  1. Have you tried posting the same question at Discogs? One of the acid forums could probably help you.
  2. Sorry, friend, I can't agree. I've been listenning to goa trance since 1995, and I bought the compilations with their first tracks back in the day. Their music is very overlooked. Noone was talking excitedly about an Amtinaous release back then. Neither did I. Their music is only available at seven 1990's compilations. That's not much. Their tracks were released at POF and were never picked up by other independent labels. There are three EP releases at Discogs. The first one, which you quouted above has only three reviews, and they are all written after the Amtinaous Single Collections were released. Coincidence? I think not. The second release, Araxia (Remix) / Trip On Nexus, has five reviews. The oldest of them by Dat Records founder Draeke. Here's what he has to say: "Wicked duo this one, mostly unknown to the mass of goa trancers, except to some weird collectors like me maybe.." Their third release has, zero (0) reviews. I arrest my case. 😅
  3. We got a few unmixed tracks that were previously unavailable at Spotify, such as Rollercoaster and Snickesnack.
  4. Most of the Classic Goa Trax releases deserve to remain unreleased or be forgotten, but there are some great exceptions like Amtinaoüs - Single Collection. Although I consider myself a collector of most things goa trance, I must say Amtinaoüs music has never really captured my attention, but this collection of their single tracks put their music in a new light. Definitely overlooked. Also available at Bandcamp https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/album/single-collection-remastered
  5. This album needs your attention, if you're looking for something along the lines of Nystagmus and (old school) Talpa: https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/album/saska-l-ti-1983-2016 Listen to New Shit & Smoke and Mirrors. Also available @ Spotify.
  6. Listening to the interview right now. I'm really impressed they have reconstructed the original tracks because the original files are lost.
  7. Old school remixes by Infected Mushroom, and neither love nor hate in the comments. This site is truely dead.
  8. What a great surprise! Infected Mushroom has remixed and updated some of their older tracks, and what a treat it is. This is really great. Let's hope more of their older tracks get the same treatment.
  9. Please stop this Jotinha. You have zero interactions with your post. What you're posting is not of relevance to this forum.
  10. Please stop spaming us. I will look at none of your posts.
  11. I find it very hard to believe that anyone would transition from mainstream music to Goa trance to make money. I can't think of one example. Astral Projection are certainly appreciated in the psytrance community, but I wouldn't say they are widely popular nor appreciated by mainstream markets. They have 77 970 monthly streams @ Spotify, that's far from widely popular. Dance Is The Answer is their latest "hit", and it hasn't even got one million streams.
  12. I found this great Tripiatrik live set at Youtube: It's actually a mix of mostly Paps and Yumade tracks, and one Tripiatrik track, nonetheless, great stuff. I was a bit surprised by a comment: Pierre Busson, aka Yumade, is currently making disco flavored electronic music as Yuksek. And he's doing really good judging by the number of streams: What other psytrance artists have managed to transition to other genres and become successful? The only other example I can think of is Infected Mushroom.
  13. I didn't think there was anything old school out there to be discovered, but there was. I recently stumbled over The Spirit Dance album by Imago, and I quite like it. Not all tracks are winners, but The Black God, Azure Heaven, Angels of Peace, Wild E and Galactic Answer are certainly worthy of your attention. The album is available on Spotify. Turns out they are Swedish, which makes me even more surprised, how did they not get more attention? Can't recall I've ever heard about them. Maybe the album was considered to be too much "goa"? Back in 1997, when the album was released, most labels and listeners (me included) were more interested in the more psychedelic and less melodic sounds from TIP and Flying Rhino. Looking back, it's certainly an underrated album. Imago were three guys: Jesper Ahlström, Per Stålbrand and Johan Löfstedt. I dug up some of their other projects of interest. Jesper and Per released a four track EP on Why Not Records in 1996, as Choreus. Why Not was the label responsible for the Destination Goa series. I've found two of the tracks on YouTube: I believe the track Creative alternative by Exotic is well known by most old school lovers. It's made by Jesper and Leo Bergman aka Spindrift: Jesper and Per collaborated with Swedish house and techno pioneer Jesper Dahlbäck as Axxess Granted and released a track called The Guide, released on the Nordic Rave compilation. Any way, I think these guys deserve more attention.
  14. A really great unofficial Isiteshi remix of Shpongle's Divine Moments of Truth: I believe we need a Shpongle in Forest remix album.
  15. It's not often there's a new post from Hallucinogen @ Facebook, but a couple of days ago it happened. Posford posted a link to a dj set by boom boom techno dj ANNA and was some what upset of a lame remix of Gamma Goblins. He wanted to know who was responsible for it. Turned out it was ANNA's boyfriend Wehbba, but she claimed it's not a remix, but an original track. Someone wrote that there's a "gamma goblin" preset on a synth called Polybrute, so Wehbba probably used that preset, not knowing it's importance for the psytrance crowd. That could have been case closed, but someone posted a clip from an old Brian De Palma movie called Sisters from 1972, and accused Posford of hypocrisy: Posford is born in 1971, so it's not unlikely he saw the movie in his teens and maybe the melody stuck with him. Fast forward to the mid 1990's and that melody resurfaces in his mind and becomes one of the best psytrance tracks out there. Or maybe it was a rip off. We will not know until Posford replies, and so far he hasn't.
  16. The source of the track has been identified. It's from a John Fleming mix, and it's labelled as an Astral Projection track called Structural Schematics (starts at 52.07). A Fleming remix of Mahadeva was released back in 2004 and he's one of the most well known trance djs, so it's not unlikely that he had access to unreleased AP material.
  17. You seriously need to rebrand your label, Goapsyrecords, it's hard to imagine a more generic name. On Spotify the album you're promoting is called DarkPsy Journey in Multiverses (Psytrance experience). Sorry, judging by the name of your label and the name of the album, I would asume this is 100 % generic and soulless music.
  18. In this Etnica live set, there are two remixes of old time classic: Technossomy's Elektron Bender och Sheyba's Trance Africa Express. It made me dream that Etnica would release a Goa Classics Remixed album just as Astral Projection did. What old time classics do you think would be suitable for an Etnica treatment? Here are some suggestions from me: Chakra - Hallucinator Kailash - Higher MFG - Shape the Future Power Source - Skywalker Slinky Wizard - Funkus Munkus (already sounds like it could be an Etnica track) Witchcraft - Whale

This one was new to me, a Pleiadians remix of Elektron Bender from 2018:

Of course, Domestic & Space Cat remixed the remix, but the Shamanix track is still from 1995.

Ah, the good old days! I was a regular on that mailing list. I vaguely remember the conversation you're referring to, and I definitely remember Simon's presence. I thought I had saved all mails from that era, but it seems I can't find any mails from Simon. No results on whiningtrancer@yahoo.com, and as far as I can recall he used to sign his emails with "Si", but no luck. It would be excellent if we could find that e-mail. This is important background information. Seems like I only have e-mails from 2006 and onwards. Probably lost the rest when I switched to gmail. 😞 @ukiro, do you have a complete 604 mailing list archive?
  22. Now I hear what you're getting at! This definitely has more of an AP vibe than his latest album. Let's hope he replies back to you. Even a negative reply is positive when trying to identify an unknown track. 🙂
