  1. Right now I am in this famous situation: I am freacking drunk and don't want to go to sleep and I would - if the OT section would be online - want to read, post, read ... read everysthing on this forum But I won't. I'll go find another place to spam ... (hey, I can't even be THAT drunk when I realize that ) ... that's exactly what I was talking about in my last post. Gosh, I love you all. I could do it like Moni and go into LUV mode and tell you all how much I like you all ... right now . It's true, I missed all of you guys even though it was only a short time the forum was offline, I never imagined this has actually been affecting my very private life without me realizing or knowing it! And even although privately I have actually nothing to do with you all, that's the funny thing... Anyway, anyway, nevermind. Yes, it's true that maybe people will return one day and post here even though the rules became stricter. It's actually likely, because maybe their relationship to this place is like mine - deeper than they think Anyway, I guess I'll be out of this thread. I made my statement. I don't wanna spam now. I wanna be a good boy So ... thanks again to Mars and everybody involved to having made this forum what it has been in the past. And let's hope it will be a great place in the future too! Skôl! (if it's written like that)
  2. I don't have anything against the new rules. Sure it's a bit of an unusual situaton for Psynews didn't have many of them before and many people will not like it indeed ... but I believe they can only do us some good. This place shall not serve as playground for spammers or as fight zone for anybody anymore... And forgive me for sounding a bit rude, but I think a sort of "cleanout" by locking OT and therefore forcing notorious spammers to move to other forums is absolutely not a bad thing. Once when everything has found a new routine (yes, I too have to skip the OT button and yes, it's not easy for I also am psynews (OT-)addicted, but I also will find other things to do than always browsing around in OT - it was nice, but it has to stop now, wasted too much time anyway...) I believe this will become a nice and cosy place again And well, if many long time members also leave the place because they don't want to accept the new rules, I can't change it. It's a pity that they leave, but so be it, I wish them farewell and good luck
  3. I love Matenda If you like Tunnel Vision you should check out his first album, Energy Loader. I actually don't like Tunnel Vision as much as the tracks I know from Energy Loader (don't know the complete album unfortunately ... it's on my wishlist though) ... they are more melodic ... Tunnel Vision was too proggy or somewhat, the only tracks I really love are the first one and Novo Jutro... Also BE SURE to check out Chilling Matenda, his chillout project ... and also in this case I find the first album much better than the second!
  4. Wow, I didn't expect the forums to be back online so fast! BIG thanks to Mars! We owe you a beer. Each of us
  5. hmmm... I smell bullshit
  6. Wow ... I'm through. It's a very good mix! I actually found the psy tracks really fitting ... they are really well fusioned together with the ambient part ... it doesn't begin "whoosh", the listener is very gently and slowly introduced. Nice! If I wouldn't have known that psy was to come I would not have expected it until to the last tension point. That shows how many faces the actual ambient can have! Very good mix Good night...
  7. listening to it right now while still downloading... I can safely say that I like the beginning (and especially the second song) of this a lot better than that of your first mix ... this one is very nice, the other one was a bit too dark and strange for me for the first quarter of an hour... hehe, such a mix is just what I need at this nightly hour ... I think I'm going to light some incense sticks

    WTF OMG LOL!

hahaha nice concept, I like it I hope Tarantino does not fuk 'em...
  9. Congratulations, you just turned this into a discussion whether psytrance can only be understood when you take drugs to it or not... Anyway, some people on here might not want to realize that there are minds out there who can perform incredibly twisted thoughts even while sober - and not only thoughts, they can also transport the owner into otherworldly states and stuff! I am not denying that psychedelics will most probably intensify the experiences a great deal and can show you wonderful states of mind and existence you haven't dreamt of before ... I don't want to elaborate on that, after all I have never tried them. But I clearly can say that sometimes even my sober mind thinks and twists too much for me so that I don't enjoy it anymore ... I could sometimes need some downers even while sober because my mind is too active and too twisted! Visuals with closed eyelids can be funny, but when dizzyness and panic feelings come to it it's too much for me! And no, I didn't take anything as I had that, I was sober! I leaved that party trembling and sick and lied down immediately as I came home - and already on the way home the feelings began to cease and I began to relax a bit. So now I ask you: would you dare to intensify and amplify the experiences when you sometimes can't even cope with your SOBER states? I don't. Because I think I could risk becoming totally mad at all. I don't care whether you say that I might understand psytrance or not. I for my part think that I understand enough of it. After all, I have seen things that you people wouldn't believe...
  10. DAMN I wasn't at home! ARRRRRRRRRRGHHH!!! Why oh why couldn't you have posted that earlier... Anyway, hope the party was great for everybody who went there (Somebody maybe recorded this broadast?)
  11. That's a great thread! Unfortunately poor Austria doesn't have many psytrance Artists that have a name in the international scene. The only ones I can mention are from Synergetic Records (the only good austrian label I know) - Acan, Freelander and Funky Dragon. You probably know neither of those Oh wait, Entheogenic is half Austrian (one of the two guys is AFAIK)!
  12. RTP

    S-Range

I know, I know The samples weren't THAT brillant either - only two or three good tracks (not all were prelistenable though) ... but still... I'm eagerly awaiting a review

"ANOTHER THEORY CD - S RANGE --> LIQUID RECORDS LRCD02 RELEASE DATE: 25/11/05" http://www.chaosunlimited.co.uk/cgi-bin/pr...t.asp?LR=LRCD02 YEEEEHAW! FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY A RELEASE DATE IS IN SIGHT!!! It's coming, it's coming, it's coming!!! *does a dance* I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT! I think this will be the first album ever that I'm considering to buy online...
  14. definitely Spiral Trax for me... Digital Structures are very close up though! Ultimae is also a great label ... but not on the list...

    .

hyping stuff is one of the last steps before downfall right now fullon seems to boom ... and yes, it booms, but not for very long anymore ... we are already in the phase where the press announcements of the albums try to overpower other press announcements - wizard vs godfather and so on ... soon all will be gone in a big synth fart, that's what I count on... be patient and be rewarded.
  16. S-Range Etnoscope Carbon Based Lifeforms Makyo Matenda Entheogenic Son Kite Ticon Antix Atmos Actually most of the artists I like still make music AFAIK...
  17. FRECK ... I think I need that album
  18. Well, I checked a little and Franke's music is too much classical for me Peter Baumann's stuff I don't know yet. It's funny though that the two and Edgar Froese together are Tangerine Dream ... if you search Gnoosic it spits out Tangerine Dream and all three solo members seperately
  19. Scando Trance = S-Range, Etnoscope (they're fukkin great though the sound is not typical scando), Koxbox/Saiko Pod, 12 Moons, Human Blue, Matenda, Vibrasphere, Atmos, Ticon, Son Kite, Noma, Chromosome ... the list is endless. ...and not to forget Carbon Based Lifeforms!!! I LOVE SCANDO SOUNDS
  20. Well... I looked on Gnoosic and they recommended me (besides some of those above)Christopher Franke, Peter Baumann, Ron Boots and Rainbow Serpent. Are those good recommendations?
  21. Ehm ... we have October ... isn't it a bit early to make a toplist? Because the (for me) potentially best album of 2005 is (hopefully) yet to come! It will be: S-RANGE - ANOTHER THEORY BUT it depends when those freakin' people from liquid will release it at last, gnarrrgh
  22. Well, I really went there today and there were two Klaus Schulze vinyls - Dune and Timewind, but for about 10 Euro each. Not as cheap as I expected, therefore I didn't take them (I don't take stuff that I don't know for that price)... (However, I found a Shiva Chandra - Lunaspice CD in mint condition there ) But that list of old artists I wanna make is not only for that store, there's another reason: in December there will be a big ass record fair, one that's so big you need more than one full day to see all vinyls they sell there - at least last time there were freaking tons of them. And I was so fucking lost there last time ... I absolutely need a big list of artists to look for, because when you haven't got something like that in your head you can spend weeks there...
  23. Oh wow, thanks! I knew Bahamut could help me out I guess I'll go hunting for some stuff!
  24. So ... there is this vinyl store which sells used vinyl for a really cheap price, but the point is, all the cheap ones are pretty old, older than me, probably vinyl collections found in attics or basements during a house cleanout or something (they all smell of basement, lol ). And I have hardly any experience with artists of the 80s or late 70s or early 90s as I was a small child back then. Point is, there for sure are some gems hidden in the collection (I already found Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene special club edition for 2 freaked euros ) and several other Mike Oldfield and Jarre stuff. Really nice. But now my question is, aren't there any good other artists? I mean, I can't always dig for Oldfield or Jarre, one day there won't be any vinyls of them anymore, you know? My question now is, do you know any artists that have released vinyls in the late 70s or 80s or early 90s that could be of interest to somebody that likes the modern ambient of today (I'm not saying psy as I don't think I'll find anything really psy there)? Artists like Jean Michel Jarre (perfect), Mike Oldfield (already a bit too many vocals, but still good) or something like that? New Age can count too ... but please not too classical... Please, I need your help.
  25. actually not I also have a pair of AKG K55 ones ... but those are for the vinyl player in the other room
