Not to forget the mighty Bonzai records label...........

This probes that all Goa stories ( Books & dvds included ) are part of a conspiracy to hide the true roots of psychedelic trance music. Psytrance was invented by a drunk accordion player, and not by some hippie high on acid and..... well, we all know the rest of the story.

A simple vision about (psychedelic) music evolution
CoLoUr DoTZ replied to deepXcode's topic in General Psytrance
It makes a lot of sense, and makes me wonder also on the youth factor. Youngsters listen to what is there, and make it faster as the are already used to it. Will psytrance make it to "speedcore" standard ?? Might happen.... -
A simple vision about (psychedelic) music evolution
CoLoUr DoTZ replied to deepXcode's topic in General Psytrance
To me the sense of speed in music depends a lot of the elements and rhythm on them. For example a 180 bpm kick (with a soft trasient), with a slow pad on the back, can sound very relaxing, and the fact is that 90 bpm is half of 180. Equally, a 133 bpm track with a hihat going bunkers at 1/32 note can give a very fast sensation. The reason behind 137-139 bpm on 90s trance was that that was the heart´s beating speed when a normal person was excited, I guess the effect raising the bpm is also raising the excitement, but going beyond 150 becomes unnatural. In fact in drum and bass parties people dance slow, like half speed of the music, so instead of jumping around at 160, they move to every second beat at 80. In what evolution concerns, it is true that trance is being written in faster pace, but this doesn´t mean that, back, then trance was played slowler, pitch control is in cd and deck players since long ago, and depending on the party and the time into the night there was a wide range of bpm played. As E-Mantra, I prefer slower bpms, up to 142, as I feel there´s more space for the music, but maybe I´m just becoming lazy...... -
Which album is gonna be released first? AP or Hallucinogen?
CoLoUr DoTZ replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
Posford already stated that he liked to have a try again. I liked to think that he is quietly working in some stuff, some progressive stuff ala Prometheus but with loads of bubbling sounds. Shpongle and Younger Brother are not taking that much time from him apart from a gig every now and then. So what is the guy up to?? Probably making music......... Solo album?? -
The best goa party locations you ever had
CoLoUr DoTZ replied to Anoebis's topic in General Psytrance
South Africa. Apart from the amazing landscapes you also get to meet some baboons as you go for a ride on a bike from the camp. On my wish list Australia is top........ There´s no way to upload pics to the forum?? -

Nice tips!! Haldolium and Elea are a must. I still must point that lately I don´t see much innovation in what basslines concerns. To my opinion is starting to get quite boring all this one note heart beat, or machine gun basslines, and is a pity, because ( imho ) more variety will throw the genre into another dimension.

Dont know about Germany beating Spain, in the world cup they seemed so scared on the field, even thought they had won Argentina for such a big diference a few days before. Still, I dont see germans happy about being kick out for 3rd time in a row by Spain. For sure best game in the Eurocup. If it ever happens....

It would be nice to see Arsenal in semifinals or the final . Last 2 years they were not very lucky having to play Barça in quarters......
-
Very true, they probably have more chances to win something than last year. I hope they don´t, I can not stand a team made out of a paycheck. Embarrasing the amount of money they pay for players, and how they get rid of their own...... And Mourihno has an obsession with Barça that is probably causing him some desease. If Real Madrid wins Barça for more that 2 goals in any game soon he will probably explode out of ego...... Barça have serious chances again...., and is probably favorite all around Europe. Don´t know if that is good or not.......

jejeje, I´m so sorry for Mourihno....

I do agree, it is very idealistic thing, but nothing it could not be achieve through education. On a global scale it really seems hard to get people out of the malls, but on a local level, and through civil associations in neighborhoods, people can share ideas out of the disney, massmedia world. We just have to look at the "15m-occupy wall street" movement and how the thing is growing every day. It may not be as defined as to be understood by everyone, but it is a new born movement who can bring many good things to all. History is not a objective subject, and it all depends on who tells you, but modern anthropologist like Richard Lee or Marshall Sahlins, among others, describe the time before agriculture and religion, as a time where humans would only eat meat once a month, and would live out of collecting, not storing. That for at least 2 million years. Maybe they were living in Eden, and there was not need to store, but we first world could learn from them and slow down our consumption level. No one needs 2 cars at the door and a telly in every room. That could be feasible, and it´s probably occurring as an effect to this crisis. Regulation is for sure part of the solution, not just to bankers, but also to our politicians. Changes in the democratic system as we know it to today should be forced to developed the tools for citizens to control the governments. One vote every 4 years is not enough.
