Absolutely. Your post in the beginning is actually not very helpful for anybody willing to identify tracks. Try narrowing the possibilities down as much as you could. Samples? Style? Length? Where did you hear it? Etc....

Dude, I appreciate you being all so cool about this, but getting ripped off this way is pretty damn bad. People definitely should know - and they do now, which is good. I was playing with my thoughts whether to order this album and support Wirikuta (and you I thought), but now I'm damn glad that I forgot all about it and didn't do it for it turns out I might have supported ripping you off. Still, cheers for putting the material online and taking it so easy.

Omfg, that's ridiculously cheap. But if it's so cheap, the question is if this is actually really holding the promises... Or are the disks helluva expensive then? I know, I know, "exposed to 85C (185F) temperatures, 85% humidity, and bright, full-spectrum light for 24 hours." and it was still readable ... but if it really holds it you only gonna see if you make a stronger endurance test. I took a lecture on data preservation and there they told us that there's funghi who feed off the data layer material of CDs/DVDs. Can MDisk also battle that?

So ... these are quite strong facts presented over at Isratrance that I would really like to find proof about ... and I'd also have a meaning from the other side... I know I was attempting to contact Wirikuta = Andrea (Florian?) Gambacorta many months back because of some issue I wanted to inquire about which I had been asked for from the team from PanzarProduktionz (didn't concern them in particular though afaik) -- they had asked me because I'm Austrian, that means from the same country. Guess what, the subject was about a scam too. I tried contacting Wirikuta by phone, but I never came through. Very strange. With that, do you mean you have not gotten paid? That would be outrageous. I personally had been ordering CDs and vinyl from them in the past several times and their service was always perfect, nothing to complain about. Also had conversations when they'll get this and that and so on. All good, nothing to complain and Andrea seemed like a nice person. That's why I'm a bit wondering now.

Well, I for my part do have data which I would be happy to last longer than 10 years. My holiday photos for example. It actually would be ideal if there was a service that burns you data on M-Discs ... this way you don't have to afford the M-Disc drive itself, which would probably cost a fortune. And yes, I know there are certain archival services already, but they take monthly fees afaik. Plus the M-Disc will be accessible for me even if the net was down one day or anything... M-Disc burning on request ... hope we will see something like that one day.

You make me listen to You Make Me Wanna Drink More... Hi Moni, what's up?

Earworm! Yes, it's called like that in german too - "Ohrwurm". I just wasn't using the term because I was thinking that this word doesn't exist in english ... so I used sackzement, which is totally out of context and even less known, but well The interesting thing about the earwigs is that we also say "Ohrwurm" (earworm) to the earwigs. It's the same term. I hate earwigs ... we had a lot of them in our garden and I was always paranoid one would crawl into my ear when sleeping... Fortunately it's just earworms what I have ... not earwigs. BTW, Walkabout, I thought you were a chick. Aren't you?

hooray, a zombie thread Those were the times ... Audiogalaxy FTW! They had everything Sad that these times are all gone... but well. Better support the labels, otherwise they'll be gone too

Concerning psytrance it must be Eat Static - B-World for 3 Euros... The album isn't even that good in my eyes, but it's just ... Eat Static, Man The best about these findings is the light in the eyes you get once you find a true gem inside a total bargain box for like 3 Euros. For non-psy I have found cheaper records already...

Yes, it does mean "a bag of cement". And germans say it in a cursing, astonished, surprised kind of way. At least I think That's why I used the word. I myself don't really say that ... I know the word only from Duck Tales comics that I read when I was 14 ... but I kinda thought it fitting here. Whatever... The suffering is awful. I believe it has to do with certain processes in the brain. The brain just plays music and it doesn't stop. Awful. It doesn't even stop now, I just left the house and it continued to play. But at least I now know what song it is. Seriously though, you don't have that? When coming home from a psy party, the music doesn't continue to play in your head either? It does in mine. I can play whole psy "livesets" to myself on a day after I went to a party, twist the sounds around, the beats. So at least the meloy haunting has a good side to it aswell...

Heilige Scheisse! The last three days or so I was haunted by this dead simple synth tune ... and I couldn't find out what track it was. It was terrible. I wanted to know the track, I had to know it, after all I had listened to it so often some time that I remember the tune. The melody was kinda Shiva Chandra-esque ... so I went through all his tunes that I know. I also searched on youtube. But none of these tracks was it. What could it be? Yesterday I was hitting the desk, so enraged it got me. The melody was in my head, ever repeating, such as if the track title was just about to reveal, but it never revealed itself, it just stayed like that. It haunted me. It was so damn annoying. Today, finally, the torment has an end. I've just been jogging and I FOUND IT while surfing through the tunes on my mp3 player. SACKZEMENT! (=german outcry for something surprising, astonishing, even a curse) It's the melody from Auricular - Hypnotize (from the Deep Fact EP)! http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNCTrEqLybQ So I was even right with Shiva Chandra, but I just was checking the wrong moniker. Anyway. Such haunting melodies are crap! I hate that so much! Any other sufferers of such things?

this is really interesting... I did know that Google displayed different search pages in China for example, where it's censored (there was this thing you could pull yourself to search "Tianmen" on the chinese Google and you'd get not a word about the massacre). But I didn't know that personalisation has already gone that far.

Nice find. Yes, we are in deep shit. Europe is not better off. Just look at the 400+ billion Euro fund we are now creating to save Greece and other crisis countries. But do we really save Greece? No we don't save Greece - the Greek won't see a cent of the money. We are saving the BANKS who bought the greek assets! This is all a big SCAM on taxpayer money and at the cost of everyone of the working class - Greeks and other Europeans alike. All to just save the banks. If we had a last bit of sanity we would send Greece bankrupt. Why oh why nobody sees this? The really shocking thing is that everybody counts on the crash meanwhile. I don't know anybody who tells me that it will continue like this. Everybody knows! So why not let it be and let the crash happen now instead of having an even bigger one some years from now?!

I suggested it last time I was out with friends. But we went into a Whisky bar. Playing a power hour there will quickly drown your budget (besides of being impossible to do it with Whisky). But my mates didn't say no, so maybe we gonna try it one day ... not that soon though

Hi, Yes, only 2 media files are allowed to be embedded within [media] tags. Once you try to embed more, that error message appears. And I also have noticed it once that this error doesn't go away anymore even when you reduce the media tags and then have just 1. You have to retry posting in that case (copypaste post text into a text editor, then leave the threa, then come back and post), then it should work. At least I did it like that. Seems to be a bug of the board ... we are planning to make an update someday anyway to maybe fix this and other stuffs... In case it persists even after following the guidelines here just give me a shout

I bought a burger from McDonalds (a new edition). This one: It was quite horrible to eat, the sauce squeezed out everywhere and it also tasted bad. I was so pissed off I even wrote a complaint mail to McD saying the burger is so shitty it stains everything and after eating you look like you made a handjob to an elephant with testicle inflammation. But I myself am to blame. Why on earth did I go to McD? I hate that restaurant. I'll not do it again anyway... But I'm curious if I get an answer to my mail

Holy cow, how could I actually miss this release? I'm shocked, but it did happen. I remember I had registered that it was released, thought I'd put it on a to do list to listen (and review), but that list obviously got squandered somewhere so that I must have forgotten about it. And that was also the reason why I wasn't looking in here, because I said to me "wait, I'll first listen, make my own opinion and then see what people say". That must have come to this that I missed practically everyhing so far. Terrible, terrible. Usually it's not like that though, fortunately Anyway, guys, it's fine to get to know such a lot of the Pusherstreet group history here (after all I knew that history before ), but if you want to talk about the situation of Christiania, please do it in another thread. It's enough to state that the name Pusherstreet was picked in reference to Christiania ... and regardless concerning what goes on there, I find the name damn awesome! What else captures the essence of the sound of this group more than PUSHERSTREET? As I first came across this project, I didn't know at all what the name actually means, I just found it damn awesome and fitting to the sound, because "pushing" it is for sure - and that's what it still is to me. Judging from the posts - as some of you obviously desired another review for this, let me try give it a go The release contains four tracks. Of we go with "Something New, Old". This track was obviously originally called "Something Old, Something New" ... at least that was the title of the alpha version that I luckily got to hear some time ago (weee, I finally can talk about this, hehe ). The latter had been on my mp3 player for quite some time already and it was a perfect tune to run to. It's the same with this, but this sounds much better because it has the element of a changing bassline that makes the whole sound somehow melt into itself where the sum of things is greater than its parts. The whole song is starting off quite basic, with a simple structure that builds and gets more and more bold over time (even though it doesn't change) until to the point where the bassline changes, the effects shift a few keys and the whole thing suddenly gains an integrity that is quite cool. What I like about this is the range of things that Pusherstreet showcase to be done with a relatively simple song structure and simple elements. The second track "Can't Be Stopped" is the classic that the release text suggested. That is the explanation for the people who don't know. People who know will not need an explanation because they instantly recognize this from the Goagemiein.de compilation "Groove In Progress". As I am counting myself to the latter, this track is old news for me, I know it like my legs, who are shaking to this as they can't sit still to it. It's not a fast track, but it has got a nice groove. "Pusherstreet can't be stopped!" - what a catch line. It's the same slogan as on the sticker that is pictured on the cover. I have already asked and I was told these were real stickers that were handed out to the public to raise awareness for Pusherstreet in Christiania. Anybody still has one of them? I take it - and put it on my bicycle, anytime. I'm serious. If you got one, PM me After that, it's time for a "ZnowZtorm". Is that the voice of a Wookie sampled at the beginning? Or wait, when it's a SnowStorm then that must be the Star Wars Yeti. Hold on, it IS the Star Wars Yeti (and even if it's not, it sounds a lot like it - compared with youtube right now)! How cool is that?! See, that is an exact example for the cool humour these guys sometimes have in their tracks - that's one more reason for me to like this project so much. Nothing tells me "shut up, dance and be happy" in a better, fresher, funnier and more fitting way than this music. And the track is perfect. Jump around, wiggle the melody around, smile. And on winter days, you can have fun in the snow. It is that good And then it's already time for the last track - "Acid Test". And hey, I do recognize this one - yes indeed, that was the one I repeatedly played the track snippet on Myspace and kept my neighbours up with it, I liked it so much. "License and Registration!" ... just a perfect sample - perfect because I recently had the joy to drive across Austria as a passenger of a guy who had, guess what, no driver's license. Hahaha! I'd have shat my pants if the cops came. Which they didn't. And it's great to have the full track now! It is the most intense one on this release, with a lot of power on the synths. The "acid" in the title isn't there for nothing. I like how at the beginning the melody is simple, builds and then it's like the main one kind of breaks through with a blast. The music of Pusherstreet is not complex. It is simple, yet the guys manage to do a lot with these simple elements. Also, the melody and rhythm combine very well, they are practically one, you can't seperate them, it all works together and is integrated very tightly and skillfully. And that is why I find this to be great art. Others might think differently, but I find this awesome. Sure, it's nothing to lie on the couch with closed eyes and pay attention to every layer. Come down from the complexity. Why not doing your favourite sports to it? You gonna love it. At least I do Overall: awesome release. And a big shame that I had missed it from the start. Doesn't matter, it'll get enough spins on my player now Get it from Ektoplazm

You can also try Hilight Tribe. Their music is more focused on trance (in its very sense) and they achieve it with mostly organic instruments. For example they have a real bassline - played with a bass. I have not yet encountered another band that has that... http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj3tHQM71Ak

And that is the point. Who would have thought that of such promising acts of the past that they now are clinically dead when it comes to releasing new stuff? I wouldn't have expected that. Go, S-Range, go! You already got 2 votes
