stop it guys. i get psiarrhea from these kinds of discussions.

that was not a lot of patience required for the first question. your link to the samples on soundcloud has already confirmed it this surely gives me hope that the second part will take less than the six years we had to wait for artha's second album

i always thought planking was this activity [source]. if we can agree on that defintion then count me in. though i think you guys are going to lose the challenge. i can do that not only for seconds but for hours on the sofa.
-
isn't it flipout the dolphin (voodoo edit)? it definitely isn't in the hands of the shaman (i have never noticed that these two are almost identical), which has a much shorter outro than the track in the mix.

tracklist sounds interesting. anything that includes unicorn has to be good i just rediscovered this one, though it's more of a guilty pleasure with that cheesy singing; it's still beautiful

fav exercise and only exercise. physical activity (except dancing to electronic music) is not only uncomfortable but also repetitive and boring. i have better things to do with my time. if you want to give me an exercise i'll do voluntarily, it will have to involve mathematics instead of physical activity

ftfy i have experience with peugeot/citroën and honda. the former are better looking, more comfortable but had to be repaired every few months (especially the citroën had lots of software problems and would sometimes only go 30km/h for no reason at all because the software thought there was a fault in the motor when in reality everything was fine). i have my honda for over 8 years now and it runs as if it was new. the only times when i go to the workshop is for the yearly checkup required by law. if it breaks down some time, i'll definitely get another honda. they are cheaper than toyotas and qualitatively equally good. at the festivals i am always surprised how many eastern bloc cars are still around. there are also quite a few ddr trabis still on the roads. if comfort/safety was no issue i would probably get one of those cars simply because of the durability .

Young German people seem to listen goa trance

over here electro is short for electro house. i now wanted to link to a youtube video here with electro house, but i couldn't find one without a stupid thumbnail, so i'll leave you with the youtube search. apparently the clothing or lack of clothing is the most important and unifying element about this genre, and not the music. anyway, i haven't heard much about electro in the last few years. was it just a fad that disappears as quickly as it came, probably even faster than dubstep? -
the samples posted by imba sound way too darkpsy-influenced to me to be uk psytrance (thus making it twilight imho). i'd say typical uk psytrance is something like this: fullon that lacks melodies, is fully effect driven but doesn't sound like darkpsy at all.
-
i'd call it twilight. but it's too twilighty for my taste. i'll rather have night fullon.
-
human blue is swedish? i thought he was from israel then i guess i'll have to replace s-range on my list with human blue.
-
no filteria? my top 5 from sweden (in no particular order) would be: logic bomb hux flux filteria miranda s-range.

of course. there's also the point about recessive traits coming to the foreground and leading to disabled children when closely related people get children. but that's not applicable here. also newer research showed that the problem isn't as bad as originally though. for instance cousins don't have a statistically measurable increase in risk for hereditary diseases (marriage of cousins is also allowed over here, though occurs pretty seldom. the social stigma is stronger than the law.) i can absolutely believe that. i think many of our laws are even older (we exist as a "modern" state for a much longer time). additionally, as far as i know (i'm by far no expert in law) most of our civil laws are based on the civil laws of the roman empire . some of it should be pretty obvious things, but i'm sure there are also plenty of ridiculous outdated things to be found. i just looked into our online law database. the currently valid version of our "general civil law code" apparently is from 1812, some parts of it use archaic spelling and talk about the austrian monarchy (which stopped existing 100 years ago).

sounds good. especially the first half.

to be honest, most of the time i don't really notice it when other people do it. when just reading forums i don't read the posts that critically, so my brain extracts the meaning without me noticing the mistakes . i only get upset when i see it happening in one of my own posts (when someone quotes me. i don't proofread)

no. i am saying where there's no harm, there should be no prohibition. don't force your own morals upon other people. if the son/daughter is an adult he/she can decide for them what to do with their life. if i would want to marry my own son/daughter (if i had one) is completely irrelevant. i also don't want to do bodybuilding, boxing or to inject heroin. i wouldn't want to do either and find those activities pretty pointless or even stupid. but i think that everyone should be allowed to do these things if they like. it's their life. in the same way, it is just the business of two consenting adults what they do with each other. it should be none of mine and none of your business. if you come with the argument "it's sick, it's disgusting, it isn't right" you impose your own moral standards on them. by exactly the same reasoning homosexuality was considered a sin and was made illegal in the past (it still is in some countries. india, which for most other things has very modern legislation, comes to mind).

i don't think it's a condition, but just someone who pauses typing to think and then is too lazy to read what is already there and just continues typing. i don't think it's a condition, but just someone who pauses typing to think and then is too lazy to read what is already there and just continues typing. i don't think it's a condition, but just someone who pauses typing to think and then is too lazy to read what is already there and just continues typing.

your list already looks pretty good and representative (for up to the early 2000s). for the further evolution, although they are not necessarily the best, i would recommend looking into gms, astrix, absolum and talamasca. they should give you a good overview of early fullon (with some of them showing the evolution fron goa to psytrance to fullon). gms and talamasca also show how fullon became cheesy and boring while astrix' discography shows how the focus shifted from fullon to progressive in later years. for a negative example on the complete sell-out of a part of the fullon artists, electro sun is just perfect. tristan's music also shows goa->psytrance/psytek->fullon->"nano"-style fullon for the line that goes from goa trance to progressive, the definitive artist is human blue. tripticon/ticon might also be of interest here. and for old progressive -> new progressive gaudium should be pretty representative. you can fill in some blanks with prisoners of the sun, ace ventura and liquid soul. for newschool goa i'd recommend the whole suntrip catalogue if it hadn't become quite unwieldy over the years so i think the compilations show the evolution adequately — especially if you fill up the blanks with the albums of filteria, khetzal, ra and artifact303. also don't forget artha.

progressive is nice, as long as it's really progressive psytrance (for instance human blue, e-clip, lyctum, gaudium, ...) and not some other non-psy genre of music that just gets called "psytrance" in order to play it at psy parties (for instance captain hook, ritmo, d-nox&beckers, ...) of course prog is not the kind of music i like to hear between 00:00 and 06:00, but darkpsy isn't either... for dancing a little in the heat of the afternoon at a festival progressive is perfect. you can dance in a relaxed way, saving your energies for the night (when they would hopefully play goa trance or (psychedelic) fullon). fullon or goa in the afternoon is a waste. you have to go crazy to that sort of music. and this is better done at night when it's dark, when the decoration and lights can have their full effect and when it's cool enough to exhaust yourself. having the main acts play in the afternoon is something is something i'd expect from a children's birthday party, but not a psytrance party. back on topic: i think progressive is now of lower quality, simply because its the latest hype. every me-too artist makes prog now. the good thing about this is that the percentage of of fullon which is good is actually acceptable again

they're not hurting anyone, nor are they going to get (retarded) children with each other. both are adults. i don't see the problem.

Ra - Earthcall (Suntrip Records) - SUNCD43

nice! finally! but i have to say that the samples don't meet my unrealistically high expectations. this is not going to be another 9th, imho the vibe and sound is much closer to to sirius, which though an excellent album isn't quite as spectacular.
