Downloading. Maybe I'll try something with this Thanks ! -
Sounds like synthpop, nice one
-
You're welcome now drop tha bass please

You can try this really cool VST : http://www.ismism.de/getbi_e.htm (it's a shareware, but maybe you'll have to find a keygen because the official pay website is down !) You got this small tutorial made by Infected Mush I think too : (He's using soundforge, but you can understand what shape the kick has to get !)
-
Do you have any example ? If you talk about any regular psy kick, it's just the shape of the wave
-
Haha nah I was kidding ! UAF releases sounds always pretty good ( Imbastard) except for my Baron Samdi EP but it was because of my shitty mix
-
Depends dude, just try this one for example : http://www.vst4you.com/pages/vst%20instruments/sts_11.html , sounds better than a bunch of expansive vst
-
Why psyheadz always have to be nerds ?

I understand now why my all my UAF release sounds weak GIPSTAR !!

VST synth for classic goa lead sounds
PharaOm replied to longloststar's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Try Nwbass ! It's a nice 303 clone too. -
In Year of changes for example, the psy leads are too cliché imo. Maybe it's just me, because I don't really enjoy these kind of sounds.. But whatever you can use vst that sounds like natural instruments, it's quite good ! Try here, it's full of good free vst : www.vst4you.com/ So waiting to hear more music from you soon

You have some good skills. I enjoyed Orange sunshine and Enlightenment most ! Just be carefull not to sound too common. About Enlightenment : between 5:44 and 6:37 it seems that the guitar don't fit with the other instruments. But after 6:37, except a little lack of reverb on the guitar imo, it's very nice and original. You should work more with real instruments, it works for you ! Now produce more and more

Is electronic music real music ?
PharaOm replied to PharaOm's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Electronic music is nice to link people during party even if the live "act" is pretty minimal.. Especially for trance, ambient, psychedelic rock, etc. It's nice to see an artist playing "for real" but the music itself is enough most of time to create a special atmosphere in the place. -

So just like in experimental, music may become a concept -

I had the same though, we don't spend years to know how to play an instrument but we restore the balance by trying to understand all of them. But Rotwang is right I think it's all about distinction between performer and composer again ! -

I know free jazz players knows music theory, I just meant they don't play a score So it's all about finding the golden mean again. -

So it's always a good thing to stand back a little from what you are doing, and that's why I created this topic too -
Is electronic music real music ?

I like this idea of we succeed in what we are interested in. For sure our technology is becoming more and more important and I'm curious to know what the future will bring to us for all the creative fields. You talked as a physicist, I can talk as an architecture student. In architecture we use to talk a lot about the digitization and all the virtual spaces and representations. In my opinion electronic music is pretty much concerned as far as there's no physical object that creates the sound (like strings or wind..) -
Is electronic music real music ?

Very interesting ! So if we consider ourselves as composers, do we have to learn music theory to write a tune ? Or is it possible to "feel" the music while compose it, just like for example free jazz players do ? I have to say that I really improved my skills in music when I stopped thinking too much and more tried to feel it... But maybe both are complementary in the end !
