That's not bad advice there Towlie... Not at all! I think you should do this Nhjo... Who knows, maybe you could be the next William Hung!? /DP
-
I've got them! But not for sale!
-
Hey, if it's worth £20 to you, that's all that matters, right? Anyway, some nice stuff you got there...
-
Well, coming from a prog background, I think you'd appreciate Etic's latest album Feedback which fuses melodic morning trance with progressive rhythms (just like the Tegma album you mentioned yourself). If you're looking for more downright melodic stuff (without the cheese!) I can strongly recommend you the Voice Of Cod album We Are Free and the Tron album Existence. Going in a more uplifting morning trance direction, is Mr. Peculiar's album Mind-Dala. Spectra's Beyond Belief has some of the same qualities, though it's verging more towards full-on ( be careful!). Finally I'd advise you to look into Tribal Vision stuff and Iboga Records' Set-series from 2005 (though it looks like you have #6 already). These are not melodic picks per se, but there's crossover potential like the Tegma album... /DP

Yeah, this CD uses a similar effect... The actual music starts from track #13

This thread DEFINITELY needs more attention... Hence this *bump*... OBEY YOUR MAAAASTER! /DP

My first trade with Tox went down and I got some nice CDs from him... ;o) It took a little extra while though, as the package decided to have a little holiday somewhere between Belgium and Denmark... But of course that wasn't Bert's fault... Anyway, I got the CDs and that's the most important thing... I would not hesitate to trade with him again... /DP

Check the booklet!

Now you're talking... Yeah, how about we actually try it out, and see how it works... What a great idea! So basically you want the star-background + green/orange buttons back, and you'd feel this site was more connected with psytrance - compared to these sad colors? Well, as I mentioned earlier, I'd advice you to use the cache function @ WebArchive if you want to reminisc about old times... In the meantime, allow me to be happy that the old reviews will be online once again... /DP
-
And how many hits do you think those Isratrance reviews get compared to the bumpable review threads in the forums? I'm not saying that Psynews will remain a forum forever, but for now, that's just what we're gonna have to make due with... And the search engine works perfectly - if you know how to use it! How about looking forward in stead of backwards old chum? No-one gets paid around here, and yet we still put in A LOT of work... And Mars puts in more work than anyone... He's just operating behind the scenes... You have NO idea how complicated the review-parsing process was... It was 2020 pages that had to be MANUALLY parsed, cleaned, etc... That took A LONG time - and that's without mentioning all the coding that Mars had to do before the parsing system was set up... So please refrain from calling Mars lazy... Nothing could be further from the truth... But hey, If you dislike how this site is being run, why are you still here? True... Mars pulled the biggest load here... As usual! Look, it was NEVER about the design was it? Is Isratrance about the design? Of course not - it's about the content - the added features of Invision is a big phat bonus on top of that... /DP
-
Well, that's not gonna happen... The old system is LONG gone... And who cares about the design really? Isn't the actual CONTENT of the review what's more important here?
-
I strongly disagree... The old system SUCKED beyond words compared to what we can offer today... Threads could not be bumped, edited or even moderated.. It was filled with crap - not to mention the formatting which made it very difficult to read. Furthermore, the old system didn't have any login protection at all, which made several threads filled with pointless spam, flamewars and other crap by anonymous users... It's 2006 now, so reinstating a system that was conceived in 2000 would be absolutely pointless... Also, we've spent a good while parsing + cleaning the old reviews to make any use of them now. So, if you miss the old design that much, I suggest you make use of the cache function @ WebArchive... /DP
-
We can't do that... They were too vulnarable for hacks... We've parsed them + cleaned them up, and they're gonna be integrated in the current forum system... I guess there will be a few dupes, but we're plenty of moderators now to fix this... /DP

Yeah, you can expect a little over 2000 new threads in these forums... Packed with album, compilation and EP reviews... and /DP
-
With the exception of a very few early Children-reviews, all initial reviews had to have a substatial lenght to be accepted... So your assesment is wrong - and I've just parsed/cleaned close to 1000 reviews, so I should know... Yes, there are short comments too - just like today, but the opening reviews usually carry a little more weight... That's why they are called reviews! /DP
-
Yeah, that's where my vote goes too... A seperate sub-forum for each your from 1995 - onwards... Yeah, I really, really, REALLY missed them too... And believe me, they are even better now after all the spam + fights + non-english + one-liner reviews were removed... I went thru A LOT of them whilst cleaning, and it was sooooo nostalgic... I can't wait to see them up again... Look forward to it guys! I was thinking about that too... But as I've understood it, these will be just regular forum threads (Over 2000 new ones! ), so I guess it shouldn't be that hard to merge them with existing threads... Same goes for moderation... I'm not sure if the original authors can edit, but us moderators can at least... And to Seraph... Dude, I'm excited too... You've written SOOOOO many good reviews over the year man... Now they will shine again! /DP

You can easily find the re-issue yes, but the original press is somewhat harder to find... True, Delta Aquarids, is not among the rarest releases out there - but re-released stuff doesn't count in that equation
-
Well, d'uh! Re-releases are not really intereting in this context...
-
I promise you get first dips, if I run into another copy...
-
And to think, two weeks ago I had to mint condition copies of Synthetic Flesh CD... I should have sold the spare copy on Ebay in stead of trading it... Not! ... I got something just as valuable in return... ;o)
-
What music are you listening to right now?
DeathPosture replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Seems like your keyboard is missing the T and L keys... Ahahaha! Nice one! Oh, and to get back on topic... I'm listening to a TIMELESS classic: /DP -
