once a week You know, that's where I'm a bit of a weird guy, because to musical masterpieces I listen to NOT OFTEN(!) - first to not overplay it and second the moment is hardly worth of such divine music - this is no background music, this is music for lying down on the couch with ambientish lights, lava lamp and a burning shisha. Music for special moments! I only listen when I have the impression that everything is perfect. And this is not often the case. To Hydroponic Garden I'm sure that I did listen less than 10 times! It's true! Funny, huh? Guess I'm the only one here doing that...

S-Range - Star Alliance Human Blue - Rollercoaster, Dream Creator and Sandal Wood But I enjoy the tracks more that make me feel floating, not flying (flying is too fast for me and I have flight anxiety ) .. such as Atmos - Fill The Hat...

hahaha, I know why I don't use ICQ anymore ... BTW, Infected will come to vienna with Yahel in the backpack... guess the ticket prices! A quote from the site of the event: will u go, pavel? I'll invite you for a beer when u come here to see them

Aaah, finally! Very nice to see the results! BIG thanks to you, Moni Nice statistics...

héhé ... those quotes kinda remind me of this girl I once met... she was into goa trance (attention: all girls that were into goa trance that I have met randomly (not on parties) so far were kinda crazy ... and with this one it was more obvious than with any others so the alarm bell in my brain had already rung and I knew the answer to the question "I listen to goa trance. You know what it is?" already before I had asked it - well, of course she said yes to that question in the end, but I was so sure already before like I was going to eat my underpants if my assuming was wrong...). her quotes were like those you posted ... they made absolutely no sense ... and her talking was jumpy - she began the sentence with one thought and in the middle of the sentence jumped to something completely different ... like "oh yes, I too think that everybody needs to do something for the environment - do you know that all politics are ruled by the illuminati?" (just an example ... illunimati is the only word I didn't heard from her ) ... it was funny ... I had nothing to do in that evening, so I tried to tickle a bit more out of her ... concerning mental problems and stuff ... but she didn't want to tell me ... but I could tell it, tell it from her talks, from everything ... everything on this peson was mentally deranged, but yet in such a stupid helpless and naive way, it was somewhat cute and head-shot style at the same time... ... thanks for reminding me of that girl ... a parade-example of crazy goa girls I met

You know what's funny? I actually don't have any friends that really like psy as I do. But once in Amsterdam when everybody was on something and we were lying there in our hotel room stoned outta our brains I put on Solar Fields and Aes Dana and EVERYBODY liked it (there were only girls and boys with me that always said they didn't like it, mind you!)! Until this day they say to me this was freakin' good music! You see - if you want to convince your girlfriend/boyfriend at least a bit towards psy music, maybe it would be a good idea to introduce it to them when they're stoned?
-
I listen to Solar Fields on mornings where I'm hangovered. It has already become some kind of ritual, tiger balm on the forehead and Solar Fileds on the speakers. This is ideal music for hangovered sunny mornings for me... When I'm not hangovered I like all kinds of stuff in the morning, mostly scando trance though Currently I really like Soundfield - Second Step Above The Sun (Etnoscope Remix) for a nice wakeup...

I have actually a quite - well, very - big list of "most wanted albums"... you know why? Because I refuse to pay more than 5 Euros for music! Well, okay, for really good pieces I go up to 10 Euros. But that's upper limit! An excerpt of the list: S-Range - Space Etnoscope - Drums From The Dawn Of Time Dimension 5 - Transdimensional / Second Phaze Ra - To Sirius Eat Static - Abduction Beat Bizarre - Lewd / Pandoras Groove Box Magnetrixx - Trittschall / Phase Shift Koxbox - (all of them) Banco De Gaia - Last Train To Lhasa Aes Dana - Season 5 Makyo - Yakshini ...

same here that's why I'm single When I go talking to a nice girl all is well until it comes to music. When I start talking about music and this goa/psy trance stuff and what parties I go to they just always give me that unknowing look with a faint smile (just like if they were thinking "ok, that one is a bit crazy ... no, he's actually quite crazy ... I just keep listening so that he doesn't know what I think of him") ... and then it comes out they may find me nice, but don't want anything from me at all because I am obviously too twisted for them. It is like that. Either that or they are crazy or weird or twisted aswell and I don't like that, so I don't want anything from them. Is like that.

yes and there isn't even a sample of it on Saikosounds ... only of Mission Impossible, the other track on that 12" and I'm not a filthy downloader anymore, you can't even request it from me dude, I know your replies were made up answers your post was about the fact you thought you could predict the outcome that everybody will say "both are important", wasn't it? well, I showed you that you couldn't. not everybody will say "both". I don't

haha, I like that description

ETNOSCOPE! ETNOSCOPE! Be freakin' sure to check out ETNOSCOPE! Practically every single one of their tracks is a gem! Intense tribal madness! They are the masters... But Antix - Lull is tribal? I'd not really say so (I only know one song from Antix that I would say is tribal and that's Can't Quit...) ... but anyway, I think that the dude won't really like it as he said he is rather searching for fullonish stuff...

well, unfortunately I never got any answer to my e-mail However, I have now found out that the new Spiral Trax will not be run by DJ Anti. It's some other guy behind it ... but I forgot the name ... just wanted to add that here
-
Also don't forget a new Atmos album which will come out sooner or later on Digital Structures. Heard his live set last night where he presented some tracks of it and they sounded really good to me ... it's likely that the new Atmos will be one of the best albums released this year
-
no, you don't remember the example I gave ... Matenda - Bonaca? Listen to that and tell me where the melody hides ... because I don't hear much of a melody there. But the track is one of my favourites! How come that? Because of the bassline? Well, I'd say it's not only because of the bassline, but that one is definitely a very important factor why I like the track
-
Sometimes I dig the bassline more and sometimes the melody. It depends. When I listen to Matenda - Bonaca I dig the bassline, when I listen to S-Range - On A Mission I dig the melody. Overall I might say I'm a bit more of a sucker for basslines though. But a track consists of far more than that - samples and effects and all that. And there are tracks that basically have neither a realy good melody nor a really good bassline (IMO) and I'm enjoying them more than anything else - best example is Noma - Soon So I voted both. But it still takes more than one or both of those elements to make a good track.
-
yes, I second that! Abduction is one of my favourite Eat Static songs. It's perfect, chilled and beautiful. I love it

I think Psychopod needs more attention on this forum
RTP replied to jivamukti's topic in General Psytrance
ah, I see ... I knew about Koxbox and Saiko-Pod only and always thought when people talk about Psychopod they mean Saiko-Pod because the names are pronounced the same way... -
also try their Introphaze/Vattensørja 12" ... that is the least crazy one

I always thought Psychopod = Saiko-Pod ? -
heh, I always go home in the early morning ... at six or so ... never stayed until the end, never!

at least the first track title speaks the truth: Psytrance is going nowhere!
