don't dare even thinking about making a party with those, when i don't have time to drive 10+ hours to be there
-
thanks, definitely better than the version on the cd which totally lacks bass and sounds quite flat compared to this one. but i kinda liked the distorted sound of the higher synths on suncokreti...

Filteria - Sky Input when it came out i thought it was horrible and i didn't like filteria at all until i heard the samples for daze of our lives. i got daze, liked it very much and started to appreciate sky input. after seeing him live, i'm in love with all three albums. Doof - Lets Turn On (especially double dragons) i found the whole album boring and nothing special (double dragons even more boring than the rest). but one night while chilling, double dragons came on and i thought: wow that track is pure genius, how could i not have noticed that until now! Pleiadians - IFO at first it was quite boring, but it still slowly gets better with every listen and now i would rate it as one of the best albums (after D5 of course ).

Cosmosis - Fumbling for the Funky Frequency
Padmapani replied to a topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
psytrance is called "goa" in the whole german language area. if you say "psytrance" (correct pronounciation with the "p") almost anyone will look at you as if you were speaking an alien (of the extraterrestrial kind ) tounge. -
Hunab-Ku - Magik Universe it does need some decent re-mastering though.
-
of course ambient is boring without "boom-boom"! seriously, i can't get into any beatless amient. breakbeats are fine and 4/4 kick is better, but with beatless i just fall asleep or get nervous waiting for the kick.

Cosmosis - Fumbling for the Funky Frequency

i find the album to be quite good psytrance - better than the last one - with some definite goa influences (the eternal now!). bass or guitars fit in quite well and he preserved his distinct "funky" style. (a distinct style is what a lot of producers gave up to make completely generic fullon; i'm looking at you, talamasca!). i like the direction cosmosis is moving with this release. -
no, it's not. that can't be him. obviously shakta has been posessed by an evil spirit that finds pleasure in depriving the world of good music
-
i really enjoyed talamsca's zodiac album (example for good fullon. there's better, but it's still a good album with the distinct 'talamasca style'), but i saw them live last friday. their perfomance was completely generic isreali fullon that was 100% predictable. even the melody of the bassline was the same with every track. it's boring, generic, cheap fullon like that (+ ultra-cheesy pop-fullon of course) that gives the genre a bad name. (moreover i think that fullon is overrepresented at parties)

same here. but it has already proven to have more replay value than (also great) sundrops for me.
-
daze without a doubt. i hardly listened to filteria until daze, but now i like all 3 of his albums. i finally saw him play live 2 days ago
-
is that intentional or does he really look like a goat?
-
Look Here you can find one on the back and three more spaceships inside
-
don't you have one of those pentagon shaped spaceships with a huge yin-yang on it? it's much faster than the elevator! i got one of those
-
i know i suck in photoshop, but i couldn't resist

i voted for virtual spirit, but it was very hard to decide between that one and infinitism. anno domini is probably the weakest chi-ad album, but still a good one. pathfinder really is a strange track. if i listen to it when in a good mood it's a laid back nice flowing track, but if i listen when in a bad mood, it sounds like total despair. there is something special about most chi-ad tracks...

D5 fanclub? where can i apply?
-
the cylindrical ones? i never liked those. i always use the cones. with those you can choose how far and tightly you put them in and regulate the volume that way. i also find the softer texture of the cones much better. softer and far less scratchy. but maybe we have different brands of each...

i didn't know that mwnn has remixed orange theme. that's got to be an interesting one...
-
actually i find that one much better than the original (which itself is still quite good) worse than original astral projection - mahadeva (96 rmx) crop circles - lunar civilization (pleiadians rmx) shakta - lepton head 3 (nolax rmx) transwave - the rezwalker (london live mix) better than original slinky wizard - lunar juice (hallucinogen moon strudel rmx) man with no name - teleport (2000 rmx) crop circles - full mental jackpot (pleiadians rmx) crop circles - lunar civ. (filteria rmx) total eclipse - free lemonade (psychaos rmx) s-range - test tones (chromosome rmx)

i have to wait 2 months more. this year on 30.5. filteria will be playing at a festival here. i believe it's the first time people in austria have the chance to hear some newschool at a party...

Cosmic Silence - "Dark Nebula" for free
Padmapani replied to Cosmic Silence's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
it's a very good track. it's on my current cd for the car right now looking forward to the album. -
http://www.suntriprecords.com/release/cat/SUNCD14/ doesn't work in safari 4 ("unexpected error occured"). it works in firefox but still doesn't play. absolutely.
-
the samples in fact reminded me a lot of birds lingva franca, which is imo by far the best filteria track. i wasn't too excited about sky input or helipolis, but this one is going to be great. i can't wait!
-
off topic, but i'd really like to see their album re-released with decent mastering.
