Jurek Przezdziecki - Sink Master Boshke Beats Records, 2008 1. Sink Master (Original Version) 2. Miasto Masa Maszyna 3. Sink Master (Robert Babicz Data Dance Re-Work) The "Sink Master" single is yet another electronic shot from Jerzy Przeździecki, also known for his participation in Bigwigs and Epi Centrum. The first track, titled "Sink Master", ideally fits the mood of Boshke Beats Records productions. During the entire piece we are tightly surrounded by a web of suggestive hypnosis, reminding us of heavier and darker moments of the Praecox project's music. This track can easily pull us down into a conscious trance, hence it is the ideal pretext to spend a little more time near the speakers at a party and let yourself get taken over by this intense wall of music. Next comes a futurist postulate, the famous 3xM, "Miasto Masa Maszyna" ("City Mass Machine"). On the one hand we have got a piece that can be described as your average bore, but that is only what it seems like, since on the other hand, we get an intense and suggestive world created with a minimal amount of sounds. The third track on this album is a remix of the first one by Robert Babicz. I did not really like it compared to the original, mainly due to its "anorexic" personality and definite loss of power. Once again Jurek has shown us he is plowing forward with his vision of music. Fans of sparing techno and minimalism will definitely be in seventh heaven. I will not conceal the fact that I prefer music produced under the Praecox / Epi Centrum logo (take for instance the amazing "Epi Centrum" from the "Five Tons Of Flax" compilation) or the Bigwigs logo, but the "Sink Master" track is really captivating and possesses a lot of potential, especially for DJs. The surgically cold atmosphere, amazing power and mechanical sounds are irreplaceable. www.psyshop.com/shop/Vinyls/bbs/bbs1ep015.html

Hallucinogen In Dub - Live From Brixton Twisted Records, 2008 1. LSD 2. Spiritual Antiseptic 3. Cicada 4. Solstice 5. HiD 6. Dark Persuasion 7. Angelic Particles 8. Rent Boy 9. Gamma Goblins Info: In May 2007, Twisted LIVE in Concert gave us the opportunity to record a unique LIVE set from Hallucinogen in DUB. Featuring Ott, Simon Posford, Youth, Jackson & David Nock, it's a beautiful acoustic performance of the classics you know and love under a new arrangement from the live performance. A solid hour of heavy grooves and upbeat psychedelic sofa monsters that features several new tracks. This release will bring the energy of the event into your living room and the excitement felt by thousands as they watched these seasoned professionals firing out their electro-acoustic meanderings. Double Trouble No Comments Records, 2008 1. Multi Evil - Resurrection 2. LAB - Post Apocalyptic 3. Necropsycho - Ritual Of Shiva 4. CPC - Lizard Metanoya 5. Multi Evil - Brains Only 6. LAB - The Menger Sponge 7. Necropsycho - Tortured Souls 8. CPC - Begin 9. Gobit vs Cube - Neuroleptik 10. Dynamid vs Xolay Ax - X-Ray Cat www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ncr/ncr1cd001.html After the fully digital and debut compilation "No Comment vol. 1", it's time for "Double Trouble", the second position on the Warsaw publisher No Comment Record's catalogue, this time on CD. The cover, which presents an inhabitant of a stuffy crypt, exhausted with life and with a tendency for using facial masks made of corrosive substances, suggests we won't be dealing with sweet full-on, distinguished progressive trance or bedroom chillout. What it does suggest is a dive into the deep end of a dark and full-power pool, and, as the title suggests, a doubled dangerous mix of Multi Evil, LAB, Necrophsycho and CPC, crowned with two tracks of the "versus" type created by two duos, Ator Project (Gobit and Cube from Warsaw) and Psy Cut Fingers (Dynamid and Xolay Ax from Gdynia). The person responsible for the first track on the compilation is usually faced with a difficult task. They have to attract the listener's attention and convince them not to turn off the CD, which would have negative consequences for later tracks still waiting for their turn to be enjoyed. Multi Evil stood up to the task and bet on gradual development of the mood by facing the listener with a climatic and fantastic intro that lasts over 2 minutes and throws us into the world of films about Dr. Frankenstein's monster. Finally comes "Ressurection" which, after a proper dose of voltage, gallops through murky forests full of wolves and lost souls. Since the CD was well accepted by the system we can keep going. "Post Apocalyptic" is a more cybernetic, raw highway to nowhere on which you put the pedal to the metal and don't let go. I think it's one of the better tracks on the CD, mainly because it's always proving its powerful atmosphere, drilling holes in your head and then throws a massive tornado at you in the end. "Ritual Of Shiva" wasn't my favourite, mostly because of the contrast with the previous tracks. I was however surprised by a CPC track called "Lizard Metanoya". It's a multi-plot ballad with a slightly fairytale atmosphere and a dash of funk. Who knows, this might be what Slinky Wizard's music would have sounded like today if the project had been continued. Then Multi Evil comes back on stage and gives the listener "Brains Only". Unfortunately this tune won't blow you away like the one that opened the album and with time even gets boring. "The Menger Sponge" and "Tortured Souls" from LAB and Necropsycho are advanced therapy using rapid beats and invasive drills to whip the audience. Respite and surprise is brought by Radostavin Vlad. At a rate of 120 BPM, the mysterious "Begin" enhances the CPC project and proves that darkness has many faces. The following track, "Neuroleptik", is characterized by a heavier performance and a return to the fast lane. Gobit and Cube present a standardized but quite clever piece submerged in toxic fumes and spiced up with gastric sounds. Along with the last number by the Psy Cut Fingers (Dynamid and Xolay Ax) duo, the statement that this type of album is always closed by a calmer track can safely be sorted away with fairytales. "X-Ray Cat" attacks us from the speakers like Hux Flux productions on amphetamine. Image visiting the inside of a computer with your eyes closed at a speed of 150 BPM. Got it? That's "X-Ray Cat" for ya. "Double Trouble"? Definitely double trouble for next-door neighbours and people who aren't used to this type of music. Furthermore, the CD is a real treat for lovers of the genres mentioned in the intro. Before playing the CD we don't really need to worry about bleeding ears, though tracks like "Ritual Of Shiva" or "The Menger Sponge" faintly smack of annoying power drills. Compared to the tons of other albums of a similar style, there are fortunately subtle differences which cause "Double Trouble" to be perceived a bit differently. Both CPC tracks are a perfect example, one charming us with its ingenuity and multi-plot, the other set at a speed differing from the rest of the numbers on the album, allowing for the exploration of completely different grounds and moods. Other pluses would be the cool intro track as well as the unbeatable powerhouses that are "Post Apocalyptic" and "X-Ray Cat". Either way, a solid dose of skull pounding on a decent level is guaranteed. www.psytrance.pl Additional links: www.nocomment-records.com www.myspace.com/nocommentrecords

NEW Astral Projection album droppin..
Templar replied to n0 fingerprintz's topic in General Psytrance
Back on topic: Is this the version of "Mahadeva" you were talking about, Pavel? clicky -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdbqXVCjKTc ps. some new version of "Aurora Borealis": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o083k5YBi9s + some new-heard-before stuff -
An extract taken from the official site of Suntrip Records: "If we're taking a look at other outsider labels, we can see Twisted is getting OTT's Skylon released and Dragonfly has some great stuff in progress too... (hush). Else, no doubt there will be an avalanche of releases with some very creative releases." Some veeeery old info from Dragonfly's website states: "THERE ARE 3 OTHER ALBUM PROJECTS IN THE PIPELINE, WHICH WE WILL TELL YOU ABOUT SOON" As we all know our dear old Dragonfly Records has been in hibernation for some time now, not to mention their chillout output popping out under the LSD guise. There have also been some speculations here and there about their demise. Is is possible to shed some light on the case? Share some vital info. I'm not the kind of a person who accepts all this "hush" business.

Sundial Aeon - Apotheosis Flow Records, 2007 1. Sacred Plants 2. Iced-Melancholy Spectacle 3. Pleasure Impact 4. Hybrydisy 5. Mysanthia (Chaser Remix) 6. Snail's Home 7. Love Shelter 8. Freestar's Trip In Aerospace 9. Together, We Are... (Remix) 10. Dark Breaker 11. Hydroponics http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/flr/flr1cd722.html Much time has passed since Sundial's "Metabasis" album was released. In the meantime "Aeon" was added to the group's name, the project was left by Jarosław "Giku" Jacek, Vladislav Isaev joined, and another long-playing album sporting the sunny name was brought to life. Once again the Portuguese label Flow Records, responsible for "Sundial - Metabasis" and "Aural Planet - Acoustic Plantation Releases", is the producer of this CD. Apart from "Sacred Plants" (present on an earlier compilation called “Downbeat Liquid” (Chillcode Music, 2006)) and "Together, We Are… (Remix) " (part of the "Fahrenheit Project", the sixth part of the flag series by Ultimae Records), all the tracks on this album have never been published before. Apart from the basic members of the group, we have got guest performances as well. For example, in "Iced-Melancholy Spectacle" we are charmed by Iwona Malczewska's discreetly applied vocals, and in "Love Shelter" we get the chance to hear Kinga Nyga. Additionally we can find two remixes, the first one a remix of "Mysanthia" by Chaser (Tomasz Gierykowski), the second a remix of one of Sundial Aeon's better known pieces called "Together, We Are…". Sounds interesting? It is interesting. The album begins with the gracefully named "Sacret Plants", starting slowly, easily pushing us towards a melodious adventure. "Iced-Melancholy Spectacle", assisted by soft beats, crystal cascades of slightly acid tones and an angelic atmosphere floods us with warmth and happiness. "Pleasure Impact" is a slightly more toned-down, less "concert"-ish track, but still presents what is best in Sundial Aeon's music. A quick tranquilizer called "Hybrydisy" takes the listener to new levels. The colourful "Mysanthia" remix plunges us into a dream-like world. The sixth track, "Snail's Home", is an optimistic story about a laid back snail on a carefree walk around the forest on a beautiful summer day. Lucky seven, "Love Shelter", is an example of Kinga Nysa's vocal abilities. Her pleasant voice accompanies us during this slightly hypnotizing piece. "Freestar's Trip In Aerospace" is a less euphoric track, though it still retains the proper dose of optimism and electronic paradise melodies. One of the brightest points of this album is of course the "Together, We Are… (Remix)", easily catering to our chillout dance needs. "Dark Breaker" at moments intensifies previously duplicated patents, in the meantime informing us that we are getting close to the end of the album. So it is with "Hydroponics" that we make our way from a world bathed in sunlight into a slightly gloomy valley. It is at the point that we wonder if we should get back to that sunny, melodic surface. The choice is pretty obvious. After experiencing this group's debut album I wondered what the second one would be like. Would they go through a dip in their performance like so many others before them? After getting my hands on a copy of "Apotheosis" and giving it a few spins on my player I can safely say: "thankfully not". I have to hand it to the creators of Sundial Aeon - they do not create intellectual mazes out of simple things, but on the other hand they do not suffer from banality. The properly balanced atmosphere of all the tracks does not overstep the boundaries of bland electronic sweetness. We get to experience compositions full of optimism, melody, some sweet moments ever so often, often hypnotizing, sporting an elegant beat and all types of vocals. This kind of music will surely liven up both day and night. www.psytrance.pl Additional links: www.sundial.pl www.myspace.com/sundialaeon

Bigwigs - The National Heroes Of Sonic Parallel Horns & Hoofs Entertainment, 2007 1. Córki Lota II 2. Pars Pro Toto 3. Sound Anonim 4. Sumiaste Nagrania 5. Snack La Vista 6. Tesla Oxymoron 7. Scarlet's Dawning 8. Sheer Dying Leasure 9. Tour The Trance 10. Mania Magma Lena www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hah/hah1cd007.html The sky was never blue The stars are raindrops searching And I never cared for you. "Willie Nelson - I Never Cared" A strange musical composition called Bigwigs came into the world in 1999 AD. It was brought to life by three friends: Tomasz Roehr a.k.a. DJ Dreddy and Grzegorz "Magnes" Magnuszewski a.k.a. Kino Oko, the Tromesa duo, and Jerzy Przeździecki, known until recently as Praecox, now as Epi Centrum. Over the years, these guys have been issuing new numbers with increasingly strange, although not devoid of sense titles, drinking vodka at parties all over the world and creating a longplay masterpiece called "Fraktalik Fraterniti". Since then a few things have changed in the Bigwigs family. A rumour about a second album circled the world, in time the title, originally "The National Heroes Of Sonic Pasmanteria", changed, and the trio became a duo, saying goodbye to Dreddy. Tomek did however appear in two tracks featured on the CD, mainly "Sound Anonim" and "Sumiaste Nagrania". The new album appeared thanks to Horns & Hoofs Entertainment, a label that previously relased many productions of Kino Oko and Epi Centrum, including the former's debut album. Already at first glance at the track list we notice the name "Córki Lota II". In a way this is a historically important production, as "Córki Lota" is the first Bigwigs number in the history of this Warsaw group. You will have to admit writing about this music is like talking about colours. What is important is that the serious approach to the process of creating music and the high quality technical polishing mix again with a bit of childishness and a carefree atmosphere present in various tracks. There is time for contemplation and joy. Each track is different. Not even for a moment do we feel we are listening to the same track, just with a different name. And thank Shiva. The music presented on this CD frequently portrays an atmosphere we have already experienced on the "Kino Oko - Lost Entertainment" album. Bigwigs also retained their style of throwing a joke into their titles, since apart from familiar words we can find 2, 3 or even 4 hidden meanings. Among my personal favorites are the sequel to "Córki Lota" and its powerful bass, the delightful and baroque "Pars Pro Toto", the light and fluffy "Scarlet's Dawning" and especially the melancholy "Sheer Dying Leasure". Of course I can not forget to mention the genius graphic design of the album cover, an integral part of this production, which also deserves a few warm words. I have to admit it is one of the best covers I have ever seen. It attracts the viewer's attention, it is original, calls to mind a variety of associations and it is hard to forget. Basic marketing rules - check. Ms. Inga Burina, the person responsible for the many Horns & Hoofs covers, along with the guys from Bigwigs have done a great job. The Middle Ages, theatre, Rubens/Gay erotica and the forbidden faces of our heroes - you will find it all. Not to mention the fact that placing one's own face on the cover with a positive result is quite a daring feat on the trance scene. Take for instance the extravagance that is the Hypersonic album, an ideal backdrop for the "Blue Oyster" bar from the "Police Academy" movie series, or the menacing face of Skazi, gloomy Talamasca and many others, led by the head of TIP World in his underwear or with a plastic guitar. Do you remember the "Most Wanted Presents: Raja Ram - The God Father" or the "Raja Ram's Stash Bag 4" compilations? Yeah… The world is changing and the Bigwigs along with it. "The National Heroes Of Sonic Parallel" is a mature album that should survive the test of time similarly to its predecessor "Fraktalik Fraterniti". Who among us does not turn once in a while to stuff like "Papa Gejos", humming its merry theme to ourselves? This is not a difficult CD to listen to. It is different. Different from what is served to us en masse at Psyshop. It is full of music and stories, something many people calling themselves "artists" or "musicians" forget about when spawning more and more plastic mashups of sounds, losing the spirit and intention somewhere along the way. Bigwigs did not fancy up their specific character with hip, repetitive gimmicks. Being aware of he consequences they produced what they wanted to without the ever-present compulsion of being trendy. Possibly (hopefully not) the album will get lost in the rush of other productions, but it will surely take a place in the awareness of many fans continuously searching for something interesting. Something with loads of Polish tongue-in-cheek, a specific atmosphere and sonic pizzazz. www.psytrance.pl Additional links: www.bigwigs.prv.pl www.myspace.com/bigwigs3 www.hornsandhoofs.com www.myspace.com/hornsandhoofs

ManMadeMan - Free To Listen Sound Intension, 2007 1. Stop Watch 2. Let Yourself In 3. Wow Wow 4. Field Trip 5. The Path 6. Alien Psychic 7. Information Overload 8. We Are Not Alone 9. Airtime ManMadeMan is a British duo comprised of Paul Baguley and Sonya Bailey, two veterans of the psytrance scene. I must admit I did not really follow the events linked with this project, but I have many pleasant memories connected with tracks that showed up here and there on various compilations. ManMadeMan productions created with other artists were not too bad either. After 4 full albums, the last of which was a collection of ManMadeMan's tracks put through a remix filter of such celebrities as Silicon Sound, Tristan, Hallucinogen or Eat Static, it's time for a fifth, quite specific one. Specific because this time, Paul and Sonya smiled at their fans, giving them a free album you can download from the Internet, more specifically from the duo's website, their Myspace page and from Ektoplazm.com. The musicians have shown more raw, dirtier sounds, different from the polite, plastic sounds you can come across when listening to psytrance. We start with an innocent intro called "Stop watch", and then move over to "Let yourself In", ideal for the first phaze of a trance party. Mutated progressive, "Wow Wow", continues what the previous track started, but in a stronger and more decided manner. "Field Trip" is a lazy track spiked with a great groove, and "The Path", the following track, causes shy associations with older productions of Praecox, or Bigwigs' early repertoire. "Alien Psychic" is a muscled trance weight-lifter, who might not blow you away with his performance, but has his grace nevertheless. "Information Overload" is the real Dirty Harry of this album. Corroded and creaky, from the very beginning it treats us with a broken percussion and a completely warped atmosphere. "We Are Not Alone" is possibly the most trancing of all the tracks. It's also the fastest of them all. Alive and well thought-out, it will cause wonders on the dancefloor if it's played on a good sound system at the right moment of a party. Paraphrasing the world of politics, you can tell a real album not by how it begins, but by how it ends. The last track, "Airtime", is a heavenly chillout piece nobody who enjoys a bit of peace and quiet will be ashamed of. Although "Free To Listen" might not be easy to accept at first, it pulls the listener more and more with each replay, bewitching him with its elegance designed for the occasion. This package from the Brits surprises us with its amusing rhythm, tarnished form and minimalist but rich and creative orchestrations, along with a smuggled in note of humor, though it may not be too obvious. Even if somebody does not enjoy the album, no loss - we got it all for free. www.psytrance.pl Links: www.manmademan.com www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/manmademan-free-to-listen/ www.myspace.com/manmademanthelegend

The track that was put on top of the original ("Christian's dancing" - you can see it in the list on Youtube, taken probably from some Polish catholic programme) is "Tufaan - Probe" (?).

Ott - Skylon Twisted Records, 2007 1. From Trunch To Stromness 2. The Queen Of All Everything 3. Rogue Bagel 4. Daisies And Rubies 5. Signals From Bob 6. 382 Seaside 7. Rolfcopter 8. A Shower Of Sparks Info: After 5 years of hiding in the west-country since his last album, musical oddity Ott gives Twisted Records his second solo offering under the name ‘Skylon’. In the last 5 years, the improvements in software and hardware have given maestro’s like Ott even more scope to toy with and more quality in the results. A fresh bag of tricks you might say! You can expect unique modern electro-acoustic dubs with generous spatterings of indigenous sounds from around the world ladled into the mix. But that’s not all, there are a few tracks straying beautifully into different genres whilst maintaining the laid back but up beat dub vibe that we know and love. Add that to the usual mind-blowing production, arrangement, song writing skills and jaw-dropping effects combos and you’ve got a sonic feast emanating from your speakers. His use of melody is perfectly balanced between too much and too little, creating a saturated but not overwhelming wall of emotive sound. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, the man is a genius. Ott is no stranger to the studio, he has produced, arranged and recorded for world famous artists including Sinead O'Connor, The Orb, and Brian Eno. Working in a wide range of the best studios in the UK from Butterfly Studios, SARM East and West, Real World, and Ridge Farm to Foel in Wales. He has been interviewed in the producers/engineers bible Sound on Sound for his studio wits and wisdoms. Highly regarded by music moguls such as Greg Hunter, Simon Posford, Martin ‘Youth’ Glover and many more, this second album from him will merely reinforce his status as a leader in art of modern music. His debut album Blumenkraft was a huge success and spawned a massive following amongst listeners and producers alike. Skylon will undoubtedly gather more fans worldwide Artwork and Design by Matei Apostolescu Link: http://www.twisted.co.uk

I can't believe you people are actually discussing the shadows on the YB cover. It's like discussing on why the face on the Shpongle covers has more than one pair of eyes. Well duuuuh... we're talking about people behind psychedelic projects. Anyhow, good eye, it didn't attract my attention... Regarding the content of the new CD, after hearing YB live two times last year I can personally assure everyone that it's quality MUSIC. Most of the tracks from those gigs were new and astonishing, full of fun and ideas, very danceable too (mind you - it's more downtempo-ish).

Sundial - Metabasis Flow Records, 2006 1. Together, We Are... 2. Sunfruits Avenue 3. Mystical Weather 4. Seafloor 5. Morphia 6. Azure Aquarings 7. Utopia For Whispering 8. Dellphine 9. Ra 10. Azure Aquarings (Sundial Remix) 11. Just A State 12. Pixelized The publisher of this album is the Portuguese company Flow Records which in 2004 released an album called "Aural Planet - Acoustic Plantation Releases", initiating a series of chillout compilations known as "Chilling Cuts". "Metabasis" is a continuation of this series, not only in terms of name but the music it contains. It is also the fruit of the labour of people who gained their experience through participation in other projects: Itoa, Hoyden Space and Aural Planet. The first studio album of the Sundial project confirms the power of the Polish saying "it's good because it’s Polish" ("dobre bo polskie"). Some of the creators of electronic downtempo (and not only) landscapes, mainly Raiden (Aural Planet) and his team lead us in the direction of a land dominated by peace. The album contains a few tracks that have already appeared on a few chillout compilations, but this in no way negatively affects the album, especially if we take into account their rendition. As far as the other compositions are concerned, there are no unnecessary oddities, yet each track is able to interest the listener with its story. The first track already informs us that we are dealing with a professional production. This does not change later on. The following tracks easily transport us into a dimension of absolute bliss, often causing waves of warmth around the heart. Twelve compositions like the twelve apostles (but without any Judas) bring us the chillout news. Of course a few more energetic productions are also present, like "Azure Aquarings" (a remix is also on the CD) whose apparently lazy dynamics can still compel us to get up and dance, whether at a party or alone. Speaking of parties, the tracks on this CD can serve as an introduction to a trance main course and should definitely find their way into the CD cases of people organizing chillout rooms / stages. When it comes to personal experiences, the entire album contains an irrational, mysterious element which compels us to listen again and discover the things we did not notice the first time. Jumping to other tracks, "Together, We Are…" is a soundtrack for a melancholy walk in the park with a loved one, surrounded by falling leaves. "Sunfruits Avenue" is a walk in a garden full of juicy fruits bathed in the colours of spring and summer. "Mystical Weather" is like observing a frozen lake and forests covered in white snow. "Seafloor" is a lonely journey on the sea in a boat with crystal cities wavering in the background. "Morphia" shows us caterpillars, eating up our gardens until now, currently changing into rainbow butterflies. "Utopia For Whispering" intensifies the green of trees and the sounds of nature in a nearby park and "Dellphine" makes us think of a sofa on the beach, watching the rising sun and hearing the quiet lapping of waves against the shore. “Ra” is a meeting with a long lost friend. "Just A State" is breaking away from the prose of the city and visiting the countryside, where life has a completely different tempo. "Pixelized" is like waking from a deep sleep. Or maybe we are really falling asleep? Everyday life shows that we all need a breath of fresh air. "Metabasis" will cater to the whims of everyone who enjoys chillout moods or just needs a moment to relax. Lovers of Aural Planet type moods should feel at home. "Metabasis" contains many references to previous achievements of these artists is the field of calmer electronics, but at the same time brings many new things, showing how you can create interesting and well thought-out material. This album is a professional Polish production that you can listen to at home on a comfy couch or outdoors on a field. Good headphones, a nice atmosphere and a loved one might prove to be indispensable. Trip To Dreamland Alien Community, 2006 1. Chatnik - 7 Days Left 2. Artha - Genetic Formula 3. Mindcrawlers - Firebloom 4. Swan X-1 - Matchu Pitchu 5. Tellurium - Atheist 6. Lost Buddha - In Love With A Goddess 7. Phazur - Detonation Device 8. Cybernetika - Architect Of The Universe 9. Tears - Gateway 10. Project 83 - Vision Internet publications and publishing in digital format are becoming more and more popular. One such label is Alien Community which has released a compilation called "Trip To Dreamland". Basilisk (Ektoplazm) was kind enough to host it so the entire album can be downloaded for free at http://www.ektoplazm.com. A certain DJ named G.A.F. is responsible for this compilation. I am assuming that, just like me, you will not be familiar with anybody other than Artha and Lost Buddha. At first I was skeptic, but I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that the album contains many patents known to us from the golden times of goa trance. "7 Days Left" is a very good introduction leading to a piece by Artha (Michał Bączek). Artha is definitely someone who, due to his professional productions, deserves wider acknowledgement. "Genetic Formula" is a track dripping with psychedelic sounds like a stack of Canadian pancakes with maple syrup, and the end is a reminiscence of his older productions. Another professional production, this time coming straight from Mindcrawlers, reminds us why we miss older Shakta pieces. The fourth track, "Machu Pitchu", is pleasantly constructed oldschool psytrance. The return to good old days is made longer by the calm and adequately acidy Tellurium. We already know Lost Budda (Filipe Santos) from the "Apsara" compilation released by Suntrip Records, the reanimators of goa. For this compilation he prepared "In Love With A Goddess" which serves a condensed shot of good energy. Phazur enters slightly darker regions and chills us to the bone, evidently differing from the rest of the tracks on this album. Cybernetika is an ideal piece for parties in the outdoors. You know, a juicy green clearing, bright blue sky, a yellow sun and feet rhythmically stomping the ground. Do not expect anything exceptional from Tears' "Gateway". Frankly, it gets quite boring. The last track, "Vision", communicates to the world that we have reached the end of our trip. This piece is a mix of nice downtempo, a feminine presence in the form of light vocals and piano. "Trip To Dreamland" is mainly a collection of decent creations. Is there anything revolutionary in it? No. Good. Let's leave the revolution to others and enjoy a simple yet distinct whole such as this one. Though some of the tracks smack of triviality, it is not relevant. What is important is to turn up the volume and ruin your shoes while dancing to this trance tornado, or to close your eyes, relax and remember the times when we excitedly held a compilation like "Distance To Goa" and "Goa Head" in our hands. http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/trip-to-dreamland/

Theory Of Madness Dark Life Records, 2005 1. Barracuda - Jump Station 2. Tracer - Criogenic Chambers 3. Remote Access - Find Your Self 4. Artha - Virus 5. Sungirl - You Are Don't Stop It (org. ver.) 6. Terminator - Two Lions 7. Fobie - Predator 8. Manga - Dancefloor In Hell (Sungirl rmx) 9. Parrket - Silent Void "Transelected" & "DJ Choice" compilations, Tromesa and Aural Planet albums... The pantheon of psy-releases from Poland is joined by "Theory Of Madness", which presents a slightly heavier and darker variant of the psychedelic trance chosen by the Warsaw-based music label. The expectations for this album were quite high. It was a birth with many complications, but finally Dark Life Records' debut pregnancy was carried to full term. The effect? A Polish-Russian-Croatian cocktail. A nice and climatic cover design (good work) with autumn colours and elements of paranoia covers a CD consisting of nine unpublished tracks, five of which belong to Polish artists. First on the list is a Barracuda duet, giving us a hypnotizing track with a thrill. A very good start to the album. Right after "Jump Station" we have got Tracer, head of the Uridium collective from Poznań. The track starts with a monologue by an actor well known to cinema lovers (Vin Diesel) after which, using relatively easy moves, we are treated to a sound story about cryogenic chambers. It is a pretty good piece, though I lack some extra sonic spices which would make the track even more interesting. The Polish wave is continued by Remote Access, who throws a real bomb at us. "Find Your Self" is a really good, energetic piece that can easily liven up any set. The fourth track belongs to my secret favourite Artha, a musician from Malbork, well known for his attraction to Goa. This time he has created a bouncy track with frequent acid sequences bringing to mind none other than Cosmosis - such a comparison can only be good news for this piece. "Virus"? Let yourself get infected! Once this piece ends a more aggressive mood picks up on the album since the following tracks (not counting number seven) belong to foreign artists. "You Are Don't Stop It" (linguists will probably shrug at this one) is nothing other than a fat, slightly schematic dancefloor moloch. In the end it is pretty difficult to patch up the holes this thing drills in your head. Zolod (ex-Parasense) is responsible for the Terminator project, adding to it a touch of… leftovers from the well-known Parasense sound. It is surely not something you have not heard before dozens of times, though on the other hand this musical deja-vu will find fans. Fobie continues the Russian music theme started by Sungirl, though it should be mentioned that the project behind "Predator" is quite… Polish (we have had Poznań, Bydgoszcz and Malbork, now time for Warsaw). Fobie gives us a sharp, energetic and predatory creation full of samples from the movie which, like a laxative, pushes the listened to the dancefloor. Yana Polishchuk (Sungirl) returns in the second last track, remixing a production by Manga project. Frustrated synthesizers make themselves heard and once again we experience the power of trance worthy of Russians. The whole thing is brought to an end with a Croatian project named Parrket, who delivers a tasty progressive track with evident clubby influences, all served in a Russian batter. This is surely one of the most interesting tracks on this CD. This is not an exceptional compilation and it is not groundbreaking. To be honest I did not expect it to be, but I did receive a compilation with very decent material, full of different pieces among which everyone will find something for themselves. A few of the tracks presented here guarantee a full dancefloor with a good soundsystem. I hope the next Dark Life Records release will be even better and my dream is to see even more purely Polish productions on their album covers in the future. After all we have so many talented artists that copying other countries would be an indiscretion. http://www.darklife-records.info/ http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=4962

Tristan - Chemisphere Nano Records, 2007 We have just officially welcomed Tristan and Laughing Buddha to the Nano family! Both have released on Nano over the last few years and are close friends already, but now they are 100% part of the team and will both be releasing albums on Nano in the near future. First up will be Tristan with his brand new album "Chemisphere" set for release in the first quarter of 2007! We are so happy to have both of them onboard and really feel their music is exactly what Nano is looking for. Info: UK based, Tristan, has been dj'ing for nearly 15 years and should need no introduction. He has travelled to many parts of the world through his work including New York, Tokyo, Israel, Paris, South Africa, Brazil, Zambia and many more... the DJ career has risen hand in hand with the production in the studio, which has included many collaborations with artists such as Manmademan, Process, 100th Monkey, Dick Trevor (of Green Nuns fame), and currently has plans to work with Simon Posford and Koxbox. He is presently working on his third album and first for Nano: "Chemisphere", which follows his first solo album: "Audiodrome", and second: "Substance" (both released on Twisted Records). Tristan has been a close friend and supporter of Nano since the beginning, along with releasing tunes through the label too. We are over the moon to have him on board and look forward to a bright partnership with our buddy for a long time to come. taken from http://www.nanorecords.co.uk Other vital links: - some clips from Ozora Festival 2006 (THE festival of the year) brought to you by Psytrance.pl crew, where you can see the main man in action - this is what is call psychedelic trance http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endid=72683437- Tristan on myspace - I strongly advise you to listen to "It's up to you" http://www.djtristan.com/ - Tristan's webiste Although his last album didn't impress me at all, his recent output on various compilations is just outstanding. Plus his show at Ozora 2007 was THE performance. Though there has been a shift in labels (from Twisted to Nano), I can't wait for the album!

Abracadabra Horns & Hoofs Entertainment, 2006 1. Mantik - Siu Nim Tao 2. Alic - The Gentle Way Of Mind-Destruction 3. Fuzzion - Black Magic (Live Remix) 4. Metalogic vs. Michael Lawrence - Fabricated 5. Midimiliz - Model 1 (Epi Centrum Remix One) 6. Fuzzion - Acid Flash (Original Mix) 7. Metalogic vs. Tao - Through Your Head 8. The Rockitmen - Elephant's Boogie 9. Kino Oko - Beats, Rhythm And Harmony 10. Mass Turbo - Sin Sinati After the highly acclaimed releases, meaning "Idea FX" compilation from Jerzy Przeździecki and "Lost Entertainment" album by Grzegorz Magnuszewski, H&H Entertainment is again back in the game. Soon after the mentioned releases we have been given an opportunity to taste some fresh meat from the Moscow-based label, which does not suffer from the syndrome of deploying an army of worthless releases every week. This time it is the head of Boshke Beats, Alex Tolstey, who stands behind compiling the material onto the disc. We start with a tech-trance tune named "Siu Nim Tao", which enables us to feel post-nuclear carnage on our backs. It is an ideal tune for fans of thick, hypnotic climate and a solid foot. A perfect choice for a party, home listening, car listening or wherever you want it, especially with some nice company from The Delta or Triac. Alic (Volker Jakubik & Adam Zawadzki) ease things up a bit, although their track is far from being an attention grabber. Fuzzior also lets me down, serving our hearing organs a tune, whose complexity can be compared to that of Duplo building blocks. The monotonous atmosphere of "Fabricated" leaves us with the feeling of certain emptiness, because the track itself seems to be building up continuously and in the end it lacks any development. Judging by the names involved, track number 5 seems to be one of the most interesting tunes here. What we have here is a combination of Midimiliz and 1/3 of the Bigwigs crew. According to the expectations, the track proves to be a match for my taste. This german-polish combo is surely something that keeps coming back in our memory now and then. Fuzzion is back in the game, this time with a chunky bit called "Acid Flash (Original Mix)". Although his previous track let me down, this one is a real treat, mostly because of the fact, that it combines dynamic and tribal element in a perfect manner. Again we get an offering from Metalogic, this time in a collaboration with Tao. A bit over-the-top electro is all is can say about this one. The Rockitman is Alex Tolstey and Frederick Hatsav (Metalogic). Besides a cheeky name, the track itself did not do it for me. In "Beats, Rhythm And Harmony" Magnes easily escapes from being branded and continues the ideas behind his debut album, "Lost Entertainment". Obviously standing out from the rest, this optimistic tune was just what the doctor ordered. The Last track is "Sin Sinati" by Jerzy Przeździecki as Mass Turbo. Jerzy has crafted here a smooth, gliding tune (125 BPM), which exposes both light and more edgy elements. A very good ending of this CD. Here I should also mention about a really nice bonus, namely a mp3 track that CD-owners can download from the Internet thanks to the information given on the cover. The track is "Mantik - Siu Nim Tao (Punched Remix)", a pumped up version of the first tune. A real stormer I must say, just like the original. Alex Tolstey has managed to put together a quite nice compilation, although it is certain that I prefer some other releases from the labels catalogue. Unfortunately, next to interesting tracks we have some less appealing ones. Just two previous releases from Horns & Hoofs Entertainment have proved, that it is not easy music, especially not for people with brains flat as a snooker table. The CD attracts the ear of the listener according to the motif on the cover. It would seem that Horns & Hoofs, while steering away from clichés, pleases only a certain group of people in an particular way. Nonetheless these vibes will surely get wider appeal, especially with such figures as Mantik, Kino Oko and Epi Centrum on the chessboard.
