  1. It's such a huge improvement over Patience For Heaven. The sound of this album is really powerful and absolutely crystal clear. Lovely, lovely sound design and (mostly) great melodies. Melodramadelic, Beyond The Illusion, Zygote, Tears Of Goddess and Photosynthesis are such insanely driving, beautiful melodic tracks that just hit the right notes. Absolutely what I was looking for after the track on Aurora Sidera. Mental Processor was almost there but it loses it's drive by being too monotonic toward the end. The rest are good tracks too, but they all have a thing or two about them that doesn't lift them to greater heights like the aforementioned tracks. Now then, where is Mental Triplex 2? The unreleased tracks on Mindspheres live sets are something to behold. Also please, for the love of god, release Mindsphere - Mindphoria!
  2. Bom Shankar to the above poster. This album is slowly growing even bigger to my ears. Lot's of things going around in the tracks. At first I felt it only had maybe 3-4 great tracks but right now the only track I don't think is up to par is first track. The last remix I think is good, but would have rather seen something more original as the original is perfect already. Otherwise it's really stellar music. I really, really hope the next endeavors will have better layer seperation and breathing room, because the atmosphere could benefit from it greatly. Definitely worth adding to any collection and the fact it's darker Goa is a big big plus!
  3. Really powerful stuff if you can digest the sound. It can get very annoying, the sound is so piercing. Kind of reminds me of the newest Crossing Mind, it's just so frantic and doesn't give a crap. Tyche Planet is great.
  4. When the first synth lead appears in the whole album mang... So good. I agree, although he has many tracks that avoid this pitfall. However you never get to notice that in the live sets, honestly..
  5. More clear sounding remaster of this can be found on bandcamp. For all those who haven't, do check it out! https://ubartmar.bandcamp.com/album/eigou-kaiki-remaster-edition It's not cheap but this is a typical price for a japanese music release.
  6. Of course good. Cydonia is great. Just listen to this, the resemblance is striking.
  7. 1 Realignment 6:11 2 Apparition (Ghost Mix) 7:09 3 Essence Of Aether 7:43 4 Spectral Light 8:13 So, psynews missed this one? It was available on Chi-ads website in 2006 as a digital EP. The fact nobody has discussed it must either mean nobody noticed, or that it wasn't good. It was good. It is good. What you get is 4 chi-ad tracks that fit somewhere between the production style of Eyes Of Gaia, but melodies and atmosphere of Anno Domini. There is a very fat, deep rumbling groovy bassline from the very first track that sets the tone for the rest of the EP. Expect really dense, jungle like atmospheres. Can't find any huge in your face melodies here, rather more subtle melodies that carry throughout the tracks. And although the first track is pretty melody barren, it has a kind of fast house type of style with goa sounds. What I enjoyed about this EP was that it was so smooth. The groove and flow are impeccable and the dark nightish atmosphere just picks you up right from the get go. Apparition (Ghost Mix)
  8. That last track is pure Cydonia. I cannot tell the difference.

    RA - Unearthly

I was very surprised to hear so many cheesy / boring melodies on this album. Tracks 5 6 7 and 8 just make me sleepy, the little that is interesting is consumed by the average melody work. The rest are pretty good, especially Rain No Water and Shift are definitely the RA quality you'd expect, but that's not saying much since it's basically 3/7 tracks that are good. I found it really average, which is unfortunate because the uptempo albums chiller tracks are really good. I mean I see where they were going for here, it's a little reminiscent of Vangelis, or older synth music, but it just doesn't pull it off in an interesting way to me - so the more RA sounding tracks are much better.
  10. Tbh that Chaotic-Om is worth getting this alone. Baffled that it was never released in it's original form.
  11. The text makes it sound like it's.. well, drone ambient, which it's not. There's beats everywhere. It sounds more like what we've heard already on the downtempo albums. And the last track is breakbeat. And I liked all of the tracks, it's good stuff - the breakbeat one is especially very interesting. Sky Technology had a breakbeat track too on Colors Of Goa 2, so maybe a psybreaks compilation might happen in the future? ..but where's the ambient?
  12. Very very solid compilation. It's so solid I'm a little surprised I can't consider it an essential, yet at least. The general sound is unfortunately a bit samey throughout and I found a few fillers, but the one's that are not(which is most), are really good. Edit: Pretty much half of this album is fantastic. Asmik, Ohm Mind & Proxeeus, Jaraluca, Arcane Voice and Ephedra are stellar tracks.
  13. Well, there's plenty of unreleased Artha tracks so who knows if something might happen sooner than 6 years
  14. Good luck with this project! It's definitely a bang for the buck.
  15. Semper fi is also this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semper_fidelis
  16. I liked X997. Dark repetitious foresty acid. The others were kinda bland. Weird release.
  17. https://www.psydb.net/ was a database that had information on most tracks but it's not longer updated. Psytance should have it's own wiki page that could cover things like these, it would be helpful to a lot people I'd imagine. Anyone have time to make one?
  18. I've had this feeling too. Like I said there are many musical qualities here that are absolutely great. It's very frantic scifi warp-speed goa and with some equalizing it sounds pretty good too. The default soundstage is just not great which is a shame.
  19. A bunch of unreleased goodies. Mindsphere is ascending to another level with some of these tracks. Just stunning, beautiful work. https://soundcloud.com/mindsphereproject/mindsphere-live-old-is-gold-19-24092016-belgium
  20. Great dark goa. The only tracks that are a bit iffy are Insekure and maybe Drug Slut, but otherwise it's a fantastic album in the realm of dark goa. The atmospheres and melodies are very memorable. Overlooked for sure. "The Link" is one my favourite downtempo goa works ever.
