  1. Me too! I also had a great time, very cool, layed-back party with moments with a lot of energy - very nice combination Great to see people dancing to this kind of music. Nice sets btw! Can you tell the last 2 tracks you've played?
  2. Au contraire, mon ami. If you've used to create high energy-music, immense powerful stuff, and then you make something complete the opposite... Then yeah, you're going to lose some fans. On the other hand, after years of creating the same stuff, you want to try something different as an artist. And you've got to admit, the early full on/psytrance sounds great and had lots of potential, until the bad boys came in and TOOK OUR MUSIC *South Park reference*! Haha. You know what I mean. But I guess money is indeed a big factor.
  3. Yes I remember a video of Etnica playing at a festival, it was pretty short but so good; if I remember it correctly Trip Tonite was playing. Some guy with long dark hair was behind the DJ booth, with some nice ravin' dance moves. Can't find it anymore though!
  4. Some recent ones (makes me happy every time I see them ) the "yeah!" at 0:21 is so cool The energy at this party was just.. bliss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKAkE5-9e4E&feature=PlayList&p=D06D20B39535C3A4&index=2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1Dd_-0ZFtU&feature=PlayList&p=D06D20B39535C3A4&index=0
  5. A shame.. Icon is my favourite 'new' Ra track, even though I don't think it sounds that badly mastered. But I don't own the original version of course.
  6. Hehe, seems the future is bright. Btw, if you're playing this the 5th December in the middle of your set, I'll give you a cookie and some porn! Deal?
  7. Just listened to it again and damn, really nice! This is normally not really my cup of tea but it stays interesting, and that for 10 minutes, impressive Cool sounds and melodies. Are they all coming from the 505 itself or is also a sampler?
  8. I was in my monthly pogostick-mood when I made this one. Doesn't sound like Psyko Disko, but he was definitely an inspiration *amen*. Thought I'd share this with the Psynewsers, so please leave a comment if you (dis)like! http://www.electrobel.be/muzik/26676 -> for Downloading or Listening
  9. - Good use of pads, sounds nice 'n thick. Bird samples sound good too, no low quality here - the kick really sucks :-( needs more low and definitely more mid, but I think the best way to do it is just to create a new one! - bassline needs some work too, but maybe that's just because of the kick, don't know. Can't hear it that well in the parts where there are melodies. - nice melodies and cool story bro'! Nothing really new but that doesn't matter - would like to hear more of such things! = Thumb goes up!
  10. Mine was too. And please, cut the flaming. It's a simple discussion, if it doesn't mean anything to you then those insults really aren't necessary. The only thing I expect from an artist is that he's creating music he likes, and tries to express himself as much as possible. If it sounds like music made a couple of years before, what's the problem? You don't HAVE to like it. By the way, most of the new stuff being released nowadays isn't my cup of tea either - let alone what's being released in the 'evolved' genres like darkpsy and full on.. I kind of agree with this: But that's an other debate than Consciesness'.
  11. Well, there are certain fish and reptiles who exist for up to millions of years actually. ..never thought I'd say that in a newschool-oldschool discussion.
  12. So you consider music that's here for around ±15 years old? And people shouldn't create such music any more just because of that reason? I don't think there's much stuff left for you to hear then, haha.
  13. Hahaha didn't see that until you mentioned it, hilarious!
  14. And me of course. The sexgod of the Western hemisphere. Gettin' jiggy wit it .
  15. Aah, finally! Samples sound promising indeed, I'm looking forward to this one
  16. Well, I agree that there are very few artists who have an original style, or a different approach to goa trance nowadays. And I also think that there isn't much experimenting going on anymore, since a lot of the artists think that long melodies are the only thing that build a goa track (at least that's how I feel and hear it). But it takes time, the whole revival is still going on, people still make music and new artists are still coming up. The golden years may be over, but I prefer quality above quantity
  17. Sounds like you've lost all hope for psychedelic trance
  18. Suntrip shouldn't be held responsible for the whole newschool scene. They say what they do, and they do what they say: reviving melodic (positive) goa trance. It's up to other labels and artists to decide if they want to do the same, or do something different.
  19. Sometimes it is, most of the tracks I own in that kind of style are simple psy-tracks with a boring breakbeat. But here's a goodie: Pan - Murphy (Mrs. O' Leary Mix) http://www.discogs.com/Pan-Murphy/release/343178 Second track is 4/4 though.
  20. For a good analog feel you've got to try Z3ta and sylenth1. Z3ta has some really good presets, like jupiter leads and basses, oldschool pads, .. All you need is there
