  1. Some new and really good looking covers:
  2. Tonight Sweden's first astronaut, Christer Fuglesang, will be sent to space, and we are all very excited. If you were to give Christer three albums to listen to while in space, which would they be? :-) Mine would be: Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? Pleiadians - I.F.O. Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
  3. You're the man! I prefer recently-released-good-tunes over recycled-ethnic-sample-cd-tunes.
  4. It has been a long time since Liquid Sound Design released a compilation and an even longer time since they released an excellent compilation. Acoording to their website there is an upcoming compilation called Illuminations but that is all the information there is. Saiko Sounds has set the release date to the 24th of November but as far as I can recall the release dates they set cannot be trusted. So what's happening? When will their new compilation be released?
  5. I was listening to an old favourite of mine, Odds' Flying To The Sky, and it struck me how UX like it was. So I visited Discogs and it turned out there's an Odds collaboration album called X-Plore Sybernetic Concept "Finger's Memories" (terrible name). Among the tracks there are two collaboration tracks with Kris Kylven (!) but none of them are Flying To The Sky. Both the tracks, O.W.U. and Skrull, had previously been released as an EP on an unknown label called X-Plore Records. The EP only gives credit to Odds, no mention of Kris Kylven. Flying To The Sky was their only hit and one of the earliest Flying Rhino releases (1995, ZFR 004) and the track is only credited to Odds (C. Graphinet & B. El Metoui) but to my ears there's a clear UX feeling all over that track, so what's the story? Was Kris Kylven involved but not credited as with their other EP? Has anyone heard their collaborations album? What's it like? Odds @ Discogs
  6. From the Native State Records newsletter: Native State proudly presents Outlines, the highly anticipated full-length album from Shen. Taken from the arcane Taoist term for 'refined energy' or 'depth', Shen is Noah Pred's outlet for low-tempo explorations of forward-thinking computer music. Drawing inspiration from geomancy and botanical architecture, Shen dives deep into forward-thinking electronic dub and downtempo. His music takes advantage of cutting-edge digital technologies while retaining an analog warmth and character through exquisite chords, textures, and atmospheres. 7. A new album by Adham Shaikh, Collectivity, has been released on Sonic Turtle: Collectivity @ Sonic Turtle Collectivity @ Discogs.com Previews @ Saiko Sounds
  8. I would recommend something a little bit less psychedelic if she is a novice. Maybe: V.A. - Beneath the Surface V.A. - Kumharas Vol 2 V.A. - Left Coast Liquid V.A. - Melatonic Music Personally, I would give her something outside of the psy genre, like Thievery Corporation, Cibelle, Colleen, Fila Brazillia or Flanger.
  9. I hope that you have all noticed an artist called Gappeq. He's one of the most interesting new artists in our scene, he actually creates psychedelic music and he is very talented at it. In the release information for the new Kethu compilation, Psychic Imprint, they mention that Gappeq's debut album will be released this winter! Are there any rumours about it out there? Btw, his new track on the above mentioned compilation is yet another great number. Too bad all Ketuh compilations follow the same formula: excellent opening track by Gappeq followed by generic fillers.
  10. Ultimae Records
  11. Engrish must be the new official full on language since Digital Psionics is an Australian label.
  12. Seriously, this is good stuff! Certainly my kind of vibe. Could you upload full quality versions?
  13. There are some previews from the upcoming album on Fake Science's pod cast: http://us1.fakescience.com/labreport.php The previews are great!
  14. Another excellent and beautiful track!
  15. Amazing album! One of the few releases I've bought this year.
  16. I've been on that list since 1996 and I remember that classic 604 post. Those were the days.
  17. Thanks!
  18. Thanks! Highly appreciated, let me know if there's anything you're looking for and I'll do the samething for you.
  19. The sample in Protoculture's Terra Tronics is from Doom 3.
  20. Is it an MP3 mix? If so, where can I download it? Google returned too many crap results...
  21. LOL! When I heard the samples I said to myself: this sounds just like Bluetech, but I have all Bluetech tunes and I don't recognize this so it's probably something else. Guess I was wrong, or right, or something. :-)
  22. I don't know what track it is but if you ever find out please let us know. Great track!
