  1. I guess Space Pussy would be Goacore? Hard bassline, thumping kick, thick swirling synth lines.
  2. Two tracks that give me the cyberpunk feel but aren't explicitly cyberpunk... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUpFzs91sdg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N4vm7jweuM
  3. There is a compilation series with this very name that probably has the kind of music you're looking for VA - Psychedelic Goa Core Vol. 1 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Psychedelic-Goa-Core/release/166273 Vol. 2 http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Orph%C3%A9e-Psychedelic-Goa-Core-2/master/58026 Vol. 3 http://www.discogs.com/Orph%C3%A9e-Psychedelic-Goa-Core-3/release/59869 I personally liked Vol. 1 best, the quality decreased with each volume. Still, good stuff.
  4. Apologies. I didn't know trance was defined as having 4x4 beats only. For me, trance is more about melodies and the "feel" and less about beats. Dead Cities has the "trance feel" which is why I posted it.
  5. My fav dark trance track. This is just so good. It's a bit psychedelic I guess...
  6. I think pretty much everyone is reading the new SOIAF book "Dance with Dragons" It's been delayed 5 years and people have been dying to read it. I just finished reading Gibson's Sprawl Trilogy, the one which spawned the cyberpunk genre - great stuff. Thinking of reading some PKD...tried "Flow My Tears...." but was kinda disappointed. Going to try either "V.A.L.I.S." or "The Three Stigmata...". Anyone got any recommendations? Pretty easy to find on the interwebs if you don't mind ebooks.
  7. Ubar Tmar - Macrosomametakosmos With an album name like that, can the music be far behind?
  8. There's also half of Analog Pussy. I'd say it's because producing psy requires technical knowledge like cutoffs, LFOs, peak controllers and whatnot which does not appeal to them. Too bad, I'm sure we're missing out on some good music =\
  9. That is hard to beat! Here's a mixed comp I quite like : http://www.discogs.com/Various-Psychedelic-Goa-Core/release/166273
  10. No posts for 5 days...I guess Redington wins? Oh wait...
  11. Funkiest Acid House track for me. After hearing it for the first time, I couldn't get the hook out of my head for 2 days. 'In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void. And darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved uponthe face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light. And there was light. And God saw the light that it was good and God divided light from the darkness.' From Bible, Genesis Chapter, voice by Sir John Gielgud. I actually heard this track for the first time at the beginning of the Karahana Ganey Huga movie.
  12. Yes! The last two tracks on that album are mind blowing. I can't stop listening to Wind Tunnel. Nice video too. Really, Wind Tunnel and Deep Pools are some of the best dubstep I've heard. Stupid question - what's 2-step? I'll check out FaltyDL and 2562 presently. Thanks
  13. Not too sure but I think you might be referring to what's called 'drumstep' if I'm right. Becoming the next cool thing after dubstep I suppose. Here are 2 'drumstep' kind of tracks I know... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l-m_fwfu3M
  14. What an excellent track! Any recommendations in a similar vein will be appreciated ^^ Aside, for those who like the awesome bass kinda dubstep...this was recently released.
  15. Total Eclipse Etnica Sandman Jaia Sound Pollution Out:Scorb
  16. Yes! The Sleepwalker track from the same album has pretty cool Scanner samples also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N4vm7jweuM
  17. Idk about all music styles of all time, but my favourite sample in Goa Trance is the crazy, female sample in Nommos - Amma. Spine chilling. At 4:10
  18. Charles Wuorien - Time's Enconium. Can't find the whole thing on Youtube. This is the best...
  19. Trilithon - Trance Dance 128 (1991) I don't know much about new beat, but this does sound halfway between New Beat and Goa Trance to me. Very ahead of it's time.
  20. Sorry, my mistake. Not what time of the day the music belongs to. Genres - time of the day - same difference.
  21. Both of course. It's about good music, not what genre the music belongs to.
  22. It's music so of course there is no "scientific definition" or rule. It goes by your ear. Yes, I choose those 2 tracks purposely because there is a clear difference between them. But to me Koxbox - Dragon Tales and Etnica - Alien Protein has a difference in styles. The later is more melodic, and the former is more bent on exploring weirder/different sounds and stitching them together. If you do not hear a difference, then it's your ears, your perception, and that's it.
