Thanks for your help, but I think that my soundcard isn´t configured right, cause I still can´t record my midi-materials

hi, I am doing my first steps in cubase at the moment, but I have a main problem at the moment. It is really a beginner´s problem, but it would be nice if someone posts me. I would like to use a Drumcomputer, at the moment the native instruments battery to create my midi-structure. But I can´t listen my midi in the track and it doesn´t appear in the audio-activity window, yust in midi-activity window. A friend told me that the reason for this problem is the connection between input and output bus, but I don´t remember the place to connect them.
