Consume Adapt Create is great! Over the last few years I've come across the words "Ad Noiseam" more and more frequently. They put out some good stuff, and no wonder, seeing they release music by Bong-Ra, End.User, Somatic Responses, DJ Hidden.... Oh, and I checked out the rest of the Mobthrow album the moment I heard Bulb Engine Great post-apocalyptic feel as you said.

What do you guys think of Breathless? When people mention Laurent Garnier they talk about Acid Eiffel, Wake Up, The Man with the Red Face etc... but, for me, Breathless seems to be on an entirely different level. I'd be interested in how the chip 'dynamically rewires' and how they select nodes to be connected. I mean are all nodes connected to each other, or just some. Because in the brain each neuron is connected to a several thousand other neurons out of the 100 billion neurons present. So how are these connections chosen?

Haven't heard a lot of techno but definitely Manhasset, Mind to Mind, Spastik, Plasticine, Gantz Graf, Breathless.... Techno is just so good at conveying a sense of the ineffable, you get this feeling you're barely scratching the surface of something immense and profoundly deep. No, not atleast what I'm trying to get at. Every goa/trance hit has good builds and breakdowns, and the effect is achieved through the continuous build/breakdown as psymetal&bass pointed out. But a few tracks do have a moment that stands out and etches itself in your memory. If this isn't making sense, nevermind. Another example is Shakta - SBPB at 5:20. Just when you think the track can't possibly do any better, this heavenly melody comes in.

I was listening to Chi-A.D. - Eye Am the I the other day and I realised I listen to the track in complete anticipation of the build in tension from 5:20 to 6:10 and that stellar moment at 6:10 when the beat completely drops and this empyrean synth kicks in for a few beats, then the beat kicks back in and the track takes off. Anyone got similar favourite moments of brilliance?

They're reliable but they're really hard to read in my experience. I agree with you about popular science in the sense you can't understand science fully unless you actually sit down and do the math. That's the problem with communicating science to the public, wrt issues such as global warming, it's hard to communicate math.
