Now live: RTP RECORDS - read how it works
RTP replied to RTP's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
So the first single (I'd call it an EP) is out: We are on Spotify, itunes (Apple Music), Amazon, Google (YouTube Music), Deezer, Insta, Napster and even Twitch ... and more This is awesome!!! This first release was mainly a test how it works - but now that I know the workings: I can safely say RTP RECORDS is "open for business" - plan is to buy single tracks from psy artists and release them this way under "Artist = RTP RECORDS" ... of course all that must be agreed upon. Cool thing though: I can literally release singular tracks. Small steps. Meaning: I'll just have a look out now to go buy my first one. And then another one. And so on. All chill and no stress and I don't have to lay out all the money for a compilation beforehand... Let's see what I can come up with Gonna update this if anything noteworthy is developing -

Thanks ... let's see how this develops Regarding genres ... I would make an emphasis on the psy genre (otherwise I wouldn't post here), but I won't say it'll be exclusively that ... maybe make it a little broader and say that I would like to emphasize on "electronic". -

2020-11-11 = RTP RECORDS has gone live (in fact, it really just has ) I have been often thinking about launching a label of my own. Well, these days I thought "no one lives forever" and "what am I waiting for" - so I decided: I'll just jump into it and get going. I got myself an account at a distributor to release stuff to online platforms - and yes, collect royalties. I can collect royalties. That last part wasn't even my plan, honestly, I wanted to do FREE STUFF ... but I have been writing to various companies and there seems to be NO FREE WAY how to get stuff on Spotify and all the other services - at least I never got any answers from anybody who would release anything for free - so I thought, well, "shove it" I'm gonna do it anyways and so I came up with a plan. The distibutor account costs money anyway, so I might as well use royalties to cover these expenses, it'll probably not even buy me a beer... ...nevertheless, here's the concept that I am making up in my head: I am BUYING IN TRACKS from artists - paying them with my own money. The sums must be agreed beforehand and fixed with a contract. Either I pay beforehand or we split up the royalties that trickle in - or a combination of both - as you please. These terms apply: Track must be provided - readily mastered. MP3 or WAV is possible. More formats on inquiry. Artwork can either be provided or will be done by me - consider yourself warned, I am not a good image editor RTP RECORDS is registered as an ARTIST and will release all acquired material under ONE ARTIST = RTP RECORDS Your artist name will be attempted to be packed into the song title ... it will look like: RTP RECORDS - Skeletone _ NPNK --> "RTP RECORDS" is the release institution, "Skeletone" is the artist, "NPNK" is the title. There is NO GUARANTEE you can have the titles your way The song writer of all material will always be BERND MASTERMAN - which is me. You can request being added as a songwriter and I will do that if possible, but Bernd Masterman will always be in it. That is to assure consistency. First release coming up: SKELETONE - NPNK // Absyyyyynth EP https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/rtprecords/skeletone--npnk--absyyyyynth I am doing this mainly as a test to see how it looks like - and to promote the project Skeletone If you got anything you think that is worthy of being released in this project, drop me a line. There is no website or anything yet other than this distributor thing. -
In 71 days this track is likely to be history ... listen to it before it's gone Some say that they are already waiting for it to be gone ... is it really that bad of a track or do they mean the person that the title is about? Then the motto may be "Biden Rising" - but it won't be, because I don't think we ever will make political tracks anymore...

I have a remark about his "stuck in mobile version" thing. Turns out I was too (at least I think)! But I was able to zoom so far out that I practically didn't notice - only recently I realized that the navigation links at the top didn't work anmyore ... drove me mad ... almost wanted to post a bug report for myself ... then I found out that Penzo did a new default skin "Penzonews" and to that one I switched now and that fixed it So: thanks @Penzoline ... and I'm now on the default skin aswell

Hej NHJO do you also do nicknames or character names for (online) games?

Merged the double posts for you, bro ... cheers By the way. Why do you have no Wikipedia article? I didn't find one about you

Hiya ... you seem to have slow internet over there as you make double posts ... I merged them for you -
naaah dude please don't drink this, it's foul stuff, seriously ... it almost made me hate Whisky, because we used to binge drink that as we were teens and I thought all Whisky would be like this stuff -- it needed a (near) miracle to convince me otherwise and really made me realize what a wonderful liquid Whisky is ... and I am not talking about binging it, rather: drink less of it, but more quality... Ah, where are my manners. To each their own. I'm not judging you. But let me just say, if Whisky was a sports car, you are currently sitting at the side of the road in idle Playing a track for you now: Ticon - It Breakz My Heart

I think NHJO is an AI ... now devoted to artist names ... but what intrigued me the most in this thread: Which "Whiskey" did you drink?

Heh, I don't have any VR equipment either - I'd get motion sick with that ... but it's an endlessly cool feeling if you watch a cool vido and suddenly you realize, wait, you can turn the screen (with the mouse). thanks for the suggestion - exactly waht I'm looking for

it sounds tempting, but if I get a software, it should be Cubase, because I want to be compatible with the software my producer friend uses - or is REAPER compatible with Cubase both ways ... that would be awesome?

Here's something I'd percieve as genreless: ...Psytrance or Trance or Tribal Industrial? By the way, I think that This Morn' Omina is way underrated on this forum ...again: what is it: Psytrance? Nah. Industrial? Nah. Genreless? Maybe. It certainly is a way to make the otherwise cheesy and bubblegum-like indian samples sound sharply on point ... and awesome, in my opinion. "Look up - and know!" there seems to be a psytrance mix of this btw, but it's on an obscure sampler and I was not able to find it till now ...and now for something completely different: ...Psychill or HipHop or TripHop? genreless!

I never was a big fan of digital releases. I see their purpose and it's fine that they exist, but I really want something physical. For me it was like this from day 1. We had these p2p sharing softwares back then, everybody could have mp3 (or whatever format), it did not mean anything to have an mp3 - but when I made the effort and invest my then spare money into a physical CD, that meant that I REALLY liked that release or that artist. Now the p2p stuff is long gone, but the attitude stayed the same. Digital a release is and always was too "easy" for me to be able to fully appreciate it - the digital stuff I consume in a multi-tasking-environment, I mostly do something alongside: play games, check news, read psynews. I actually get distracted a lot when listening to digital releases (I only listen to them on PC, I have no network audio player). When it's physical and I listen to it on my CD player, I can only do that, with proper focus - the CD player doesn't do news sites or psynews alongside... My brain is anchored that way - "digital is inferior". It won't change anymore. Which is why I also wrote to Iboga Records recently if they can do me a physical copy of Bakkelite v3.0 ... but unfortunately they ignore me

So today I lost my fkin' wallet... ... currently busy re-ordering all the cards and stuff - fortunately it's become a little easier to do it online, but damn this is shit I feel completely naked without it...

I need a new HiFi system ... some input please?

RTP replied to RTP's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Yes @astralprojection you are right - it's, for my standards, a super awesome setup. I have great joy just listening to my tapes again - in the best sound I have ever got from them. With "surround" and "super bass" (or what it's called) on it enhances the tape sound to something of unheard quality for me... Thanks @Imba for the hint with the capacitors ... I am not very experienced with this though (2 EUR per piece is cool, but I can't solder) - and I don't need the lot of power on the amp, neighbors don't like it anyway. If the sound ever started lacking in quality, I'll look there though. cheers -

Did it ... bought a Technics "HiFi system" with amp, tape deck, turntable and speakers. Speakers: SB-CS7 Amp: SU-X955 Turntable was SL-J110R ... but I'll put that one in storage, I have already a turntable there also is a receiver but I don't need it... Unfortunately it has no CD player - that hurts ... I hooked up my old DVD player and it's ok for now ... may still buy a CD player though. I checked on the web before the purchase and people (audiophiles) were saying it's not a "second coming" of a system, but it's proper and nice old stuff ... and when audio people say that, I knew it was a good decision. And in comparison to my former thing it's really great! I always thought "nah, don't need a new system, only will have problems with the neighbors" -- but a point that I was not thinking about is, how good it also sounds on low volume... Also the tape sound quality is really good ... unfortunately I have only 1 psy tape -
Hi - jep, the cost of founding - the fee - is about 100 EUR indeed for a one-man GmbH ... but for the founding it is required that a minimum of 17.500 EUR needs to be deposited somewhere (this is for a "GmbH i.G.") and the money has to be upped to 35.000 EUR once it's operational. "Stammkapital" this is called. This has not changed according to my info. Source: https://www.wko.at/service/wirtschaftsrecht-gewerberecht/vereinfachte-gruendung-gmbh.html I have, however, spoken to a good soul who was active in Austria as a label owner and he confirmed to me that I will probably be able to do this project without the hassle of founding a company and still be fully legal by stating it as a "personal project" ("Liebhaberei" in german, there's no real translation for that) - yes, I will not be able to deduce any tax from the stuff that I buy, but I will also not be liable to found a company or have any other work with it. And that's a good thing. I'll keep it transparent and re-invest what I get in future releases - or, if really successful, then I'll really found an official label ... as of now, I am very much thinking there won't be any gains and it's just going to be a fun project that will eat hopefully not the entire money away, but who knows ... let's continue this talk if I really have done this release; I have learnt that the winds can change easily - one moment you are actually working up to sign a first track, next thing happening is no answer anymore

Miss Kittin is good, really good ... but she can't be compared to Aigel imo. Aigel focuses much more on voice and what you can do with it, different pronounciations of words, even in nuances ... Miss Kittin is, I'd say, rather trying not to give any pronounciations with her texts, her vocals are rather sterile - and her focus is more on electronic music, where the focus of Aigel is rather on the "rap" parts. Nothing of these has to do with shitty pop music though, I think we kinda lost the thread here Time to bring it back on track:
