haha, no, the series isn't dead at all, it's alive and still kicking to open your ears for some nice tracks! (info check there: http://www.abella.de/4025905604227/Various...+Vol.21/CD/MUL/ ) I am really satisfied with goa-head, I buy the newest one each christmas and haven't been disappointed in any way. Goa-Head is the only popular compilation series available that did NOT go fullon! The first CD of the new one seriously can rock your livingroom if you're in the mood for it. And the second CD is for progressive likers a good pick. Never have been disappointed by any Goa-Head. Then again, I have only four of them. But I definitely want to get more. Especially the newer ones. This compilation rocks!

Man, this looks absolutely awesome. I like it MUCH better than the first Filteria album cover. And also MUCH better than the one that DP says it refers to. Maan ... I thought I'd not buy another Filteria, as this style is too strong for me, but now I heard that the new album will have a different type of sound and then this cover ... maybe maybe And, mister Lawrance ... according to your arrogant posts concerning this and the other cover topic I assume you must know many many "better" covers than the ones posted here? I'd be curious to actually see some of those...

dude ... this cannot be ... I saw Goa Head 20 in SATURN here! SATURN, THE most commercial store in our country! Where you can find Bravo Hits and Super Dance and whatever shit, there you can find it! Meanwhile Goa Head 21 is out and they got like 10 copies of it in the shelves...

Björn Lynne is one of my favourite artists he has something for everyone from fantasy music over ambient over space music up to psychedelic and he also composed the music to the Worms game series it's good that people on here know him, I didn't expect that

okay, I could be wrong on this, but I think that "feat." means that one famous seperate artist is part of another less recognized project - like CON-Sequencer feat. Milque -> Milque is in Con-Sequencer! And not only for one track but for all the time (meanwhile they killed the "feat. Milque" out of their name because he's a full time member of the project). And the term "vs." means that two equally famous artists got together to do just one track or two - like S-Range vs. Selective Memory ... they only did one track together: "Tricky". On the other hand there's this S-Range feat. Z-Man thing and they also have done just one track Arrrgh, I don't know ... but I think the "feat."-thingy marks, that a famous artist joined a not-so-famous project or somewhat. And maybe it's reverse, that the more famous artist is stated at the beginning and after the feat. there's the less recognized one? And in "vs." they're both equally famous whatever...

guilty pleasures ... yeah, I have some Now it's Carlos Peron - Der Komtur (Kreuzritter I/II) ... anybody remembers as this has been in the charts? Lol, I never listened to it back then but just a week ago I began to totally dig it as I rediscovered it ... that dude that speaks the german vocals has such an AWESOME voice, killarrrgh!!! This summer one has been Papi Sanchez - Enamorame ... I mean, I hate the dude rapping, but I like the chorus. Seriously. I liked that song because of the chick singing the chorus - just from the point of singing, you know, I don't even know how she looks like. The only point is, that it became overplayed by me and now I don't like it so much anymore... Another one is NOFX - Bob ... I hate punk rock or whatever Nofx are, but this song is great: "It's been 15 years gettin' loaded, 15 years until his liver exploded - now what's Bob gonna do now that he can't drink?" ... come on, a song that begins so funny can't be bad can it? Guano Apes I like too ... but only the Don't Give Me Names album ... the reason why is that as I was in Scotland with class they often put this CD in in the bus because we didn't have many other good ones and now when I hear it I get reminded of Scotland... And I like ALL retro stuff, no matter how cheesy it is - but keep in mind: MY retro is NOT what is officially labeled as "retro" ... with retro I mean the music I was into as I have been pre-teen to teen-age and that ranges from Wes - Alane over Vertigo and DJ Quicksilver up to Paul Van Dyk and DJ Tiesto and Mauro Picotto and whatever (yes, you know I have been into that stuff) ... all before the psy era is already retro in a way to me because my mind has developed into another state where this music is not the right one anymore, it's just a reflection of the past. And I like Metal. And a bit of gothic. And a bit of industrial. And medieval ambient. But I would not refer to any of these as "guilty pleasure"...

I never heard of Psynina and I don't give a flat f*ck about if she exists or not ... but if you ask for an opinion then I'd say that maybe the threadstarter is the guy behind the project and put up some pics of his ex girlfriend and now wants to make publicity... And btw, I don't think that an artist who is obviously not well known (since apparently very few people have heard of her) can get such super deals for playing at parties with hotel for free and such... I smell a huge load of bs here ... phewww, actually maybe elephant-shit would match better...

my brother once explained to me why this is possible: those people just earn so much money that for the time they need to find the CD cheaper they would get paid ten times its price when they work for the time instead - so they work and don't seek for the cheap one in their time and so they can afford to pay the price... somewhat like that it works... But I agree, it's fun to watch the auctions when you have one or more CDs for yourself and got them for a bread with butter compared to the prices the people pay there in those auctions And you know what your stuff is potentially worth

oh, Japan ... that is a bit dumb because I don't plan to go there soon But still there is hope: a friend of mine eventually plans a trip there in summer, so maybe he could bring me something? Do you know where the shop is?

I saw them live at the end of 2003 (12th december ) and I must say that their live act was quite enjoyable. Not outstanding, but there's actually nothing bad to say about that really. But you need to take into consideration that this was before the Supervisor... Mind that if they came again to Vienna now I would not go see them!

And besides, I don't even have money anyway to buy it ... and all next month's money is already pre-planned to get spent on the first weekend because of the record fair that is in town, so I'll at least have a lot of otehr stuff to listen to to distract me from that c-... ach, well. You see now why I want it released so bad? I just don't want to be arsed anymore, as I said. When it's released I'll buy it probably some weeks later anyway ... but I just want this arsing around with the release date to stop.

uh oh ... my gosh ... me = f*kknultraidiot; I even have the 12 Moons album. And I thought "wait, I think I have forgotten something" ... hell, 12 Moons is my third favourite scando trance artist and I forget it. How can I? *head shot* But really, this I would recommend! ESPECIALLY the Solid State album ... first and sixth tracks sound very Matenda-ish to me. And overall there is no bad track on the album - except that I don't like the calm part before the last track, this distracts a bit when I'm running to this album. Yep, running to it is absolutely great because the bpm is not too fast, it's ideal for running in the snow under the sun! YAY!

Yes Makyo is one of the best artists for chilled music I know at the moment. I love the warm sounds, it's neither too epic nor too organic nor too melodic, it's nice warm synthesizers with some natural-sounding beat and all that somewhat packed into an arabic-like theme. I LOVE THIS I love the cosy and warm and beautiful sounds, it's so wonderfully calm and relaxing and yet not too calm, it's the ideal music for painting, it puts me into a really appreciable relaxed and a little bit trancy meditative state of mind, I absolutely love it. Wonderful stuff. My favourite songs are Vismaya, Soar Angelic (), Suzhou River and Devadasi (In Dub) ... but I must say that I don't know anything bad of Makyo. And well, now I come here to ask if you know something similar to this. You know, I absolutely love this warm cosy non-disturbing sound (even my friends, who until now hated nearly everything I played to them, like it!) and the calm atmosphere ... I want something with a somewhat similar sound that can bring me in the same states of mind! I only know Padmasana that hits somehow the same spot - but that only because Makyo is in it too - their song Be Where Now could almost be from Makyo himself... So ... has anybody recommendations for me? Please!

Right now I am in this famous situation: I am freacking drunk and don't want to go to sleep and I would - if the OT section would be online - want to read, post, read ... read everysthing on this forum But I won't. I don't have anything against the new rules. Sure it's a bit of an unusual situaton for Psynews didn't have many of them before and many people will not like it indeed ... but I believe they can only do us some good. This place shall not serve as playground for spammers or as fight zone for anybody anymore... And forgive me for sounding a bit rude, but I think a sort of "cleanout" by locking OT and therefore forcing notorious spammers to move to other forums is absolutely not a bad thing. Once when everything has found a new routine (yes, I too have to skip the OT button and yes, it's not easy for I also am psynews (OT-)addicted, but I also will find other things to do than always browsing around in OT - it was nice, but it has to stop now, wasted too much time anyway...) I believe this will become a nice and cosy place again And well, if many long time members also leave the place because they don't want to accept the new rules, I can't change it. It's a pity that they leave, but so be it, I wish them farewell and good luck

I love Matenda If you like Tunnel Vision you should check out his first album, Energy Loader. I actually don't like Tunnel Vision as much as the tracks I know from Energy Loader (don't know the complete album unfortunately ... it's on my wishlist though) ... they are more melodic ... Tunnel Vision was too proggy or somewhat, the only tracks I really love are the first one and Novo Jutro... Also BE SURE to check out Chilling Matenda, his chillout project ... and also in this case I find the first album much better than the second!
