The second one is quite beautiful. 25 Euro is really too low for it (I'd immediately take it at that price though ), considering it's handpainted...

A few more: 12 Moons - Solid State Matenda - Natural Development Healer - Higher Grounds Shiva Chandra - Auricular

What's your relation to psychedelic trance these days?
RTP replied to Oopie's topic in General Psytrance
Yes. Invasion of the "Krocha" (the new species of chavs, the ones with the fluo hats, we call 'em here like that), it's happening. "Terrible" is a word far too harmless for this utmost horrific latest outburst of chavness. I find myself rambling about the spoiled youth of nowadays like a grumpy ol' pop lately, it's funny. But it's horrible to watch. If they are coming to a psy party, which they are now, it means stress, unfriendlyness and generally bad vibes. And they are starting to infest them nowadays ... and it's going to get worse, I have it in the urine... Fortunately last time, as S-Range was playing, there people said there were so many of these Krochaz, but I was not noticing any of them, was too busy dancing and hurrying to toilet for water and not looking left and right. And I'm so happy about that ... because Krochaz and S-Range, if I saw that I'd have hanged myself right there from a lamp on the toilets, I swear! But it wasn't the case. And now I can die in peace, peace, peace ... because I had one tremendous intense time, the best time of my life Actually now that I touched the peak it's actually sad it was the peak. And it was the peak, because I almost collapsed that evening, more is not possible, not physically, not psychologically. I touched the peak! Well, but that's the thing that makes me a bit sad now, because from the peak you can only descend anymore, there is nowhere higher to go. And I somehow have it in the urine that in the future i'll focus more on other things than psytrance. I'll probably get my diploma, a girlfriend, a job ... I'll not have time for this anymore. I'm growing up... Well, of course, I can not let go of it, never ... but it will decrease, I'll be less on parties, less after new releases, more focus on other things. But I'm so glad it went so good till now. And that I touched the peak. I had such great times in this scene. And that's what I'll probably treasure until I'm dead (gosh, I'm speaking like if this was the end ... I assure you it's not ) -
That's a Saiko-Pod quote... I know, it's the same guys, but to Saiko-Pod I connect it more. Koxbox stands for me for the "Stay Psychedelic..." saying.

I have Poem and I find it very good I think the real destiny of Delerium is to be like it's now - new age-ish, poppy ... that's what makes Bill Leeb such a genius IMO, on one side he's got the industrial and noisy stuff and then there's Delerium, which is actually pop. That's such a contrast. It's wonderful. It shouldn't be different.

AFAIK you can't download the videos from Youtube - that's the concept of that site, that people can promote their videos, but not enabling everybody to download and thus owning the works (at least not per se, so if anybody manages to download with tricks, that doesn't count!). And if artists don't like it when people put their songs on Youtube they can request the videos being taken off the servers. So it's all cool. Therefore I think it's legal, the Youtube stuff...

Well, S-Range for sure could be something you like. Morning trance is his second surname ... the earlier the stuff the more in the progressive direction the style gets, I'm sure you'll find something. However, there's also much other stuff: Great that this album gets some recognisation ... indeed, Matenda's latest piece is some of the best morning trance ever. 12 Moons - Solid State would be another one for the list. There's a better morning song by Etnoscope than the one recommended though: Silent Agreement! And BE SURE to check out their remix of Sound Field's "Second Step Above The Sun"!!! And there also is this "morning progressive" (I call it like that, because I mostly listen to it in the morning) album out by Massimo Santucci...

Materia Debut album went out end of March. I think this guy will come out bigger and bigger. And he's not that bad Haven't got the album, but saw him live... Check it out!
-
thanks ... so I voted for the Y2K remix
-
Guys, chill down, you don't even know for sure if that picture is going to be the cover art! I don't think it will be. On the other hand I don't know either
-
It's September indeed. http://www.astral-projection.com/ So no rush with threads about that album...
-
The one that is on Goa-Head 13. Which one is that? The cover just says "Trip Tonite (Remix)", but not which one ... although I assume this is the same as on the Hell's Kitchen vinyl...
-
I suppose you mean Liquid Sound Design, don't you? They're called Liquid Sound now. Without the D. I remember a thread about Orchid Star, one of their recent outputs...
-
I have the record aswell ... but no air-free bag Oh and I'd love to see Vangelis live aswell. Damn!
-
Hey, that is actually quite nice
-
Aaah, good news finally... but not for me, I spent this month's money on concert tickets and a soon to be mine ipod gotta wait... damn! I'd really want it. Maybe if I let go of a concert...
-
yeah, right! damn hippies How about Andre Absolut? Most of his remixes are warm and housy Just right now I'm checking out Roman Rai ... might be something for you aswell... Maybe Playmaker (Chris Pointdexter's second personality)? That's all rather prog-housey though. I don't know anything with that poppy-ness that Ticon - 2AM has. Maybe the "MTV" mentionings weren't even that wrong concerning this ... for example Madonna nowadays sounds like that... There's a kinda "poppy" (not housey though) tune you could check out though: Shiva Chandra - Return To Atlantis Seriously BTW, Models On Cocaine is a killer! The only reason to buy 2AM. But since I got it for free (legally!), I won't buy it

Transdimensional vs. I.F.O. : prices of originals
RTP replied to Goa-Head's topic in General Psytrance
alien words ... what are you talking about? anyway, filesharing is :wank: ... a collector will never be satisfied with mp3s, even those who just want the music and not the original release... -
Don't paint the devil on the wall

Transdimensional vs. I.F.O. : prices of originals
RTP replied to Goa-Head's topic in General Psytrance
I think the rerelease of Transdimensional made the prices dump quite low, because now only real collectors will go for the original release while others who are just wanting the music (like me) would go for the rerelease. I appreciate it for I dismiss the high prices of certain stuff in an underground culture. We are talking about Goa Trance and not hand signed Elvis records... IFO however has no rerelease and therefore is still highly sought after. The quantity is not that much of a factor I think, except that it might increase the probability that somebody will sell it and doesn't know what it's worth, thus resulting in the possibility of finding this piece for a bread and butter ... which is what I concentrate on! -
Where is Moni actually? Haven't seen her around in the last months at all
-
I had that info from Rickard ... he told me. Best news source is to ask the artists when there's a chance I don't know when the new Vibrasphere will come out though
-
Aaah, I even remember Rick telling me about this! But I totally forgot the name of the project (I'm terrible with names) ... and I thought nobody else would know, so I didn't ask Thanks for bringing that back to my memory, because I really was interested in the Hyzer project since I liked the sound of Tributaries And indeed, the sound is good. Listening to their myspace right now. The new Vibrasphere album that comes out will however have the more traditional Vibrasphere sound...
-
I just listened to Solid State again and now conclude that this is one of the utmost best trance albums I know! I love the warm sound and the gentle progression, the comfortable feeling ... this is so good that I'm confident that I could run around the globe to this, seriously! There's lots of other good progressive out there, but none of it that I know is equally genious in the same way. Any news on this? I'm quite puzzled that an artist who brought out a masterpiece like this just disappeared. It's like if he had the "Noma syndrome", that's the only other guy I know where it went kinda the same way - one good album and a few 12" and then all of a sudden nothing more... In the meantime, does anybody know any similar stuff? Because I'll soon need another fix
-
yes, yes it is Exclusive tracks from Eat Static, Man With No Name, unreleased remixes from Banco De Gaia, Koxbox and so on. This was one of the first Goa Trance CDs I bought cheap and I only later on realized what a gem it actually is... don't download
