  1. Banco De Gaia - Lai-Lah (Eat Static Kitchen Sink Remix) Also a very good track ... although it reminds me of Shpongle (because of the voices) and I hate Shpongle, but I still like that track
  2. "Hit and Run" lol yeah, that's what people should do to him SKAZI RELEASES A DVD! SO RUN! RUN! RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!
  3. GREAT THREAD! *applauses* I didn't know Tiamat made such a cool track ... checked it out and it's really good The stuff I can recommend isn't much ... the only music I know that has much similarity to psy sometimes is industrial. Frontline Assembly would be a good band to check out in this direction. When you're in a blue mood, check out one of the newer albums of Ulver - a band that evolved from black metal to depressive synth chillout Darkwave music has also some similarities to psy sometimes ... Blutengel, Flesh Field, Assemblage 23, some Wolfsheim ... it just depends where you draw the border...
  4. good observation. (with metal it's the same btw... no black blackmetallers (at least none that I know of ... but you really get some respect from me if you are able to name a black blackmetaller!)...) anyway ... it might be dependent on the repetitiveness and unfunkyness of the psy music indeed so that not many of the black people can connect with it spiritually. At least it sounds probable. I for example can't connect with jazz. It's just randomn noise to me. Still I truly admire jazz musicans for being the masters of that (to me) chaos. And - oh wonder - jazz is a musical genre where black people are present very much ... it "swings", it's funky ... it's more connected to their lifestyle! I can't connect with that I confess, I am not funky but nervous/euphoric/happy/depressive, bun nothing that would connect with jazz music. And as I won't be able to connect with jazz jazz people won't be able to connect with psy. Just an example...
  5. yes, yes ... Bluetech is very nice stuff ... I really enjoyed Prima Mateira, it was for me especially good for late night painting or such things I guess I'll have to listen to that "Leaving Winter Behind"-track ... but I'm gonna do that in spring

    Sungirl

After you checked that picture, Moni, you'll maybe think different. Yes, the eigth pic is the "hoorible sungirl picture" NT referred to...
  7. wtf were they thinking? minilogue -> skazi -> son kite? That's just plain dumb. I mean, even if they let perform fullon and prog artists on the same floor (which is already a bit folly if you ask me, but anyway), how dumb can somebody be to organize the party like that? Skazi in betwen? WTF? Idiots. I would have said that you look at the plan and just come to the party when Son Kite and Minilogue play and then go home when skazi comes, but in this case it's senseless advice...
  8. MATENDA! (and I'm not talking of the chilling one here) I enjoyed Tunnel Vision. A really nice album. And what I heard of energy Loader I also was really fond of However, Andromeda is very very close!
  9. What the hell were they thinking? A 4 track CD for the price of a full album? They deserve to get a kick in the ass ... a CD with 4 tracks on it is classified as MCD! As MCD, you fucks! And an MCD is priced a little above a single, normally. Well, normally ... this is IM and they have become one of the biggest commercial and sellout artists in our psy world, so I better should leave out this word "normally", because this is the exception anyway. I wonder who's going to buy that crap.
  10. (note: my top tens can change as fast as the tides ... I like so many tracks it's nearly impossible to pick out the ten best ones, it always depends on the mood ... sometimes you can only find metal in that list, seriously) So... For tension: 1. S-Range - Welcome To Paradise 2. Etnoscope - Fast Licking 3. Etic - Last Tune 4. Quantum State - Natural Born Idiots 5. Mittelstandskinder Ohne Strom - Fire For relaxation: 1. Makyo - Vismaya 2. Banco De Gaia - Obsidian 3. Matenda - No Return 4. Carbon Based Lifeforms - Or Plan B 5. Entheogenic - Aranyanyara
  11. Hmmm... I am not so much into dark ambient right now (winter is not here yet), but the stuff is too little spheric for me, it's just sounds dark in a way to me, you know ... and that's not enough, I'm not a fan of that, I'd probably sleep off, I like dark ambient music better that's not so minimal, one that can transport you, this one can't do it with me ... a little maybe, but not totally...
  12. Oh my goth! I just reallized I forgot to list a wonderfully marvellous tune, one that hits the spot as precise as Benares or King Size Rizzla: Jean Michel Jarre - C'est La Vie This one is amazing More like that PLEASE! And ... oh damn! I just realized Natacha Atlas sings those vocals! Damn damn damn, please, isn't there another song like that, Natacha herself has beautiful voice, but her own songs are too calm, this stuff has much more power and that's exactly what I'm looking for!
  13. The tracklist looked very promising, I downloaded it and am listening to it right now! Really good stuff I must say ... it was exactly what I wanted right now, no psy madness but a bit of nice progressive with much stuff that I didn't have heard before ... I like it very much
  14. Me too And I hope I'll never listen to any in the future. I fear the next party
  15. With this line I agree (not with the second one though). I also can't think of any real psychedelic pessimistic/depressive tracks ... and that's a good thing, because I listen to this music when I want to feel good and not bad. I mean, maybe you might want to try Noma - Another Time ... you could like that, but I don't think it's pessimistic as you want it, it's more like beautifully melancholic I could name more really pessimistic songs, but they're other genres...
  16. I don't know if Muskaria is closed or not ... and I have not been there as I have been to Barcelona, but the adress should be: Calle Arai 9, 08002 Barcelona (oops, Mars, I see you even have that in the "Goa Shops"-section on your site, so maybe that's not of much help )
  17. haha, yeah, you were the guy that was calling it a masterpiece But indeed, it is a masterpiece when the atmosphere is right. In fact it's not the first time I had an experience like that (meaning that my playlist was playing through and that I discover a piece of music which is totally marvellous but never was that special under other circumstances) ... but they occur pretty rarely with me and it's always great for me when I make such a discovery
  18. Okay, so let me tell you ... there is this tune by Optic Eye called "Anacoluthon" ... there were people saying it's really good and stuff ... well, I'm always interested in Ambient and I got myself the tune, but I didn't find it very good to be honest. But now, it's already a quarter past one in the night, I'm fucking tired and should sleep for I have studies tomorrow, now that my eyes begin to develop rings underneath them and my mind is numb and the lemongrass incense is tiring my thoughts ... now this tune is GENIOUS! Man ... what a metamorphosis. I got it now. Ambient, true ambient ... that's music for such moments ... drifting mind ... wonderful
  19. oooh nooo see, we got without the cinema ... but we got into the stores
  20. No, Raytalin ... I don't think the black metal Aes Dana has anything to do with the psy-ambient one The ambient Aes Dana everybody knows here is acually Vincent Villius. The black metal Aes Dana are six other people ... look here: http://aesdana.free.fr/english_frame.html But I find it really cool that there is a black metal Aes Dana ... didn't know that until you said it ... lol, I want a shirt ... an Aes Dana shirt ... LOL, that would be cool
  21. Makyo is very good too ... if you like it less organic

Oh yeeeah, thank you very much ... to get such information was actually the purpose of me creating this thread Thanks, thanks! You know, I'm waiting since a very long time already for this album ... and there was no better information than the one on the original site - and the one there is incorrect, because on the site it still says "A single will be released prior to the 3rd S>Range album "Another Theory". Release date 5th September." ... I was pissed that nowhere there was any better information found - I already speculated about label problems and such, because until now every information about the new album proved wrong, there was a time where it was said it should be released still 2004! Maybe you could tell Ross that they should give out better information ... I don't care if albums are delayed or anything, I just don't like it when there's no information about anything - some statement like "hey, it will be delayed until XYZ due to whatever, but we're still working on it" would be nice...

Could you please elaborate? What means "very soon"? And what is that thing about the single ... when you're reviewing it, does that mean it is out? Where? When? Well ... I found Space better than 2001 ... 2001 still had some flaws in it (Complete Delete, DOS, Maser ... really found them not special), on Space every track is perfect Anyway, I don't think the sample sounds bad at all. The beginning sounds not that good, but then it gets pretty cool I'm of the opinion that his new sound has more crazy-energy ... it sounds much more on the mad and happy side, the "magic" is gone in a way, it can't send any more shivers down my spine ... but it makes me smile - and that's good after all
