  1. Yes it's strange, some Chi-A.D. tracks are really not that good. I guess it would be the mixing rather than the mastering, but if you compare Infinitism with Virtual Spirit, that's a day and night difference almost. Virtual Spirit is so beautiful, dynamic and detailed..
  2. If you see it that way. But talent =/= a 'Godly' personality I think. Half of these guys could be arrogant assholes, creating some trance arrangements won't change that.
  3. "Gods"... I smell another war between fanboys coming up!
  4. Indeed, there's a difference between goa trance artists playing on festivals, and the actual music itself. As I recall it, newschool goa labels resurrected 10 years ago as a counter reaction to the boring prog and full on music. But right now I feel that most goa trance releases these days aren't 'new' or refreshing, and have become just as plain and generic as the music it used to 'fight' against. You see it with almost every new producer coming up: the music is just so easy, so digital and flat. There's no challenge in the sound; artists don't challenge themselves it seems. To me, the third wave still has to come. But the future's bright!
  5. Well not that you shouldn't have a different taste of course. But it's also one of their more known trance tracks.
  6. So you don't like Axis V0.99 too? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km4J_Gixe-k
  7. Hahaha funny, people don't recognise one of the best trance tracks of Astral Projection, maybe you guys are not one of the best fans after all huh?
  8. There's always something that people forget to mention: the maximum price.
  9. I think this is one of the most brutal live shows I've seen on youtube, Tom Araya's screams are so awesome:
  10. That sounds like a guitar actually. Jaia's and Transwave's first song sound the same in that aspect so it's maybe the same sample.
  11. All-right! 1. Lapsus - Normality 2. Javi & SkoOma - Enchanted Alchemy 3. Radioactive Sandwich - Sound Vibration Technique 4. Psysutra - Solsdead 5. Imba - Moon Tribe 6. Exelization - Neurotrip 7. Sound Yantra - Emptiness Talking to Me 8. Phobium - Klavierlektionen 9. Paul Eye & Olisan - Daikaisho 10. Colour Dotz - Scape forward A side-note: how much I encourage that the mastering will be done with respect for dynamics (as stated in an other topic), I hope that the mastering engineer will receive uncompressed versions of the songs? Because some artists have their tracks online with an ugly limiter on top of it, it sounds awful. (...and I still think voting for yourself is trés Eurovision Song Contest-like, =] )
  12. Those tracklists keep on being my cup of tea, looking forward to this!
  13. Hahaha what a fantastic title, I'm downloading it at the moment!
  14. Looks good indeed, but from what I've heard it sounds a bit mediocre. Hope to hear some more of the drumbox though, looks interesting.
  15. He did actually, I went to the ISAM show in Brussels 2 years ago. It was fantastic!
  16. Then let us bring back reason to solve this matter: anyone who votes for himself is a giant turd sandwich!
  17. Its not just about hum or distortion, latency is also a factor, number of inputs and outputs, AD/DA-conversion, MIDI, ... It all depends on what your price range and requirements are.
  18. Well, if that's your thing, so be it. But don't call it dynamic. Dynamic is life, dynamic is softness and impact - imagine if somebody is YELLING WITH EVERYTHING HE SAYS, IN THE SAME MONOTONE VOICE. YOU DON'T HAVE IMPACT NO MORE. YOU DON'T HAVE LOUD PARTS NO MORE. YOU DON'T HAVE NO SPOTS TO REST. Just imagine that. Dynamics is about going up and down - you can't have that if everything is highly compressed and all the parts sound as loud as anywhere else. I really can't understand that you can't be pro for that.. Listen to classical music, and imagine a crescendo is as loud as a climax. Luckily, there are some things changing in the audio world, people who are fed up with that (in broadcast, music, ..). I'd take a look here: http://www.stereophile.com/content/winning-loudness-wars. I can give you tons of more links if you like, but if you like your music squashed and/or distorted then never mind.
