What music are you listening to right now?
Penzoline replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
ManMadeMan - Trancesiva -
Yes! Manmademan too, I was super disappointed with all of their albums, but the compilation tracks were just like in psychaos's case. Bangers, with growling sounds! Hex EP, Delirium, Kraton 3 and of course the Tristan collaborations Julz and William. Awesome tracks.

I see you are improving, the only negatives I can say is still the overall production. Not all of the sounds flow perfectly, especially the start sounds kinda disjointed imo. Otherwise the darkness is awesome and I really like how you developed a style of your own. I also like it isn't 100% of SA style and does indeed have goa touch in it. Makes it more interesting.

Yeah I can understand that, it's still a shame. Great music needs great mastering! Ancient Race is such a tune.

As I've been listening and researching more and more, I'm finding myself interested in different artists that I never knew of and I've found 2 balls to the walls amazing artists that I have not seen much talk about. They made their debuts too late and in relation to that, their style had gone too far from what made them great in the first place with them. The tracks that had the magic were released with EP's or Comp tracks. Psychaos is the first one. Joti Sidhu, his name is probably very known, but there has been hardly any talk about just how amazing his old school style was. Pretty much everything he released on comps pre-99 was kickass, extremely dark, powerful, unique, mind-bending and twisted goa-trance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbinEnNGDW0 Other notables are Psychochemical Age, Keyboard Widow, Dense Dawn, Chaos To Order, Soundbeams, Acidica, S.E.T.I., Psychaos and the ever legenedary Free Lemonade remix. All of these tracks are just magnificent, seriously should be as talked about as for example the most known etnica tracks. Oh and he did collaborate with etnica on that note. They apparently made a track as Etnichaos and that is a pretty damn good tune that never got released, shame. Draeke take note. Then there's another called Nervasystem. His album was pretty bad, and hardly had anything to do with goatrance, but all the compilation tracks, just massive acid work! His music is full of that old school soul that you can't find nowadays. He also released an album with an artist called aether but of course it turns out what they released before the album was also, again, simply better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiZbCkqht68 Other notables, Venussian Illusion, Decoder, Stardust, Formasi Voices, Beyond Molecule 25. God it's just strikes me as odd that they didn't release main albums with the quality of these tunes. Psychaos debut was OK, but it was far too minimal-like whereas his compilation tracks just beat the crap out of those with the immense amounts of power, and Nervasystem was just some weird mix of things.. You got any compilation favourites from the old ones?

Just great flow, atmosphere, sounds, depth. You still got it.

Gah. The fact that this is mastered like most UAF releases is really a shame. The volume level is around +30% less when compared to just about everything else. I have heard the Reactor Of Life on that radio mix and the mastering on that is just so much better, really bringing much more out of the sounds Sky uses.

NHJO carols 2010 are a must http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?/topic/60159-my-2010-carol-released/ Merry christmas everyone If, somehow, that would be released with a couple of other NHJO Christmas songs as physical EP, I'd buy it.

I'm sorry I skipped that one. I've never said/implied that I wouldn't understand other people's dislike to music I like. I just found your claim so hyperbolic and over the top, that I don't think you can respond otherwise.

Problem is this.

I just wanna mention the follow-up that happened with my purchase of Silicon Trip. After the initial purchase I never received a thing, I messaged the seller, he never, ever, responded. I filed a paypal claim and got refunded now with the message "cd lost" but I have no idea was this comment the sellers or paypals. I hope to god I won't have these situations anymore, 6 orders on discogs and already 1 mess up like this... bleh.

MGF is god here? The hell is MGF? My Girl Farts? And what "new awaken forum" are you referring to? And hope you don't mind me asking but do you actually have solid proof it was MFG that started nitzhonot? afaik MFG has hardly anything to do with Nitzho. Only the prophecy has some stronger israeli melodies but it's nothing, and I mean nothing, compared to real nitzho. God you sound so fucking jaded every time you make a new post. Negativity only. The only reason you are having bad experiences when posting here, or anywhere else for that matter, is your own damn attitude.

VA - Dancing Mavka (LGCD04)

It's now dec 22.. ??? -
Indeed, I was. You guys need avatars so I can tell whos post is whos as it often seems its the one and same guy when hastily thinking.. And it is very true. Neogoa needs more darkness and detail/depth instead of just massive good melodies and float the song from the beginning to the end. Old school had such richer texturing and depth. It's like the two were seperated. Neogoa has the good melodies and basslines(!!!) whereas psytrance has the random effects and texturing and a hard kick. Both sound rather shallow when seperated. Especially psytrance. It's now just random computer generated sounds everywhere imo.. And let's not start with the mainstream casual crap cheesy melodies that have no substance what-so-ever.. Full-on..

What are you talking about laughing to dunes? I was laughing at d2k2. It's not a bad track but Astral's prime is no more. They make nice music but it's nothing like it used to be.

You have the internet where you can find the whole albums quite easily.. what more do you need? You're missing out on the classics..
-
I have one too

MFG is just perfection. Rattling sounds(The best), unprecedented power, amazing atmospheres. I even own the trilogy whereas I still only own the best Astral album which is TIT3. I think Astral is tad too forceful and melancholic at times, even though the melodies and atmospheres are fantastic, but MFG feels more deeper, detailed and storytelling. Astral Projection is amazing but I'm definitely going to say MFG. I didn't even like MFG before, but after listening to Project Genesis and understanding it(very much like what happened with IFO), everything changed. I even started finding the first two albums great and inevitably amazing. The atmosphere on Project Genesis is one of the, or if not THE, strongest sci-fi atmospheres found in goatrance. It rivals Crop Circles. Just listen to On Mars. Fucking epic sci-fi experience. My favourite MFG track. Or one of the most amazing climax from a break in a track of all time(6:18), it gets me everytime, can't help myself but to move. This is what inspiration is made of. Sheer power. Or how about that rattling goodness? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZRzUOB4i8Q And don't forget the insanely amazing closing tracks on the first 3 albums. Slower MFG style so rich in style. Ps I'm ignoring MFG - The Message and onwards and Astral Projection - Another World and onwards. lol

What music are you listening to right now?
Penzoline replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Just awesome, I haven't generally liked MWNN much but this track is blazing. -
No it hasn't, it's been 37 days since payment, 32 days since 'alleged' shipment. This also wasn't far away, from Netherlands to Finland. I've sent him 3 messages on different days without any response. I've decided to open a dispute on paypal(45 days since payment is the limit if buyer wants to open a dispute) if I haven't received it till this friday. Thanks for replying dude.
