  1. maitreya - azure perfect for this time of night
  2. apparently there is a full length vibrasphere downbeat album being released on chillcode sometime in 2006 is your day made or what?
  3. ooooooohhhh, fucking a right great news made my night
  4. to me the beautiful you track along with azriel's downbeat trance piece are standouts from first listens maybe i will do a full review soon p.s. regarding zen's track, i know that the speech at the end has a point behind it, nevertheless it is waaay too long for my taste and ruins the flow a little especially since i do not understand what he is saying (even if i did understand, it would probably get old soon). i really like the piece but the speech sort of ruins it for me.
  5. all the best with this boys thank you for the wonderful music you've been giving us for years and thanks michal for daring to release interesting music only good feelings
  6. Bill Frisell - The Wife and Kid
  7. that was hilarious thanks trancechick see you soon hopefully any plans for upcoming parties?
  8. if you want a proper introduction to (non-minimal sounding) progressive psychedelic trance (not crossover material but more trancy stuff), start with antix-lull vibrasphere - lime structures kooler-open jaia-fiction a lot of variation all 4 cd's very different styles very deep, hypnotic, melodic sublime
  9. samples for the single are available
  10. whatevah it is a beautiful album i mean if the stance here is that electronic music is not music... but then again who gives a shit, call it bacon, and i will say it is really good bacon
  11. was that meant as a joke or are you saying that the album sounds dead? i thought it sounds extremely organic
  12. of bulgarian descent actually, but i dont think he ever lived there
  13. amazing piece of plastic and great artwork too i will paste my stoned post on isratrance here: OK, If you were waiting for another Emotivion, you will not get it here. It is inevitable to compare an artist's sophomore output to that debut, as much as one wants to be openminded. Having said that, Quasga developped into a different area of dub-infused psychedelic chillout here. I would say it is more heady than the first try. I guess deeper territory needed to be explored. Well, mission accomplished, and the music serves as a very worthy guide to those deeper realms. It took me several months to really be able to delve into Emotivision. I guess I was prepared well, because with Efflorescence, I feel well immersed into the music and we will see just how much further it will lead in a couple of months. Efflorescence is not as in your face drenched with dubby sounds nor with pure world fusion. All those elements are still here but appear more subtly. I would say this has more of a tribal trance feel to it without it being "trance" music of course. But hearing this on a rig in some meadow on an afternoon would surely please feet as well heads. Very danceable stuff. Great. As for qualms, while the spoken samples (RAW?) really work and are worked very well into the mix, they might get old after repeated listens. Or maybe they won't, we'll see. Also, didn't feel that the remix of Natti Natti stood up to the rest of the album. The vocals are amazing, but it just didn't reach the same standard as the rest for me. Granted, I am not the biggest fan of Ultimae-sound out there; but I don't think that is it, I just think that our mr. Quasga is better at creating from scratch than remixing. Also, remember how we used to always get those last downbeat numbers on dancefloor albums. Well, we even get an equivalent here. A chillout album that needs something at the end to calm you down. I hope it calmed me down enough to show up at work tomorrow. Choosing favourites is always hard on something of this caliber, especially since sometimes it is really hard to tell when one song ends and another begins (well the first half of the album is that way, the rest is mixed but might have been written separately). But (shit, there's always a but), nomber seven takes the cake for me. Farking really classy. Nothing else to say. Either way, I am getting ahead of myself (and leaving out a bunch because who could remember all those sound scapes that were crafted here). Great album for home listening, for dancing, for tripping (umm, road trips that is). thanks
  14. still digging this immensely
  15. antix - lull matt coldrick & matt hillier - elemental journey: absolute ambient vol. 2
  16. i get really excited when i hear tiny errors in ableton live sets, it tells me that they are improvised. i am actually a huge fan of improvisation, which is why i love 60s jazz so much as for preparing dj sets, sometimes i do not prepare because of laziness, other times, i take some time and listen carefully to my music, this is what i call preparing. once i tried to plan in advance which tracks i would play, i think i played maybe 2 of them. playing in front of an audience and playing a fully planned set, no matter how much better it could be, is extremely boring for me. when i had to give speeches at school, i would also just know really well what i am talking about and wing it, it would work so much better than preparing a text in advance and reciting it by heart.
