  1. It's a good mix actually. Some good tunes in there, though it's not wholly dubstep.
  2. You're telling me a person cannot learn to like something? Really? Comprehension of a subject matter is, indeed, a key to understanding.
  3. I would think it has something to do with the ability to listen and process all the layers, too. It just so happens, I also disliked Pleiadians at the beginning. And lest we forget to majority of the people Goa sounds like "boom boom boom" when they first listen to it.
  4. Here's another super cheeZe track that I wish to post on this thread. Just listen to those disgusting vocals!
  5. Well I wouldn't mind having a unique psynews custom skin but I never learned to do templates.
  6. Well I would argue the whole process of creation changes when you compare software to hardware production. That alone ought to change the approach to music making. Better or worse? Well that's subjective, but something to keep in mind.
  7. How about next time you explain more throughly what you want to discuss, yeah?
  8. Haha that's a good point. Let's see how it is. Also dat flier art is damn nice.
  9. I actually had some time with freeform myself. There's a nice label in finland that caters to it https://soundcloud.com/finrg-recordings There were some psychedelic tunes I heard myself but I can't remember much of it. Alek Szahala had some goa vibes in his tunes tho. The only problem I find in this genre is the melodies toward the end seem to always climax as uplifting rather than keep it full power. It's pretty annoying how cheesy it usually sounds.
  10. Damn I had that on repeat for 10 times. What a CHOON! SWOOSH!
  11. The TIP head just doesn't get old. I need to get one of them T's.
  12. Yeah I don't know why I implied it's the exact same. I'd like to see more contributions to this thread, this stuff is interesting!
  13. Isn't Omnivox kind of the modern version of it? At least some of it.
  14. Damn it's like you stepping on the one who's helping you.
  15. Well the Mind Rewind compilations have done some magic, that's the kind of treatment I would love to hear.
  16. I'm not saying all the tracks (by any means) on the albums sound bad but tracks like Ion Tribe, Silicon Trip, Open Mind and Why? definitely could sound a lot better than what they do now. Just refresh the whole package, you get the tracks that sound good still good and the tracks that sound worse much better. Yes I am not confusing the musicality of it to the lack of punch in audio quality. Remastering those tracks wouldn't change what's great about it, just make them sound better, more accurate, give some of the layers that little breathing room they need imho. In a track like sunshine the layers feel like they are starting to overlap and clip with each others, all the sounds get stuck together, it just makes for a messy unappealing sound. It does help musically the album is a monster but damn give me some remasters and I'd throw all them dollars at it. I mean this could just be preference but I'd love to see what they would sound with a remaster. They hardly get rotation on my playlists because of the fact I am not so keen on how they sound while I like the musical parts. Then again I avoid tinny albums regardless. Refer to "nool sonrg" from Somaton. I think the remaster breathes new life to it, though unfortunately it seems to have panning issues with a layer and I got no idea how they missed that.
  17. I know this discussion has happened before but I couldn't find any recent threads for the specific requests. What albums do you think would benefit the most from a remaster? Be it availability or sound quality. I for one don't care as much for remasters for the sake of getting a new print batch anymore, but damn if some of the old school stuff has a flat sound for todays standard. I'll start with the most obvious. Pleiadians - IFO is in dire need for a remaster. After those Etnica remasters I can only imagine what kind of a sound can be pulled out of this album. It's a timeless classic but it really doesn't sound up to par when it comes to audio quality. Another is Somaton and Shakta. Some tracks like Ion Tribe just sound terrible. After hearing the remastered Somaton - Nool Sonrg on Mind Rewind 2 I can only imagine how much better the debut albums of these acts would sound. MFG - Project Genesis. Absolutely a stellar album that has some of the muddiest sound I've heard. There's plenty of old school that sounds great to this day and there is also tons of remastered albums already, but no reason to stop there! Some of this brilliant music needs a second life.
  18. Why wasn't the Total Eclipse track on MR2!? What a tune.
