  1. i once got very strange looks from my passengers for pressing the gas pedal in rhythm to the beat
  2. i didn't read the part about no eq yet. i'm looking forward to the finished version then
  3. nice track! but i think the bass sounds a bit too plastic as the melodies on top don't sond plastic at all.
  4. U.X. Cydonia Tim Schuldt MFG Darshan and maybe Process and Shidapu.
  5. sounds nice. but i think the very clean sounding bass makes it sound proggy
  6. 1. Ra 2. Filteria 3. Artifact303 4. Goasia 5. E-Mantra 6. Aerosis 7. Artha 8. Khetzal 9. Antares 10. Agneton but the exact order is subject to change depending on the mood at the moment. btw: what is D5 doing on the list?
  7. totally depends on the track in my imagination anything from ancient temples to rainbow-coloured rotating shapes for good psytrance (which is rare) : unique sounds and the 'out-there' atmosphere it creates for good goatrance: the complexity. lots of different, constantly changing layers playing at the same time. it's music you can totally get lost in.
  8. the samples sound really nice. and transonic fields is finally getting released i can't wait
  9. वोट आर यू लाफ़िङ ऐट? ;-) there are supposedly psytrance clubs in goa and you will inevitably hear psytrance in some of the cafés on the beach, but when i was there in february even the nine bar which i've heard was the best venue over there for a long time played minimal techno instead of psytrance...
  10. 'Hara Gobi - Holi Live' cannot be missing in this thread.
  11. morphem - 'magma' and 'my plan' don't really have indian samples, but for me capture the vibe you feel in the area around aramol really well.
  12. i see progressive as part of psy which as a whole is incredibly inferior to goa trance! (although i must admit that progressive is the best subgenre of (non-goa-)psy ) voted goa only, although i like a lot of psy too. but at home i have listened almost exclusively to goa for years and still vastly prefer it to psy and have never gotten bored with it. i find there's much more variety in goa than in psy (which includes progressive, fullon and darkpsy). (attention: exaggeration!) fullon or darkpsy is almost like different remixes of the same track all over to me.
  13. absolutely. once i hear one of their tracks for the fifth time, i'm bored with it. i've never heard music with less replay value. and their liveact was even more commercial and much cheesier than astrix.
  14. +2 couldn't agree more, i would buy that one for sure.
  15. sounds good. especially goasia and cosmic silence. i'm not sure if that is something positive. i'd rather have a strong kick and a weak bass than the other way round.
  16. as no one answered yet, i'll give another hint: so you might want to look in a different direction in your quest for the artist's name.
  17. ok. the place in goa that track is named after is rather to the north of goa and the artist is known for producing acid trance/techno and ambient, although many tracks qualify as goa trance.
  18. which artist loosely associated with goa trance has released a track named after a place in goa, that consists mainly of the sounds of a motorcycle with a barking dog and people talking in the background? i hope that isn't too difficult, so that the threads does gain some momentum again.
  19. not bad, but that fractal in the middle has been my desktop picture for years
