intriguing, on the other irritating. On the whole I did not like it much, and seeing the rest of the names on the cover I am more eager to press the switch. "Drapacz Chmur" is another musical child of Przeździecki on this piece of plastic. We've got a full chill Bill here. A lazy and sloppy bass merges with original fx, creating an intense atmosphere, which consistently influences our imagination. It is psychedelic? It sure is! Flawlessly blending sadness and joy of life, it is one of the strongest highlights on this CD. As we can see from the tracklist, Jerzy does give away the steering wheel easily and thus we have another track of his, this time in the guise of Mass Turbo (gotta luv those names). Unfortunately "Archival" does not stand the competition with the feelings left after the previous track. We end with a remix of Tripple Distilled, a project of Alex Tolstey. This is the slowest tune on this disc (115 BPM). A fine track, although the bests parts of the compilation are already behind me. From my point of view it is really nice to see a compilation released outside Poland, where half of the tracks are Polish accents, not to mention the compiler. After hearing the CD one can notice, that Epi Centrum was not looking for adventures with generic music, but focused on more experimental and daring approaches. Although the climate here is not that of a dramatic opera, many of the tracks presented here, especially few of them, are really strong material. The whole CD may seem to be a bit too much for an average listener, but it is not mild gutless stuff for sure. I recommend this compilation to people who like to hale their ears widely open. The connoisseurs of psycho-electronics will feel at home. After all, life is really boring without such music. On the foot note, I am really eager to hear Kino Oko's and Epi Centrum's upcoming albums. Grzegorz started to make music more then a decade ago. Psychedelic rock from 60’s-70’s and contemporary electronic music of all kinds had been a huge influence on Kino Oko’s creations. Avoiding vulgarity while composing and spreading the originally exciting sounds based on harmonic arrangement manipulations, brings us the unique musical mood and showing to the listener the difference by the variety of each single Kino Oko’s track. His music contains many detailed elements based on emotions and resulting each composition to be a separate deep touching story spiced by psychedelic mental funk’n’blues that dance-floors simply cant resist. “Lost Entertainment” - is a title of Grzegorz’s debut album as KINO OKO. After few successful single-track appearances on various compilations, he finally decides to release his full-length work based on selected studio recordings that Grzegorz produced during the period of last year and half. The result is a variety of different and unique to each other tracks that’s perfectly fitting together and representing the artist in his whole colorful spectrum of talents. A mix of extremely danceable rhythms and constructions with beautiful listenable melodies, motives and atmospheres, spiced by deep and engaging sound, abstract arrangements and top quality production- that’s are characteristic features of this album. The album that is made to express and show people what is the real trance and real musical entertainment is. ”Lost Entertainment” is going to make its strong entry in the history of psychedelic trance and we highly suggest you to be there in time by putting your ears on this masterpiece by grabbing a copy on your first opportunity. http://www.kinooko.prv.pl/ Goooooo Grzegorz!

Is it true? When I was at Fullmoon Festival '05 in Germany I've bought some CD's at Spirit Zone's shop. The price of one CD was 6 Euro, while 4 CD's were avaiable for the price of 20 Euro. I was more than happy to see such a discount (I've bought myself f.e. some old Space Tribe albums, "Noosphere - Aqua", "Shiva Chandra - Subsonic", "Element - Full Moon" etc.), when the guy who sold the CD's told me that "the label is closing down". At first I didn't believe that and forgot all about it, enjoying my shoping spree. After I came back home from the festival I started to think whether the guy was right all along... After all many artists who were the primary rooster of Spirit Zone are long gone from their mother-label. Space Tribe has his own label called Space Tribe Music, the new Electric Universe album is said to be released somewhere else than S.Z. and another S.Z. old-timer (Shiva Chandra) is releasing his album called "Change Of Air" on Sinn Tec Records. What is more, I've heard a rumour that Antaro is not interested in the label anymore. Last but not least, I've checked the label's website www.spiritzone.de and it's not working. Can someone confirm or deny my "what if's"? Blue Room Released, Flying Rhino, Matsuri Productions, Transient Records... All of them being great and legendary labels... Are we seeing another one biting the dust?
