Shpongle 3 - Nothing lasts but nothing is lost
PsikotriP replied to MattMan's topic in General Psytrance
They announced it quite a while ago, they cut down the track and there are tons of tracks on the album that are like 3 minutes each. Different Shpongle = Different rules -
If someone could figure it out it would be pretty cool hehe:P
-
I'd add Luciana on the boring tracks. I don't even call it a track it's just a mix of bits of music they created for other tracks that ended up together.
-
I would also nominate Boards of Canada Even if they have not been here as long as most of the previously mentionned artists, they have pretty much added a whole new meaning to electronica. Their really relaxed style that seems like a dream is super intelligent with all sorts of sounds moving everywhere. The duo from Scotland is also what appeals to this group. They are two person living in a very remote place, their music gives a whole new feeling that is rarely given in a track. I'd recommend Geogaddi and Music as a right to children.
-
I really like them too. As for a new album, I've heard rumors that they are supposed to release something this year, that would be pretty good. Especially after Geoaddi:) Long life to David Koresh!

I agree with you, this cd is probably one of the best ambiant cd ever. It's not well known but there is so much exploration and craziness in it. 9.9/10
-
If your in London you should head to Camden Town on Sunadays. Look for the Natraj Dream Theatre or something like that. All you'll ever need in psy-trance is there
-
I so totally agree with you: Orb - Live 93 Is probably a very understimated masterpiece. All of his greatest tracks are on that cd and it's really well mixed. This is a must and is equal to Shpongle but very different and a lot more ambiant.
-
I believe the sound has also been remastered.

PsikotriP replied to asian_bud_nation's topic in General Psytrance
TIn old times we use to chat on mirc and listen collectivly to albums! The chatroom idea should be made for real! -
It's actually the second time they postpone it. So this date might be the right one ( hopefully)

Your Favorite Simon Posford Album
PsikotriP replied to Frontier Psychiatrist's topic in General Psytrance
Same here.... I'd vote for at least 3 or 4 on this! -
On a more serious note yo might want to check out Hallucinogen - Jiggle of the sphinx
-
DJ Sakins.... PWOUAHAHAHA
-
I can't seem to open the file cause it says there is an error
-
Just call it music or psy-trance lol
-
When it comes to unreleased stuff I think that there shoudn't be a problème with downloading it off the internet. It's the only way you can listen to it hehe. Anyway I don't want to start another pro/con mp3 downloading thread but still, if there is a track that you really wish to listen to and the web seems like the only issue. Go for it hehe.
-
Can't wait for this album!!! Only funny thing is that the CD is called Labyrinth and they haven't put the their track called labyrinth on it lol.
-
I also thought the early material was much better than the new stuff... The long never ending journey through space and time in songs like Tower of Dub or An ever growing pulsating brain that rules from the center of the ultraworld, are just what defines the orb sound. It's like travelling distances and weird but nice places. The new albums don't have this trippy aspect to them... just my opinon lol And if Dr. Alex Paterson is a doctor, in what did he get his degree?
-
Good day to you all. I was just wondering. Is Dr. Alex Paterson a real doctor or is it just his name? None the less his music is excellent and I recommend it to everyone especially the live 93 cd and adventure beyond th ultra world.
-
Toi Doi is also pretty fast.
-
I have the album and it's pretty good but don't expect some normal goa cd with a regular kick and everything. On the second cd there is singing and it's not very psytranceish... None the less it's very good but very different so you might want to listen to it at least once before buying and make sure you like the style.
