Um.. What's wrong with "Amithaba"/Felipe?
Penzoline replied to Shpongled247's topic in General Psytrance
Actually I just noticed that yeah, hes talking about cancer because mars is suffering through it. Honestly that's just too fucking much. What a sad excuse for a human being. -

Well you should see this coming miles away ever since the Metapsychical incident(Basically he killed the label for no good reason). I also did see some of those acid driven posts from him (here and elsewhere). It's sad but there's a line that you shouldn't cross and he's done it too many times. Maybe it's a cry for help maybe not. -
Pandemonium - For Funs Sake

Damn that pans ice cream remix is old but gold. I take it most of these are quite old? -
It would be really nice to have such good friendly love-our-customer business practices more often. These days it just feels like throwing money at a thing and receiving the item like it came from a robotized production line. Not very involving or caring. Then again there's time and money constrictions that make up big part of it being like that, but still - It's the little things.

Ok I've taken the liberty of cleaning trashy posts and reminding you all, yes radi even you, to play nice. Let's remember that this is a psytrance forum and just outright lashing out on it will not net you positive views from fellow forum goers. And as it is a psy forum, we will also have less members suggesting less genres just in general because we serve a niche in the first place, you want another niche you might wanna check out other various sources than just this forum.

I highly dislike digipaks because they will wear over time way too easily. Limited copies though I don't mind since they are nice for the collector souls that treat them well.

TIME WARP RECORDS new Goa label!

Oh cool some initiative being done here! Looking forward to it. -
I just finished Breaking Bad Season 4. I'm considering to not watch S05 because I feel like the ending wraps things up so damn well. Amazing series, really.

You hung up on it, I'm using the word as an explonatory term to express a feeling, I guess? How else am I to say this one sounds flat and that one sounds, well, more detailed, richer, colourful, fun, smooth? Oh, I guess I can use those too. Excuse my poor choice of words.

My ears are fine. Just listen to Erta Ale and come back to this. The difference is night and day. Surely there's a matter of opinion, too, but if you wish to tell me Erta Ale and this have no difference? Hah. But if you were referring to technical slumber of music.. you got me there. I go by what I hear, thus I try my best to use wording that connotates with that. Whatever the case is, this could sound much better - and it did, on Erta Alé. I did forget to mention some tracks sound better than others but overall it's just not up to par. I'll dwelve into the music itself on a later date with a review.

No matter how you look at it. Like or dislike CD1; doesn't matter. It's Inner Cyclone remastered. That's a reason enough to just buy it and that's that. Now I could dwelve into CD1 but I must admit, I don't feel like writing something prolonged right now so that'll have to wait.

Safe to say this'll end up a classic, no doubt. Lovely release.

A full reviewnever written by meh? A shame! Joking aside, good album? Hmm, yes. Underrated? Yes, a little. The production is refreshing and some of these melodies are really beautiful. It's a little interesting how he can pull the most dark and warped melodies like in Citrus Circus or Pixelized Sight but also manages to pull out heavenly beautiful melodies like in Poseidon Lullaby. It is also a big thing to note that the underwater feeling is immensely done. Sure you can look at the cover and track names and go by those alone imagining these tracks, but the actual way they represent themselves feel very oceany, even without massively oblivious wet acid sounds all over the place. Not everything is perfect, no, but the great tracks, notably Born Underwater, Aquarius, Mind Blowing, Poseidon Lullaby are just fantastical. Rise Up To The Sun and the ender are good as well. The others are still nice but not as memorable or convincing(Pleiades is basically a remix of Pixelized Sight, but the latter is far better; thus I ignore it.) Don't forget about it.

Mrun and cronomi. I absolutely adore and love your musical talent, don't think otherwise. But.. Where was colin? I'm sorry but this has been a huge problem for me ever since the release. Where was the icing on the cake? Sure the cake is tasty and all, but it lacks that top flavour that makes it spark. It's not here. No matter how amazing you are at writing music, if you are not a masterer with many, many albums under you, it just won't be as good. This mastering is not bad, but it's also flat. The explosive colourfullness, deepness and richness of Erta Alé are gone. You traded a little bit of money for mastering that won't survive through the ages. You have it all there except.. that. The highs and lows just merge with so much of the mids. And the mids are all on the same level no matter. I'll buy an OOOD master version for 50 euros. Digital only, even.

All labels take a note. This is not how you do mastering. If you want to ruin tracks, do it on your own, do not bring fans - or as some would prefer; consumers to the fray. Oh and apparently the label, and so far, 2 artists (Ra, RD), had some problems with payments? Disgusting.

Really I think the only problem this album ended up having was the tracks selected for the EP were better than several here. I rather have those Classics like DNA and Astral Body here than there. Especially DNA, what was the thought-process of not involving the BIGGEST Artha track ever in the main album? A little iffy, I must say.
