I feel Dark Goa inadvertently sounds psychedelic. The good dark Goa albums I've heard are: Message From God (MFG) - Project Genesis Juno Reactor - Beyond the Infinite Cydonia - In Fear of a Red Planet Chakra & Edi Mis - The Promised Land Crop Circles - Tetrahedron - I found this album to be darkish.

To get the stereotypical psy bassline you don't need no fancy VB-1. Just put in a line of kicks and make the volume of every 4th kick twice the volume of all the over kicks. Also these full volume kicks should have a higher pitch, do this and you'll get the typical psy bassline. off topic: why does every psy track have the same 'ol tired bassline?

Is the album Koxbox - Dragon Tales goa or psy?
-
I like Arabian Night on Mescaline and Juice. I think Juice is considered by many to be their best :wank:
-
Charm - Brain Structure...nice melodic tracks, with a interesting breakdown and some squealing synths.
-
Underhead - Orojuna...gem of a track though overlooked

Can I make Goa music with Garageband?
karan129 replied to Jon Cocco's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
If you want to know what to get started with, well I'd say FL. I found its interface to be super intuitive. -
Nah...classic and acid trance had less layers and didn't push it as much as Goa did, take any Etnica or Hallucinogen track. The layers, the sounds, the psychedelica, can't be matched by classic trance. I feel that classic trance gained wider acceptance because its easier to appreciate, the sounds are more familiar than the psychedelic, outwordly sounds used in Goa tracks. Ofcourse I'm not saying classic trance wasn't good, but Goa is IMHO better

Etnica! My favorite Goa project :drama:
-
Well non-Goa tracks then these ones are classics. Dance 2 Trance - We Came in Peace Solar Quest - Acid Air Raid Orbital - Remind Balil - Parasight Aphex Twin - Didgeridoo Hardfloor - Acperience 1 Union Jack - Red Herring I didn't like Age of Love much, somehow I find it somewhat like House. I prefer We Came in Peace if you're talking about the first few trance tracks.

For the first rec I'd say Talpa - The Art of Being Non Etnica - Alien Protein For the second try Unconscious Collective - Fluorostani Transcendence
-
Oh, thanks. The spelling of that track always confused me. Its a really unique track with some fun samples.

why am I the only person here who listens oldschool psytrance?
karan129 replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
I listen to Goa too!!!!! Goa>>>>Psy. Oh sure, there are some great Psy albums that can be compared to Goa like Talpa - The Art of Being Non but overall IMHO Goa simply wins. -
For me, it was always between Hallucinogen - LSD and Sound Pollution - Where, but in the end Where has won out. Its just so beautifully produced, perfect!
-
Looking for interesting tracks of voodoo people

I prefer Winamp's Milkdrop plugin, its has some amazing, trippy presets such as.... Rovostar - Tripmaker Redi Jedi - Acid in Your Pants Bmelgren - Acid Iris E.O.S. - Glowsticks and Proton Lights (Recursive Mix) Geiss - Cosmic Dust 1 Rovostar and Loadus - Active Sparks (Fractaldrop Remix) Rovostar - Mosiac of the Ages Shifter - Fractal Grinder Valhalla - Happy Trip and loads more..... -
Ambient...what about The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences Talpa - The Art of Being Non Etnica - Equator IMHO, MFG is darker than GNOR.

Awesome recommendations! They've gone a long way towards completing this list This is how it looks like now....I was wondering is it worthy enough and is there space to put it up here?
-
How can we forget Analog Pussy!!! Espcially when they come out with an album titled.... Psycho Bitch from Hell!!!!!!!! And ofcourse Green Nuns of the Revolution. I like Ayahuascua too, the way it rolls off the tongue Etnica has that mystical aura to it. And Technossomy sounds cool
-
Maybe you're looking for Goa and not Psy, Goa is much more melodic and enchanting...try Etnica - Alien Protein Astral Projection - Trust in Trance Hallucinogen - Twisted Cosmosis - Cosmology Shakta - Silicon Trip Doof - Lets Turn On Message from God - Project Genesis Pleidians - Identified Flying Object Thats a good start for Goa I think. Ofcourse this is only if you're looking for Goa and not psy.
-
Thanks, added them. Wow! How could I have missed this out!! Honestly And which is the best Goa Gil compilation out there? Forest of the Saints? Non-Stop Trance Party? Ceiba?

Thanks for the recommendations, I've added them. Could you name their best works?
