Dimitris started his journey into music at the dawn of the underground psychedelic scene in mid 90’s, collecting experiences and influences from outdoor festivals and parties in the magical Greek landscape. He has been performing in several local parties, in some breathtaking outdoor as well as indoor locations where his music served the listeners with an all-embracing feeling for nature elements. In 2003, Dimitris decided to express his thoughts and ideas through music production and he attended piano and sound engineering seminars while building his own studio. After years of experimentation, Chill-O-Matta is the result of the efforts to display his fine elegant music skills to a wider public audience. As an ambient adventurer, his music is characterised by chordal and dub sequences forming the perfect journey into consciousness and inner search and the nature elements surrounding us all. Yes, it was he who had told me the tale about two gnomes, two extraordinary, peculiar in a way but also good-natured forest inhabitants that found a way to gain inspiration for their music… Their subterranean dwellings were surrounded by many goofy trolls, stinky leprechauns, harmless sprites, brownies, and all kinds of fairies. Forest Saarath was actually area that preserved all the exclusive imaginary and supernatural beings in just one place. Everybody was happy in this little woody society, except - the two gnomes. They were filled with gloom, some deep sadness. Something was missing. Yes, there was a lack of creativity. So, the old Chakat had also mumbled about an elf, a tiny mischievous person that was always playing around the forest, always farting around with that nasty smile on his face, always causing trouble in the neighbourhood. One day, he was teasing the gnomes as usual, throwing rocks and some sneezing dust on them, but they were too sad for any kind of response. The annoying fellow went to Moira, the eldest sprite, to take some more dust, but instead of that he had stolen some mushrooms. He put them into gnome’s food, had hidden near by, and had waited to see how they would react… ‘’And then’’, I said, ‘’what happened?’’ After they finished the meal, the gnomes were on their feet, talking, laughing, and worst of all, dancing and making some strange music. ‘’What happened then?’’ - ‘’Nothing…just, the whole forest was dancing and tripping on the music''...
