  1. Of course I do What do you think I got all that CRM training for over the last two years?
  2. Yes, he is ... although as I had a chat with him last year he didn't come across that shy. Maybe a bit reserved, but he's a cool guy. Answered all the questions I had. I think his shyness has lessened over time (as far as I know you told me you met him years ago)...
  3. That brings me on an idea ... how about really hiding secret messages in psy tracks that are heard when the record is played backwards?
  4. Why not send it to me instead, oopie?
  5. 5 days ago I saw a copy of Classical Mushroom. I didn't buy it. Maybe some kid will buy it at some time and will be disappointed that it's not poppy sound...
  6. Beat Bizarre ... latest album "Somersault Industries", from 2005. Noma ... stopped producing music. Unfortunately. MOS ... long time no hear (latest track "Fire" on Goahead 18 from 2003 ... it is the best MOS track I know though) ... did they stop producing too? I don't know, maybe anybody else can confirm? Magnetrixx ... latest Magnetrixx album "Wired" from 2005, soon to release a debut album under the name "Audiomatrixx - Variations" together with Audiomatic on AP rec.; samples on myspace. SBK ... latest album Borderline, from 2004. Shiva Chandra ... latest album Change Of Air, from 2005. I like your nickname btw
  7. *explodes* Damn, I have 55 Cents on my bank account ... that won't be enough for a plane ticket and the entry, no?
  8. Well, I don't really "meet" artists (you know, for a beer or so ... although I'd really like to go drinking once with some of the guys) ... but mostly when there's somebody international coming here and plays a good set I try to walk up to them later and tell them that their set was good and maybe have a little chat ... that's what I do. Well, at least "try to do", because sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes I really want to go up and ask them something, sometimes I couldn't care less... I can confirm that Human Blue is a very cool guy for example. Also Feuerhake. S-Range too. Atmos is cool too, but he was one of those who were in a hurry to catch their plane. And the Astral Projection guys are cool ones too ... went up to them and Avi hugged me, just because he felt like it obviously, haha... But that's what I really like about this scene, well, in fact about the whole more underground and not well known styles of music: it's a familiar atmosphere on parties and all that, it's possible to walk up to DJs or artists and say hi, they don't hide behind a wall of securitys or iron barriers as it's the case with other, more popular kinds of music. But actually I can understand that. If a "star" would be so open and talk to every fan, he/she wouldn't be able to go to sleep for three days after a gig because so many fans wanna talk, wanna have something signed. In that sense I'm actually very happy that only so "few" people listen to psy...
  9. Some people I know hated psy, hate chill, hate ambient ... they actually hated every kind of electronic music except the trip hop stuff such as Thievery Corporation. Once, as we were all stoned, I put on some Ultimae ambient stuff ... Solar Fields and Aes Dana. Guess what: they loved it! And from now on they respect it ... they don't listen to it, but they repect it for they know that it can be good music in the right situation. So, wait for the right moment. If you just want to break through the wall by just playing psy all the time at your place you may risk that people don't want to come to your house anymore because they don't like the music. That happened to me too already. Now when people come they always tell me: "Please, leave your psytrance and all that synth shit in the drawer, will you?" I do it. It's not fun when I see othery aren't enjoying themselves.
  10. Yeaah, that's cool ... back from holiday and a new Matenda is out! "A combination of Matenda's ordinary progressive psy stuff and his chilling tunes", I read somewhere. Judging from the samples it apparently is. I was looking forward to this one already since the beginning of the year! As a potential candidate for this year's top ten! Damn, I'm definitely going to get this one as soon as I have money again...

    Thirty

Happy birthday, Mars Nice posting ... I hope I'll be able to say something like that too once I'll be 30 (I hope it will take very long until that point though ... I don't want to get older...)
  12. For me it's neither Psyshop nor Saikosounds! I don't like Psyshop because they only have payment via credit card or via ridiculously high COD fees thatI'm unable to pay ... last time I wanted to order a CD there the COD would have been more than the CD costs! Saikosounds is a good shop with good selection, but I can't order from them as well because I ain't got a credit card and because bank transfer fees to their account in the UK are so high I nearly exploded as I had to pay that last time! That is not Saiko's fault, I know, but still, can't do that anymore, too expensive. But there's one shop left: Wirikuta! Wirikuta is in my own country and accepts COD! And because they are in my country the shipping costs and the COD fees are both low (well, "low" is relative with 6 Euros something, but they are the lowest fees of them ALL and if I order more items the costs spread, so it's ok!). And Wirikuta gets most relevant new releases ... so: Wirikuta for me, this way I'm as happy as I can be (hey, that's a verse!)
  13. 1st question: S-RANGE - SPACE there I really like all tracks 100% indeed, that really is a good album aswell... For the second question I second Seraph's answer for Son Kite - Colours...
  14. Yes, it is Atmos - Cable Enable from album Headcleaner...

    ETNOSCOPE

Well, I think if you expect the type of insane fast tribal drum trance madness that Etnoscope was famous for until now you will see that the sound has changed ... some of the songs are even ambient ... although of course it still mostly has this typical Etnoscope vibe going on. The sound obviously has gone a bit slower, funkier, more groovy and intelligent, warmer, more home listening friendly ... but still not loosing the roots. To me it's really good stuff. Especially the clip from Twilight I like a lot! But most of the others are great too Oh, btw: the clips are in 320k mp3 quality! Look in the studio section...
  16. yes, yes ... the new album from them is quite controversial to their usual concept... heard some samples myself and well ... apparently they just wanted to shovel some money from it by using the name Haldolium...
  17. Ah yeah ... and soon we'll have pictures of label owners posing with their guns and saying "try to get your money and I'll shoot you in the head" ... "PLUR" psytrance scene of now has become as rude as the blackmetal scene meanwhile...
  18. Yeehaaa! :posford: I already thought Etnoscope were dead because I never heard from the new album again they were speaking of already years back... But apparently they are back again. Yes, indeed. One of my favourite psytrance bands is back on track and working on releasing a new album! YAY! Judging from the new samples they put online apparently they make a bit chillier style now, more progressive, not their characteristic fast tribal percussion madness anymore ... but the sound is warm and nice, I quite like what I hear ... this release that's boiling there on their stove could be a new gem Site -> http://www.etnoscope.com/ I'm very happy now
  19. Ah, it's not that bad ... you gotta dig a bit, but there are still lots of good and original artists out there. And I don't even speak for psytrance only. There still is some killer new album stuff from top notch (meaning GOOD!) psytrance producers scheduled for release this year which I wanna spend my money on...
  20. I don't review much ... I guess I have posted one real review so far if you don't count that S-Range promo... That Matenda release I reviewed I probably did after the first few days with five or six listenings in total. To some of you that might be like nothing ... but to me it was almost too much, at the edge of overplaying. The Matenda I put into my record player after that review some times again and my judgement did not change and will not change. I can say I'm generally quite quick with my judgement concerning releases ... like, two listenings and I know whether this is good or not. And more I don't wanna give it anyway if it's not good. Most often it doesn't even need two listenings, most stuff instantly flashes me with first listening. And generally the impressions I have after the first or second listening tend to last quite long - that is years. That is not the case when I listen to it too much though, then it gets old quickly (yes, even the utmost best stuff!) ... yes, seriously, if I listened to the CDs I own in the first year as often as you (probably all) do just in the first month, it gets overplayed! That might sound strange to some, but it is like that. And thus I actually only listen to mediocre stuff often and treasure the good stuff for special occasions
  21. (Tatsu, the guy's name is Nagmanda ) I too made a succesful trade with Nagmanda. All went well and the condition of the stuff was good too ... the vinyls and CDs play well and some of the covers just needed some bit of adhesive tape here and there to look like new. What really had a positive impact on me was that plastic sleeves for the vinyls were supplied ... I ran out of those before, so thanks again So ... overall a nice guy with fairly good prices. Can recommend him!
  22. S-RANGE & MATENDA!!! Human Blue & 12 Moons ... or Matenda & 12 Moons Hmmm ... I don't think that would be too good, you know ... there's this saying in german that goes "zu viele Köche verderben den Brei" (too many cooks make the meal bad), which means that if too many people work on something in the end nothing useful comes out...
  23. yes, yes, yes Once there was this dude who used to scream this "fasteer!" in such a desperate and begging tone I always had to grin when he did it despite normally this goes on my nerves
  24. Yep, that's a good post ... I knew the german version of it before that they posted on goabase...
