  1. I laughed when I read that. Electronic music requires vague or ironic melodies. Man that's gold.
  2. Yeah I still haven't found it. Thanks, hope he remembers. And yeah it's the one @ 4:20
  3. Top 5? Are you insayan? I excluded multiple tracks from same artist for the sake of variance, I also tried to look for several styles, it's really hard to put so many great tracks in such short list when they all offer different things, and weighting them all the same is simply apples to oranges. New school has a lot of average stuff, but there are a considerable amount of classics, just like in old school. It's interesting to note it's easier to forget the average stuff of old school. I want to put so many more here but I'll just stick to the five, even if I don't want to. I also know I forgot something during thinking of this and the list is subject to change at any point in time, though generally these are the upmost best new goa has offered thus far - along with many more. Filteria - Operation Pulse, technically it may not be the best of filteria, but there are many, many reasons it's here. The most perfect intro since Maia on IFO? Why, yes. It is the representation of what Filteria is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBmkQiBKfBk M-Run - Goat Man, speaking of technicalities Merr0w - Pixelized Sight, edge of space is the limit of merr0ws potential. Citrus Circus may as well be here, but this track came first and I heavily feel like it was never appreciated the way it should have been, the power is very much alike, but many years earlier and with more interesting sounds - I also am a sucker for this type of rattling acid sound. I disliked the half-remix found on the Born Underwater album, because it didn't need one! Sky Technology - Reactor of life, the climax melody is beyond comprehension and the smooth sound ices the cake. Technically it can fall short compared to many others, but it makes up for everything with the passion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgeGEl7er-U Goasia - Dancing With The Blue Spirit, this track in particular accentuates the masterful lovely organic goa sound with trance-like melodies perfectly. I literally feel the love the track was made with. Edit: Man I hate this, I specifically added the music as links, but upon editing it decided to give me the middle finger... I like your style
  4. Mugen remix is fantastic, they really enhanced the atmosphere and remade it properly for 2013 standards. No full-on bassline! What has the world come to?
  5. The production is great (PharaOM keeps getting better!!!) and reminds me of mindsphere/Lost buddha! I just think the extra long outros are something I haven't gotten used to, the tracks fade out so slowly compared to most goa and it's bugging me a lot even though the content is fantastic.
  6. I added the tracklist on first post. I'm curious, looks like the tracklist changed since I last saw it!
  7. I actually cannot believe this thread even exists. Radi are you blind?
  8. Son Nefes. Son Nefes. SON NEFES! How'd you decide to release it after all this time?
  9. Ahh Intense Visitation totally intact and the mastering sounds perfect. Thanks for choosing colin.
  10. Granted, TEN came out 11 years ago. It's a good remix, but I can't say much else because it's just that, a remix of a classic track. There's still a long way to go.
  11. Yep yep. Last samples sound wicked too. I've been waiting for this style to come back!
  12. I for one have enjoyed all of the new stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTC93WR55E0
  13. I am not. I do not associate fireworks with anything negative in my life nor do I perceive them as threatening to my well-being. My firework memories base around childhood joy, not much else.
  14. Every new album it felt like Filteria was ahead of the curve and so it continues with the latest one. The production is generally better than the rest of goa at the time it comes out I feel. I'm glad he went back to the roots and dropped the mid-tempo style. I would agree that he is ahead of the curve, leading edge, but not as much as you seem to perceive it. There's plenty of releases that have very notable tracks and top of the line production. The only thing holding him back in my eyes is the fact you can find all these similarities with old school tracks, and sometimes they're a little too apparent.
  15. You're still doing this? Please stop. Just. Please. Stop.
  16. Reading back on what I wrote 2 years ago, I really can't disagree with it, however one track became a favourite afterwards - Dansul Ielelor (Neurosect Edit 2011). I believe originally I disliked the fact it was a remix and just shunned it to the side, not really paying attention too much, but listening the track on and off in different situations, I found it to be quite mature. There's some great acid subtleties and the stronger bass really drive the little details forward with good pacing. On that note Valley Of The kings has unfortunately started to wear off a little bit for me. Now to end this with something I should have said a long time ago; Distant Signals is a damned masterpiece! The whole way it's structured is perfection. The drive toward the beautiful emotional melodies is ever-changing, with incredible finesse to the details and brilliant build-ups. Absolutely adore this track.
  17. Hey nhjo, did you ever hook up?
