don't worry about goa sounding creepy to you now. i guess most of us started with the more accessible psytrance. astral projection, mwnn and infected mushroom were a common introduction back in the day. now it's more music like liquid soul, neelix, gms, astrix.... some more (partly fullon-influenced) progressive you might like: protonica, mindwave, etic, human blue.
-
that would be awesome. my fingers are crossed. uptempo or downtempo? (please say both )
-
agreed. and the first and third track have that layered kick that's become so popular in more commercial electronic music atm. even if the rest of the music is psy, it still reminds me of electro house... it's a decent album that stands out from the loads of crap fullon releases, but not one of logic bomb's best. my favourite lb track is still drop out
-
ace ventura is progressive, bizarre contact, cosmosis, x&i and astrix are fullon. mwnn is 95% goa (the more accessible kind). i imagine you'd like neelix (prog), liquid soul (prog), gms, alien project, u-recken, atma, protoculture, talamasca (older releases) and stuff like that (all fullon). for "easy listening" goa try astral projection, goasia, transwave, ra, artifact303... btw: the first day is one of the worst mwnn tracks, along with seratonin sunrise. try teleport or lunar cycle instead!

so basically it's sped up melodic psytrance just pitch up something like electric universe - you decide, or artha - bali or something, to somewhere around 170bpm! try it

or look into this mixtape (with tracklist). you're almost certain to find something you like: there are some really nice tracks in this topic, dnb has to be hard, fast and agressive!
-
i'm not up to date in dnb, but the most agressive ones i know are definitely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VoV3vUxnoo and

if you like sensient-style progressive, you have to check out onionbrain. -
such things happen occasionally to artists and aren't always intentional. one of my early tracks contains exactly the same melody as talamasca's time simulation (using a similar lead sound), a fact which i only noticed after the whole thing was finished

Ezel Ebed is back with 2 GOA releases
Padmapani replied to Penzoline's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
the first one is too much nitzho for me, but the second samples sound really nice, even though the track title (and the cover imho) are indeed horrible -
E-Mantra - Pathfinder (SUNCD23) - Suntrip Records
Padmapani replied to mars's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
it does sound nice, but imho doesn't work well on the dancefloor. the bass comes too long after the click, but maybe it's also the fault of the crappy soundsystem i heard in on, a few months back when you were playing in vienna . and it doesn't matter much to me, i'll hear the track a thounsand times more often at home than on the dancefloor anyway, nice album with the unique e-mantra style (astral projection? not remotely similar to me...) and i'm looking forward to it. -
i doesn't sound spectacular to me now, but there's nothing to worry still; filterias music only becomes great after repeated listening, so i'm really looking forward to this my favourite now is dreams under construction.
-
i totally agree on GMS getting old soon. astral projection stuff (despite being the reason i got into goa trance) also becomes boring with repeated listening (still, AP tracks need a lot more repeating than GMS ). koxbox and imho also filteria definitely become better, the more you listen to them.
-
not something i'd usually listen to at home, but i'm sure it's great on the dancefloor
-
but hopefully in a hypnotic way like the album version and not too glitched to dance like during their ozora performance. i also wouldn't mind id they made something in the style of psycho activity or panic in paradise, but that's not going to happen...

have we had this one before?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ9s9DgJE7s i guess it should come pretty close.
