  1. it might as well be the original version (so the youtube video maybe shows the "between the beach..." mix). i've found the mix featuring the track on ektoplazm (and discogs). both tracklists just say "the light - dusk"
  2. The Light - Dusk but it seems to be a different version than the ones on youtube. i guess it is the "Between the Beach & the City Mix". i've been searching for it myself after i heard it on a mixtape, but haven't found the right version yet :-\
  3. you might want to look at "trip back from the sun" on a compilation named "tree of life". it's essentially that.
  4. good to hear that koxbox has taken a u-turn after his fullon album with the same name and gotten back to produce highly psychedelic psytrance
  5. yup. i'll be one of them. i'm quite impressed how good the version of cyclone in your heart on temple of chaos sounds compared to the mp3 version. i have no doubt, that it will be similar with this album.
  6. at a festival i was recently at one time the music at the chillout (some downtempo trance like aes dana was playing) had higher bpm than the main floor (minimal playing there). that's truly fucked up @topic when i first discovered psy i was totally into darkpsy (well, into that was called darkpsy back then, which was quite a bit more agreeable than darkpsy nowadays) because i was in a "faster and harder = better" mindset as i mainly listened to acid tekno/hardtekno/darkstep before. over time i've come to appreciate fullon, progressive and of course goa. fullon has fallen a bit out of favour with me since (as you'd expect ) and i can't stand darkpsy anymore.
  7. no worries, some of the old ones are actually quite good. especially goa-getter IX still gets regular playtime
  8. a favourite of mine. not quite up to radioactive rain or orange acid, but one of the best tim schuldt tracks.
  9. seconded. i think you'd need to work on the kick and bass. they could use more low end imo. (they sound a bit )
  10. he just has a similar name. the anoebis from suntrip is still "Anoebis" on here.
  11. posting a video like that is cruel! ozora is still almost 2 months away!
  12. i've just listened through my favourite tracks again, but i still have no idea. there's no way to answer this without mentioning at very least 5 tracks.
  13. yep. making music is about fun. it's no competition. with every track you make you gain experience, ideas and techniques for future works, even if the track is rubbish in hindsight and if you make a habit of finishing your track it becomes easier to do so and you'll rarely end up with a half-finished one.
  14. me likes. nice dark (and still melodic! ), atmospheric piece of music. true psytrance the only thing is that the bass pattern gets a bit on my nerves after some time...
  15. most of the time i simply use logic's noise gate. for more sophisticated gating ultrabeat is nice. ( 's a nice tutorial on how to do some cool things with ultrabeat as gate.)
  16. Shakta&Moonweed - Micronesia alternatively either one of these: D5-Deep Space 5D Astral Projection - Mahadeva Miranda - Gnocchi keep it simple
  17. this will be a sacrilege to some, but in all honesty i must say that i find this better than twisted. still the cover is truly horrible...
  18. plasma has been a long term favourite of mine. it's a shame that they didn't make more music in that style...
  19. ah, we interpreted the topic differently. i thought it was about the most insane music regardless of genre. so frank zappa may still have a place in this thread for rock music they're definitely one of the more insane artists. and they make good music; i'd really have loved them if i had discovered them back when i was into that kind of music. yup, agruing what's the most inane is pointless. one can only state their opinion, it's all subjective after all...
