  1. Battlestar was fucking ace. The last season is love or hate mostly, but I found it good.
  2. Not usually interested in full-on but, eh, I'll give this a go.
  3. Found it locally for cheap so why not
  4. There's just something about this release. For me, I found it boring, kind of minimal, at first. That was back when I was being saturated with more ultra-melodic and straightforward music. I didn't really get the beauty of Alien Protein until I got my latest set of headphones to be honest. I did like it, but wasn't still really too interesting. The revelation I finally had was about the textures and depth. The texturing in this album is magnificent, rich, alien. The atmosphere is so mysterious, somewhat dark, the sounds are smoothly quirky, minimal and alien. Little details just around every corner, extremely well composed. The aural imaginary is definitely alien and of course subjective, but I find myself wondering the halls of the Pleiadean mothership, Etnica. The inner workings, but it is only a fraction of the whole. How did they come about, how long have they been, how many of there are, what are their goals and such remain a mystery. And the laid-backish atmosphere of the whole thing has a flavour of innocence to it, since we do not know really anything yet, we cannot predict. By the end of it, it seems to indicate that humans have some knowledge that an alien race exists and we are finding the need to prepare for the inevitable counter, whether it'll be peaceful or not. Now even if you would expect, not all the tracks survived the time, I find Party Droid and Z-Plane Sunrise a tad cheesy at times because of some of the sounds coupled with the kind of melodies. Otherwise the other tracks on this album are great, extremely well textured, interesting upbeat tracks and the two downtempo one's are of the same quality. I think the phrase "Alien Opera" is perfect for this release. It does not hold the massive power of the Pleiadian sound, but instead it's even more alien and more interesting in it's own way. If only I could dwell into their mindset while they were creating this back in 95 or so. It was really something never-before-seen. Classical Goa-trance. A must have for every collector.
  5. Bought 2 CDs from him. Packaged well, nothing broken, quality as described. Great seller!
  6. I caved in and spend the money required to own this masterpiece, probably ending up the only CD I'll ever spend that much on. +1 for dragonfly
  7. Javelin version And... Wow nice deal
  8. Saikosounds, beatspace, psyshop for modern releases and discogs for old school with inflated prices.
  9. I copied it just fine with EAC on my hdd.
  10. I Savastano also belongs here, really good atmospheric acid goa tunes. Never released a main album either, just a handful of tracks on comps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4L5dqCn4ww Well it certainly would be cool if he could produce new old school style tracks
  11. It seems that psyshop is a bit of a hit and miss service. Either it's just fine or if something goes wrong, it's pretty damn bad.
  12. I'm personally pretty damn interested in hearing what are these older acts who are making new stuff?
  13. Well it took a while for me to actually properly listen to this. I first downloaded it when it came out and listened to the intro and impossible mirage, which I had heard before actaully. Then I later on I listened to it but I wasn't really in the mindset and I thought it sounded cool, but it was never heading anywhere. Then after I really was into the mood of something darker, I put Scythe Of Orion playing and oh my, what is this? Some of the most thickest atmospheres ever that my ears have graced. There is absolutely no problem with the sounds being so very computery where they lack depth and substance, every part of this album has so much atmosphere that it's ridinculous. The way I can describe this album is epic, dark, sci-fi/cyberpunk, spacey and twisted atmospheric psychedelic trance with some slight genre-crossovers, coupled with basslines that actually tend to lean towards goatrance imo. No cheesy sharp kicks here, the basslines are effin fat. Just the layering alone is what makes this album shine through every other release. The textures are so rich, the layers are many and the twists found in the tracks are freaking amazing, just look up transmitters 4:43 key change, holy god. Every track is a ride of it's own but the album as a whole is a journey, nothing feels disconnected. I will even go ahead and say that this album truly rivals the vividness of the aural imaginary of the very best, like Project Genesis, Transdimensional and Tetrahedron to name a few. But nothing surprised me more on this album than the very last track. It is HUGE, it is MASSIVE. It has so much density in it's dark cyberpunk atmosphere that I can't really even begin to describe. The revving, the dark guitar, the twisted echoing atmosphere. Cybernetika just keeps getting better, it really is ridiculous what this guy can do. I'd love to get some insight on how he makes this stuff, it really is visionary. Modern Psytrance evolved. Btw cocco what happened to the school grading?
  14. Well it is pretty hard to make that transition after witnessing the depth and complexity of old school goatrance. Full-on and the likes are just so shallow, boring, predictable, cheesy when compared and on top of it all, hardly psychedelic. This album is close to being the epitome of that complexity and depth in goatrance. Just listen to Ceralogy, the amount of layers is ridiculous. Sometimes it just randomly hits me what a feat it was to get this thing released. It was a crime that people couldn't hear these tracks back in the 90s. If it had been released in 98 and this thing had a normal review thread, it would be easily over 5 pages and would be hailed as undeniably a goatrance classic by many. Also I would guess the price would be through the roof. Draeke you fukken rock.
  15. That is very cool!
  16. I'll get this on my next order from beatspace/saiko.
  17. How does it work, exactly? And no I don't use it. The prices of my phones will never exceed 100e or so lol.
  18. Antares album is called Exodus as well Cool news though!
  19. Well I didn't see that one coming..
  20. Mint copy of Finally the psychaos tracks are mine! One of the best comps ever. And these 3 sealed.
  21. If only buying out of print / second hand records would give the industry anything. And yes I do realize I'm replying to a post from 2002. Now why'd you go and do this, draeke?
  22. Me too.. Area51 There's something about Total Eclipse sound. I would have probably thought it's very cheesy when I wasn't into goa, but now it's sort of vintage if you will. I really enjoy it.
