Ibizarre - Underwater World - Awesomely Brilliant! and Cold November Rain by G&R's (Yeah I know it's not psy but still an emotionally moving piece of music)
-
May have the answer ...weird was just listening to Distance Music tracks and came across the end of the video - sounds like it's Headspace/Psychosis - on Distance Music - Distance to Goa(10) CD2 certainly sounds the same to me - or sounds like the DJ is using it as a layover the other track... Could be wrong but listening to both tracks (video/winamp) they seem to compare ... open to correction on that of course I'd like to know the track being played in the middle of that vid? Anyone? ~

My apoligies - I've just got of the phone with mentioned mate and it was magic mushroom he was involved with. Going by what he said they were later to become (or worked with) Astralasia. So I was wrong on that one - getting names mixed up..My apoligies. My main point though looking at it from the main stream view (Remeber I said I had left the underground stuff around end of 92/early-mid 93) was that Techno became more well known first and then the more intelligent forms developed from there. Sorry but thats the way I see Techno - it's allways made me bored - not saying I don't like it , it has it's place but over Trance - no competition IMHO. Anyway as I say my apoligies for my mix-up. Respects Nomad gawd that Av looks gak - where's me little computer dude gone - replaces back ... lol

I agree Lemmi - but not in Britain at the time... As I said - to the more knowledgable it did exist but was rarely heard in the club scenes of 90[91ish] through 93. Yes in the smaller underground scenes but not in the main stream which is where I'm indicating really - Psy didn't really get going as such then till 95/96 onwards (as we know it) prior to that it was all hardcore, the apperance of Jungle etc around end of 91/92. Far as I remember anyway...I never heard any psy till late 94 early 95 and then rarely. Some was played in really good chill areas.. but again rarely heard in the main stream. Again thats as far as I'm aware. I was leaving the scene around end of 92/mid 93 because of all the crap happening (shit substances etc) so yeah I agree I missed a few years but as I say psy was not really main stream untill a few years later. Nomad edit: Juno back in 93? interesting - never knew that, thought they kicked of around late 94/95 .. which album/track? out of interest
-
Psy - Trance in 93? don't be silly Techno only started around late 93/ early 94 and Psy was an off shoot of that as the sounds developed and as for IM releasing there first tracks 98? yeah maybe, but they were developing there sound from 95/96 onwards ...I can state that from fact as my mate Gandalf worked with them around those times. And if you really want to split hairs - Psychedelic music go's back to the mid-late 60's. And as I said there is no good or bad music just incorrect use of aural sound...Thats what I work with sound not music...placing those sounds together correctly is what counts. Music is easy to work with - sound another matter all together.. Respects Nomad oh btw - I should add that is from the Western Perspective - of course Goa and the developement of Electronica happened much earlier with the Isreali DJ's (amongst others) and the Goa scene. (Just in case you jump all over the above)

My mate Peacefrog/Tantra mentioned this - can't wait for the release (eventually lol)...If it's any thing like Shpongled which I played to death (along with stashbag) - well as I say - can't wait.. As for it being the last? Who knows but best to leave on a high than on a downer IMHO.. Nomad

Sorry couldn't resist this one .. Where best to find em? West Cork in Ireland - Most of the 'Hippies' Live there now LMAO ... As I said sorry - just couldn't resist ... Nomad

Wha! whoa! since when did this happen? Last I remeber the Assembly rooms had all but been taken over by the 'Militant Ladies'. Wow! Nice to hear it's still going strong I really do miss the Tor and must get by for a visit some day (Soon) years since I been there.... Hope you guy's had a good one. Respects, Nomad -
You link Infected Mushroom up with that statement? That just shows you haven't a clue what your on about. Your talking about a crew who more or less invented or helped to invent Psy-trance. Now that is what I particularly dislike. When you have achieved the level of respect that Infected have earned time and time again then you (Possibly) have the right to dis them, till then go learn music properly cause as I said first you just haven't got a clue. There is no such thing as good or bad music/sound just some do not know how to use those sounds properly so they form a constructive journey of Aural understanding. But one must understand and critisise constructively so that the person who is not using the sound correctly gains knowledge and direction. To just dissmiss them with negativity does not help them in anyway. I probably would've supported your initial statement till you made a comment about a crew who has influenced the Genre's you mention from not an outside viewpoint but the very root core of both Genre's, Nomad

OMG! I remember that! LOL I bought the tape when I was in North Wales once.... I sussed some info out on it and if I remember right track 6(?) side two is actually a sample of a Bee-Hive! Nice tape and kinda trippy in places...I even had most of the set in the end but feck knows what happened to em all... LOL Thanks for the memory, I was on my way home from a gig up in the mountains by Harlech at the time... Respects Nomad

To me there is only one Genre - the one where it all began - Rave! So I'm an old fogey - bite me lol [] but thats the way I think of it ever since I went to my first gig in 89 at roundway hill and 'Circus Warp'. (Wonder what happened to them?) ..... Nomad

full blown madness for a time when nothing else matters..nice breaks and ideas. I think this will please all members of both camps. If there are dj's out there try playing the first two tracks at 136-38..fattens the bass and turns what was a wicked track into indescribable pleasure
-
Along with solar seeds and otherwise this is the best release of the last 6 months IMO. Every track is fat, heavy and psychedelic...what more do you need to know
-
IF you like bigwigs you'll like this ..no one else seems to be able to do it quite like them..very dark and very hard, these guys are awesome

freak 51 ..thankyou , your review gave me more pleasure than slotmachine, however if you are as seasoned and knowledgeable as freak 51, you will appreciate more the complexities of this music.i found it too harsh and headache like.
