  1. i'll have to disagree here. there are some really good parts and compared to today's standards it's awesome, but still there are too many overdone cheap tricks inside (the nth drop to kick+bass, triplets just for the sake of it, ...) so after listening to the whole thing i can only call it "ok".
  2. that's the landscape up there: ulgy, isn't it? it's just hills (most with a farmhouse on top) as far as the eye can see, which isn't very far at all. i certainly was also involved back then. as far as i remember you were a bit upset that i preferred the hungarian puszta to the mountains in your bulgarian mountains thread i don't mind discussing landscape again, although we're definitely offtopic in this thread, but whatever
  3. we've had the landscape discussion before and i still prefer more or less flat landscapes (mountains are ok if they keep a distance). so the alpenvorland is fine with me, but i'd rather not live in a town just a bit south like gmunden with the mountains on your doorstep or in the intensely ugly landscape north of the danube, where there's no flat space at all. austria is a decent place, laid back for western/central europe, but i hate the conservate mindset. regarding climate, i would ideally drop one of those cities in a tropical landscape somewhere in southeast asia
  4. as soon as i have my degree, i'll be moving to a nicer place. but certainly not kärnten or salzburg. the best places to live in austria imho are linz and graz. there you have all the advantages of living in the city (everything's nearby, anonymity when you want it, ...) without the disadvantages of vienna (it takes you forever to go anywhere in the city, it's grey and depressing, you have anonymity whether you want it or not, ...)
  5. that's 1000€ per month. yikes, well, fuck the rates for an apartment in vienna. if you can't get one of the subsidiarised flats, it's almost impossible to pay below 500€. and for a nice apartment (that's not in those old buildings that raise your heating bill above the rent) you'll rather have to calculate with 800€. that's almost double of what you pay anywhere else in austria.
  6. "Typical White Person #2" with the resemblance to our most famous right wing politician he looks at least as evil as the one on the left
  7. मेरी हिन्दी न्ह्जोह्येन्न्रो की हिन्दी लगभग के रूप में अच्छा हैं। that means i had to look up words and it's probably still full of grammatical errors @rotwang you finally changed your avatar! the last one has always reminded me of (a young) jörg haider.
  8. no wonder. neelix is the guy who brags about writing tracks from start to finish in 3 hours. in that sort of timeframe he cannot do anythine else than mindlessly stitching together some vengeance samples into the same boring formula.
  9. couldn't agree more. but that's also why i didn't mention it. it's unpleasant rather than boring. hm... that's difficult to say. every time i have to listen to that generic fullon/progressive (really is there still a difference anymore? both are slower than fullon and both consist just of the same sounds from the same old sample cds) i'd rather prefer hitech and the other way round so why do we even bother with psy anymore. j/k i have to say that serbian style prog was actually quite decent 2-3 years ago. not mindblowing, but imho the closest to what fullon used to be...
  10. i guess you've been at the wrong festivals. i enjoy them a lot sober if the music is good. could also be that you've been to the "wrong" areas on the dancefloor. i've noticed that on every huge festival, there are sort of hotspots, where every single person would be out of their minds
  11. i'd agree. but only because recent fullon is often nauseating rather than boring. but at least it doesn't use exactly the same fm lead in every single track like post-2006 darkpsy/psycore
  12. there are definitely some goodies on that disc. x meets y - quartz got a lot of playtime here this past winter.
  13. we have the offtopic area for all kinds of such topics. but he most active thread in there is the seventh instance of "why is the forum inactive again"... these days we have temperatures over 30 degrees for the first time in this year over here, so i'm obviously spending a most of my spare time outside instead of in front of a computer.
  14. on the other hand converting people from "regular" psy to goa trance can be easy if they take psychedelics. i've once played khetzal and d5 to two tripping people and it was like a revelation to them
  15. i sure hope so earplugs are always a good idea. but i'd rather use them to tone down the highs a bit so i can get closer to where the bass comes from
  16. that's something i'd love to hear but why leave out the remaining 9 minutes? ime it's also extremely hard to mix acid air raid with goa, but then again my talent for djing is pretty much non-existant... another good one would be the intro of this one:
  17. it was only a matter of time until i arrived at 99%, so count me in
  18. DJ Basilisk - Moonshadow for techy psytrance/psytek. Cyphonic - Reversing Reality (Part 1) for night fullon. some dj set of Schippe at Fullmoon Festival (i have no idea which year (maybe 2003?) and also can't find it in the net anymore) for morning fullon. DJ Searcher - Alpha Centauri for Darkpsy (yes, there is one whole set of darkpsy that i actually like ) for goa it's difficult. the ones i find particularly good are: Anoebis - Warm Blanket MAOi - Stream Enterer Elysium - My Vision of Trance (Part 1) i can't find links for most of them, but at least the goa mixes should be in the dj section of psynews...
  19. an obvious candidate would be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peE0NvF1SS0 but i'm also very fond of (especially suited of course for a german speaking audience) :
  20. most... actually pretty much all of my friends like psytrance (though some prefer other kinds of music). still i'm the only one who's really interested in new releases and that kind of stuff - therefore at festivals i'm also the guy who studies the timetables and who gets to decide when to go dancing and when to chill at the tent
  21. seems to be fake to me, but sure looks nice
  22. tbh, i like the original better than the one with richpa's fonts . (the style imho rather fits a forest in the background rather than outer space) the more people comment here, the more completely different opinions you are going to hear
  23. i think both are nice. having the moon+weed on the cover is fun because it's such an obvious choice for moonweed
